Portal 2. I loved it. It kept what made Portal so great - the physics, humor, and atmosphere - and expanded upon it. A solid sequel. I plan on doing co-op with a friend.

The last game I played was Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters with a friend.

I actually found it really good, in that brainless "Let's murder everything in the screen!" kind of way. The upgrades get especially bullshitty at the end when you get a mech suit and stomp out as many as 5 enemies at a time, but it takes forever to get there. Fun with friend, dull single player.

Dead Rising 2. An example of how to make a sequal proper.
Loved it. Still playing it to get the remainind achievements, mainly Head Trauma which eludes me.

I just beat Chrono Trigger for the first time (please don't hit me).

Fucking loved it. I can't believe I didn't play this game before. I loved every minute of it.

Mass Effect.

The Mako was a pain, and the item management a tad ridiculous, but the characters and story are great! And... damn...creepy villain.

Second!
I only recently played and completed Portal, but was amazed at how funny and generally tricky it was. I figured Portal 2 would suffer from Bioshock 2 syndrome and be a cheap knock off of what once was.
Couldn't be more wrong, From the very opening with the storage crate hotel room, to meeting GLaDOS again and the new fantastic Wheatley (almost every line is comedy gold) it just continued to amaze me with the writing and variety. Slowed down a bit in the middle, but came to one hell of an ending! Yay Valve!

Catherine is excellent. While it does present some control issues with respect to the gameplay (i.e. "Vincent, grab the fucking block!!!"), it never becomes too difficult to complete a level once you've solved the puzzles implicit in its construction. (I also experienced some lag when bosses were attacking or the screen was otherwise more "busy" than usual, but a friend tells me that he did not experience this issue.) Besides, I can forgive it everything for having a classical soundtrack by Shoji Meguro :>

Edit: Rapunzel, the game within the game, is also really fun and does not present the control issues previously mentioned. Unfortunately (fortunately?), I have yet to finish it as it is considerably more difficult because it forces one to make use of techniques that one might otherwise ignore or not need to make use of in the main game, depending on the level of difficulty selected.

I last beat Radiant Historia. It was pretty good, I'd say. The story and characters are interesting, the soundtrack is great and the battle system is fun. I would definitely recommend it. I must say, I loved the concept of going back and forth between two alternate timelines, picking up items and techniques in one that are required to progress in the other, and the ability to travel back to almost any point in the story means that nothing's ever really gone forever.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - I really enjoyed the game up until Sequence 7 or 8, at which point it just felt as though the game began plowing through the story, completely ridding itself of any sense of pacing and frantically trying to wrap up everything. It just seemed to jump all over the place, and it made the final confrontation with the game's main villain considerably anti-climactic. As for the ending, well, it was sort of like Assassin's Creed II's ending, but with an additional twist.

However, on the whole, I thought it was a great addition to the series - the same fluid, enjoyable gameplay of the other two games, coupled together with some interesting new mechanics and a crap load of missions and side quests to complete. Definitely worth the time of those who enjoyed the other games.

The last game I beat was L.A. Noire. It started off swimmingly, but really fell off after the Homicide Desk (about halfway through the overall game). As a result, the game ended up falling short and just generally disappointing me. Somewhere around the 18-hour mark the only thing that stopped me from giving up on the game was the fact that I was more than halfway done, and didn't want to leave it unfinished after putting in so much time.

6.5/10

The thing about that game that left a bad taste in my mouth was
you didn't get to play as Cole for the final part of the game. What the fuck? I dumped how many hours into this game only to play as a character I don't give two shits about?! The ending still could have been the same while playing as Cole.
I could go on and on about what they could have done to improve the game, but that was my main gripe about the game without fantasizing what could have been added. Oddly, overall, I really enjoyed it.

Crysis 2 was the last one I finished, yet again a great engine and a near non existent game, they really need to ship this engine out to someone who got some game ideas.

I finished tomb raider underworld last. It was decent.
The combat felt pretty pointless, why release bats on you one by one? They are no threat. There is no pit in them being there. Sometimes you could interact with objects or slabs of rock and other times she would just jump up and down like an idiot and refuse to grab it. A couple of times I bounced of invisible barriers in the middle of levels which should not be happening in a game like this. The camera was bad but manageable and here were glitches and clipping issue everywhere. Occasionally Lara jumped in the opposite direction than what I told her too for no apparent reason. I haven?t given a shit about the plot in TR in ages tho I did feel kind of sorry for her mom. The levels were big and quite pretty. There was lots of collectables to find.

Dragon Age II. I had to basically ignore the gameplay component entirely, and skip through the recurring dungeons as fast as possible, but the characters and narrative really grew on me. I think it's good in what it adds to the series, and the situation it sets up for the future, but the actual gameplay and combat aspect is best skipped through, or else it becomes tedious, repetitive and painful to play.

I played on casual difficulty, not because the game was hard on the highest difficulty, but because it was fucking boring and tiresome and felt like it was deliberately wasting my time. All I wanted to do was open up new missions and unlock more dialogue, give Hawke more witty remarks, and hear what my companions would say next. In fact, I liked the companions and all the different dialogue possibilities that were available that I played it all the way through twice just to see what would happen if I brought different companions along. Sometimes I was rewarded with moments of utter brilliance that I never would have seen otherwise.

So, in short:

Gameplay: 4/10
Story: 7/10
Writing and Characters: 8/10
Graphics: 3/10

Overall: 5.5/10

[PROTOTYPE] Great game loved it.
The game gives you the god like sense that there is nothing the enemies can do to stop you, this in a game I love. I strongly recommend purchasing/renting it. Cost me $30 CDN (I think, may have been $25).

The only issue I had with it was that in cutscenes the graphics on the characters were atrocious and just no fun to look at because of this I found the story line difficult to follow because I skipped cutscenes (it's that bad).

For those of you who like numbers slapped onto games I think this deserves an 8

If you got $30 to spare I suggest you run your arse to EB Games, Gamestop, GAME. etc. and buy this great game :)

I beat Mass Effect 2(again) and then beat The Arrival. ME 2 was amazing as always while the Arrival was pretty weak over all. Thankfully it was half off.

Lost Planet 2, I found the combat fun after i changed the crappy default controls around some, HUGE bosses, just wish the story made me give a crap, and the last boss was a let down.
