So I just finished dinner and it made me want to make a thread!

Anyway, what is the laziest food concoction that you have ever come up with? Any day you were just kinda feeling blah, or straight up didn't want to prepare a lot but didn't want to order in either? Doesn't have to be cheap, and tv dinners don't count!

My examples were:

Tonight I made a simple "stir fry". Microwaved some boneless chicken breast, then cut it into an instant ramen bowl (Mr. Noodles where I am) that I had drained of all liquid. Then I added some garlic pepper and soy sauce. Simple, easy "stir fry", 20 mins in the microwave total and it still tasted, well, edible (I didn't say this had to be 5 star cuisine you know!)

Another example is a box of Kraft Dinner Macaroni and Cheese with some cut up hot dogs. You know, creations like that, almost no effort, little time, but still at least fairly edible.

So c'mon Escapists! Give me some more quick and easy food recipes for later!

Buy bread. Eat bread.

Pretty hard to get more lazy than that.

Cheese on a bun. All you need is a bun, and some cheese.

If you don't have one or the other, that's okay, too. Either item works well alone. ;)

Stagg Chili, soft tortillas, shredded cheese and sour cream. Lazy person burritos.

Salada biscuits, vegemite and cheese is also a pretty lazy meal :)

Simple quick and tasty:

Slice tomatoes, slice Mozzarella chesse, add balsamic vinegar and olive oil (+fresh basil if you like) enjoy great meal

slightly more work:

Aglio e Olio (Garlic and oil):
cook pasta (spaghetti preferred) in salted water w/o oil, while it cooks put olive oil and chopped garlic (add chilli flakes and/or parsley to taste) into a hot pan until the garlic turns lightly brown (should be quick) turn off stove, add pasta and a bit of the pasta water to the pan, add some butter for tasty goodness, salt & pepper to taste (all in a 10 minute meal if your stove heats quickly)

lazy Bolognese:

put some chopped onion and garlic in a pan with some cooking oil, fry until the onions are slightly glassy, add minced meat and fry until its done, add some pureed tomatoes (but dont make the whole thing too soggy), season to taste. tastes great with pasta, bread, tacos or
pancakes.

Living alone really makes your cooking lazy, i could go on for a while here ^^

I have the perfect recipe for the laziest casserole! First, make sauce. Sauce must have some form of meat in it. Then, boil noodles. Mix it all together. Throw it in a pan, throw some cheese on top of that, then shove that sucker in the oven for like 20 minutes. Bam, easiest casserole ever. :D

Peas out of a tin.

You get a tin of peas and then you eat them with a spoon.

Piss easy pork chops.

Heat over to 200c. In roasting dish, add salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary. Place pork chops on top. Add same ingredients again on top and drizzle with oil. Roast for 15 to 20 minutes.

These things are so easy, and taste bloody awesome too. This is probably the easiest recipe I cook. I like to put a little more effort into food than your average bachelor. Like Robert Rodriguez said... Not knowing how to cook is like not knowing how to fuck.

It's not the most "lazy" meal, but it is certainly the most "college kid meal" imaginable:

I present to you, the Ramen Omelet, the Ramelet (right click -> view image to see full size):

Absolutely delicious, and ridiculously easy to make.

Alternate link in case the first is wonk:

Not from me but from some one i work with.

Beer. that is all.
With some Vitamin B-12 supplements, man actually can live off of beer alone (it's liquid bread, which ironically cannot be lived off of by itself).

As for my recipe...

Step 1: Open a jar of Nutella

Step 2: Eat contents with a spoon

Eggs, skillet, heat to bottom of skillet.

Alternatively: eggs, coffee cup, microwave.

I tend to prepare more complicated things around those two methods, but they do form the basis for protein in a lot of dishes.

I like cooking two minute noodles with bits of chicken breast in it. Drain the water, mix in cream cheese.
Its surprisingly nice.

Kidney bean salad. Take a packet of kidney beans, add 2 fresh tomatoes cut into chunks, and stick some crumbled feta cheese on top. Sprinkle salt and lemon juice on it. If you're feeling ambitious, add fresh spinach or snow peas. I eat this all the time because I'm a lazy bastard.
