So whats the lamest or worsed way you have seen the bad guys get beaten in a tv show or movie.

For me i was just watching war of the worlds. i was thinking that has to be the worse way the bad guys get beaten. they get sick and die. so if the aliens had just kept up their immune booster shots before coming to earth they would have won.

how about you?

That makes sense, though, jumping from one biosphere to another like that an running around in the open air is going to lead to problems.

Independance Day...using a laptop to download a virus into an alien ship which transmits to all other ships to turn their shields off (and only their shields off) so that the US president can lead the world's defences from his fighter plane (co-ordinated worldwide by Morse code) to attack mile wide ships with standard AAMs...fuck that.

Seriously, fuck that.

The lamest way to beat the bad guy is taking part in an anime, because they ALWAYS come back.

I'm going to go with a majority of DBZ.

Spend 4-5 episodes building up energy, then 1hKO the guy.

I hated this. Seriously, they were here on earth (in the ground) for thousands of years and they didn't notice this shit. Aliens that can come up with this kind of tech should be a little smarter than that in my opinion. Hell, even we (with our "can't even put a man on Mars" tech) can figure out that maybe we are not equipped to survive another planet's biosphere.

The only thing that was stupider in my opinion were the aliens from Signs. They were allergic to fucking water! And they decided to invade a planet that consists for like two thirds out of the stuff. Hell, they shouldn't even be able to walk around what with all of the water that is in the air at all times...

This one is just moronic. In the book, as far as I know, the aliens simply arrive from Mars and attack. That makes some sense, although you're left wondering why the martians didn't see it coming.

I haven't seen the movie, but if they were actually on Earth (studying us, from what I understand) for so long and didn't manage to grasp that something so basic as a disease could completely screw up their plan... Well, that simply makes no sense.

It's almost as if they wanted to change the beggining story to pass some kind of message but failed to notice that the original ending lost all sense.

This one is just plain dumb.

"Hey guys! I have a brilliant idea: Let's invade a planet. The one with the frequent acid rain sounds nice."

There was a craked thing about this, things like the witch king getting face-p0wned even though he had ample opportunity to kill her.

Bleach, i knew the whole Aizen thing would end terribly since the amount of shit he survives just makes whatever did finally kill seem totally unbelievable.

I'll round it up:

The good guys pull some awesome teamwork shenanigans on him to finally stab him in the heart and he just says "oh that wasn't me you just owned, it was your teammate. LOL"

And then he gets betrayed by his own second in command who stabs him in the heart again with a sword coated in super-poison and he just brushes that off.

It was at this point i said to myself "well you know the only thing that can defeat him now? Super main character training bullshit"

And i was right, predictably

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

Fucking true master of the Elder Wand? TRUE FUCKING MASTER? So Voldemort doesn't get an epic death, he gets his own spell embarassingly rebounded on him by a bloody disarming spell? Yeah that ending came right out of JK's ass.

Aizen lost because the Hougyouku abandoned him.

Was that it? It's been ages since i've read Bleach, i suppose i'll reread that arc again today for old times sake.

I'll elaborate on my initial point though, Aizen was so damn powerful and had survived absolutely everything thrown at him without any significant injuries so whatever did defeat him would feel contrived (imo of course) since the writer couldn't really just have Aizen be defeated in battle without making it feel even more contrived since he'd lol'd off all previous attacks.

I do realise that that power was basically all due to the Hougyouku being in his possession, so him losing it would be basically the only way to go storywise since he's already shown as being the most powerful son of a ***** in the entire damn manga. But to me it feels more like a loophole left there by the writer as an easy "way out" rather than a believeable ending to an arc.

Having a telepathic, spider-baby from Arthurian Legend turn off your magic in your mind, wrap an imaginary wire around you, then force you to pull apart your face piece by piece...

What a great way to get rid of an uber-powerful villain...King.

I didn't read it myself. A friend told me, and he is an avid follower of Bleach. We joke that the Hougyouku didn't like the whole 'ButterflAizen' thing. Because basically...we can agree that the power of the thing made Aizen so incredibly mighty that it would take more than just Ichigo to spoil his plan. And while that would seem like a real letdown, I can see it happening.

The Replacement Jutsu in Naruto. Which ninja hasn't fallen for that? It is a basic genin technique. Even the academy students can pull this one off. I'm surprised they haven't brushed that one off more recently. Now they're all like, "I didn't need to dodge that because your attack was pathetic."
