Lady Gaga, new song

Not my kind of music...which is honestly surprising. I listen to pretty much every type of music it seems except rap and pop.

Catchy enough, I suppose. But I won't be buying this song off iTunes or anything anytime soon.

Liking it, but Born This Way and this new song aren't anywhere near as good as most songs on her first album (The Fame was my favorite album for years). But oh well, maybe Judas will grow on me the same way Alejandro did.

The problem with "Judas", along with most of Lady Gaga's songs, is that they lack subtly. Just loud synths, louder bass and over the top lyrics that makes Poison sound like Bob Dylan. Maybe my expectations are too high, but if you studied music at NYU, I expect a little bit more creative than party chants disguised as something deep.

I always thought she was saying "Capital H-I-M," because Christians capitalize "Him" when talking about God. So it doesn't matter if you love "him," as in a guy (specifically a gay guy) or God.

And I Googled it just, now and the vast majority of the comments I'm seeing say the same thing. And one of them right here on the Lady Gaga message boards [http://www.ladygaga.com/forum/default.aspx?cid=454&tid=474037] says this:

She said "H-I-M" is someone you look up to, your higher self. For example, your H-I-M could be Lady Gaga, if you look up to her. It could be any type of God-like figure that inspires you in life. It could be Jesus, Alah, etc, but she is saying it doesn't matter what you believe in, we are all equal, we all love and look up to different people and things, it doesn't have to be just a human (him) that we can love. We can love other people that influence us and it doesn't matter. We shouldn't judge people on it.

Besides, H.I.M. makes no sense. The song addresses people who dislike gays for religious reasons. What on earth does His Infernal Majesty have anything to do with that? I mean, just look at this line:

"A different lover is not a sin

Believe capital H-I-M"

I think it makes much more sense for her to be referring to God than to a random rock band.

It's a dull rehashing of everything that was popular about her original hits, using cheap and boring "shlock" to try and whip the American Christian nutters into a frenzy as a sort of cheap marketing ploy, just to point out to the young and disenfranchised youth how edgy and controversial she is, when in fact she's not, she's boring and everything she does has been done before, better.

I know she can write good songs, and the fact that she's now choosing not to is more of a social commentary than anything she actually sings about.

Fourth'd. I despise Lady Gaga and all the overproduced, autotuned crap she stands for. I much prefer some good old, classic hard rock.

It's good, but not on par with her usual quality. Lady Gaga is increasingly becoming more concerned with being "weird" or "edgy" than with actually making catchy songs.

This is her first single that I actually wouldn't consider radio-ready. It's good, but definitely not fit for mainstream radio, which is surprising from her.

See: "Born This Way". She just talked about drag queens and homosexuality (not really sure why this was so edgy, but apparently most of her audience thought so) with a mediocre beat backing her up.

I don't particularly care for Lady Gaga. I respect the 'empire' she has built on her catchy music and crazy fashion styles but it does not appeal to me whatsoever.

This song is just an other one to add to the bad music pile that constitutes popular music today.
