we've all played online games here. What the strangest or most frustrating knd of lag you have experienced in any game?

Mine would have to be in Team Fortress, when I have a bad connection Bodies start falling in random places.

Crysis Multiplayer *shudder*....... The people who lagged there got advantages more often than not because they'd disappear and reappear in strange places so quickly you could never shoot them. By the time they were done lagging, they'd already run away or blown your face off...

Stupid Crytek and their cessation of support for Crysis.....

a lot of fps's seem to do that, like in cod4. I've seen people jumpin around like crazy and before you now it your dead.

It's good to know that my pain is shared by others.....
It's very frustrating during RTS's to have lag, too, but not overly so.

I raid EQ2 and have for a few years...lovely stuff there when more than oh say 3 guilds are in the same raid zone...yeah lotta server side lag there. Gotten better but still sucks. Thanks SOE for server merges and other bullcrap. Saw some good lag on COD4 over the weekend so I can empathize with ya Rampage.

Catching a boat from menethil harbour and being stuck on said boat floating high above stonetalon mountains with a bunch of other random players unable to move from my spot for 20 min before suddenly arriving at darkshore.
one of the other people on the boat who was able to move jumped off and i've always been curious as to where they actualy landed.
Just one example of the crazy, frustrating things i've seen Lag do.

I would say, running through 10 or so enemies on low HP, then 5 mins later I actually die cause of it

I always thought it was a demonstration of how to make a game lag.

Lag in Garry's Mod when you are talking to a admin about why he shouldn't ban you. Any lag at all involved with admins is horrible.

Playing GTA Race where im driving and cars teleport everywhere, the only thing i can do is hope to god that the car doesn't teleport into me and crush my car into a box.

Also, shooting at people in COD and then realising that im shooting at a ghost of the player when hes actually invisibly standing about a metre to the right.

Mine's pretty mundane, but I was playing Diablo 2 with my brother, and we'd just gotten to that bit just before Baal where he summons these uniques for you to kill. The first one lagged me so bad that when my computer regained consciousness, I was dead and my brother had killed all the bosses and was fighting Baal in the next room.

Another time I was playing Company of Heroes against my friend over Hamachi, and he was raping me soundly. He finished me off by V2ing my command center, and JUST as it hit I lagged out. We joked later about him literally bombing me out of the game.
