So, being as into music as I am, I always find new music to listen to. The other night my roommie and I were playing video games and it was his turn to have the speakers (we alternate music). Much to my surprise, instead of listening to his usual metal, he put on this

I am now in love with Explosions in the Sky

I was curious as to what the Escapist is currently into, so perhaps post a video of the band, and their name and why you like it and all that.

Also sorry, hit post by accident so the initial post must look a bit funky.

Big K.R.I.T.

A find I'm actually excited about. Has only released mixtapes so far, but that last K.R.I.T. wuz here is pure gold, a lot better than many albums.

Mumford and Sons. ^_^
Discovered? Really? They were whored so much on the radio here I got sick of them and took them off my iPod.
I don't listen to the radio, nor do I really use my IPOD (which was a gift).
I just like the three songs I've heard and haven't delved any deeper into their music.

Probably Alestorm. It's been awhile since I've discovered anything new.
Ah yeah, that's why I thought it was interesting that I discovered something new so recently. I can't remember the last specific thing I discovered before EITS, last school year I was introduced to Iron & Wine, Elliot Smith, Daft Punk's Alive 2007 and a few other things, but this is the first thing that I've really discovered since then. Strange, maybe it's only me, but I feel like I get mired in the same songs over and over again for ages at a time.

Since Mumford and Sons was already discussed (and debated), here is my choice: Grizzly Bear. Sure, I found this song on a friend's computer, but it was a good personal discovery.

Would have to be the Twilight Singers. Just heard them the other day... great song above, only half decent copy of the song on youtube, shame the vid is kinda depressing.

Sid Phillips and his band. After really getting into Fallout 3's GNR radio station, there was one song I really liked, it was called Boogie Man and it was by this band. Soon enough I bought the double disc album off Amazon.

Monster Movie, I think.
Kinda feel like a hipster listening to them, though. "Shoegazing dream pop" is not something a person should say without being slapped.
