Van Canto - Tribe of Force (Seriously go listen to these guys now, it's metal A Capella, :awesome:)
Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle Earth
Jonathan Coulton - Best. Concert. Ever.
Kamelot - Ghost Opera

There's more but those are the more recent ones.

Well, I happen to be listening to toxicity right now, so that answers that question pretty easily now.
SOAD's self titled album is their best altogether I reckon.

Other than that:

Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Rage Against the Machine - Battle of Los Angeles
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Paramore - Brand New Eyes
Placebo - Battle for the Sun
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight

Oh yeah, aaaaaaaand:

Of course Plastic Beach and Demon Days by the Gorillaz deserves a mention too.

Most recent? That would go to Big Blood - Dark Country Magic. It just came out two weeks ago.

The "Demon Days" album of Gorillaz. It's awesome.
Hell yeah man.
The last 3 tracks, 'Fire Coming Out Of A Monkey's Head', 'Don't Get Lost in Heaven' and 'Demon Days' are possibly the best end to any album ever.

I'm actually really disappointed that no-one has mentioned Counting Crows.

I got their first album six months ago and I can't find a bad lyric, riff or solo on it, never mind a whole track.

The Killers - Sam's Town.

While far from my favourite album it was definitely the last one that I could sit and listen to without skipping a track or two.

That would be Unkle - War Stories, well done sound engineering, great guest vocalists and plays out really well across the run of the entire album. The Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood commercial reminded me of it recently and it's languished on repeat in my car for a few weeks now.
