Russian. I could stand somewhere and yell such things as, "Hello, I am pleased to make your acquaintance, I hope you have a wonderful day," and people would wonder what was going on.

tbh, commas are much more of a problem. you can, but you don't have to, but there are some cases you must... ah stupid. everything got so vague with the last reform of the reform of the reform... why couldn't we stick to the old stuff with some minor changes. They are even changing the official spelling of words like mayonnaise -> majonäse. stuuuupid.

Don't get me started on commas, there have been essays written on that. I usually go with "whenever I feel like it". Even the Microsoft Word grammar check has a lot of false positives and negatives in german. It can't be trusted. The main problem is you can wrap one german sentence around two pages without ever getting to the point. (See Kant)

Norwegian would be pretty awesome to learn, all that great literature they seem to have. I have a bunch of English translations of various Knut Hamsun books and the like, but I get the feeling no translation could really do it justice.

Lykke til ^^. Norsk er ganske vanskelig, spesielt siden vi har to skriftspråk og mange dialekter. Ikke mist motet dog, første steg er viljen til å lære.

(Good luck ^^. Norwegian is pretty hard, especially since we have two written forms and a lot of dialects. Don't get disheartened though, the first step is the will to learn.)

I would like to expand my limited knowledge of japanese, and also include being able to read it, so I could order games directly

C'est tres bien, non? Spend some time on learning pronunciation and a few sentences. Learn just enough to impress her, and also gain a useful tool, should you ever travel to a french-speaking place.

I don't know much french, but enough to get around an airport and talk to stewardesses, since 9 out of 10 french I have met do NOT speak English in a manner I can decipher >_>

Not meaning to bash the french, just my experience.
