So today, I drove my brother-in-law to and from his Lasik [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lasik] surgery. It went perfectly, he's resting now and just needs to wear sunglasses over the weekend and use some drops. After that, he will no longer need to wear glasses to see well.
I wear glasses myself, and have entertained the idea of having Lasik done. It would be awesome to not have to wear glasses again - they can often be inconvenient. At the same time, I wonder if the cost of the surgery (my bro-in-law's comes to about $4,000) and any risks would be worth it.
Have any of you guys had similar surgery done? Did it go well? Would you recommend it?
