Lets wait until we see what the waist-breast proportion is like before we start calling her new image 'realistic.'

Underworld was alright it would have been the best CD tomb raider game but for the complete lack of unlockable stuff like the cheats and time trials stuff from Anniversary really suggests to me that they had to ship it before it was finished.ExileNZ said:Honestly, they already did that with Legends. Okay, so they retconned Anniversary to fit in better with it, but SHE'S ALREADY HAD AN IMAGE CHANGE.
More importantly, Legends got rid of the clunky old control system and turned it into something practical and, God forbid, actually fun to play.
Not sure what the hell went wrong with Underworld, I still haven't played it yet.
Lara was never the problem she was the only thing keeping the series going, should have been obvious considering how basically no other videogame character has achieved the same place in the wider culture as she did, aside from Mario, certainly not Samus or Chun Limisterprickly said:I still remember when they changed her appearance to be more "correct".
It blew up in their faces; Especially with female fans.
It seems the larger portion of the female fan-base liked the way she looked and some REALLY liked they she looked! (0)(0)
I say... If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I agree completely. That's just not Lara. It might be Laura Croft, but it certainly isn't Lara.Actual said:Might be too strong a reaction; but that's not Lara Croft.
Lara is smooth, calm, cool, collected. Always well presented and in control. It looks like they're leaning towards a much grimmer down and dirty action hero which just doesn't fit her previous image.
Why not call it something else if they're making a different game and don't try and cash in on our memories of Tomb Raider?
I do love Lara, but AoD was shite imho.Macgyvercas said:I love Tomb Raider (and yes, I was one of the few people who enjoyed Angel of Darkness).
Yea, it looks like she might actually be capable of making a comeback (I think her new look is MORE attractive than before, cuz I'm just sick like that.)Piction Froject said:ciortas1 said:Looks kinda like Jessica Alba.Kinda looks like badass I'd say!!! GO Lara kick some ass Girl. Lets bring back some T-Rexs from the first game they were so fulfilling to kill!!!Skullkid4187 said:Looks kinda like Mariska Hargitay.
Pretty? PRETTY?!theriddlen said:Aww, how could anyone destroy her pretty face?
This Lara is an untested 21 year old girl fresh from college. From a moneyed background. Who hasn't had to work a day in her life. The fact that they're having the character grow from a sniveling coward into the Croft I know and love is a major selling point for me, at least.Actual said:Might be too strong a reaction; but that's not Lara Croft.

Exactly! I think this one will explain how she got her ice cool demenour, athletic prowess and proficiency with firearms.Flying-Emu said:This Lara is an untested 21 year old girl fresh from college.
