On the topic of age and legality, could this not also lead to problems for the the pay site he was viewing? since they were streaming porn to a minor.
Depends on where he was.
As I pointed out in response to Stephano's comments in other threads, legality is entirely subjective when dealing with age of consent/porn. I didn't look up where "Slooshi" is from but if he was playing from his own home (going by the livestream) and was in France or whatever it would
be fine.
As I've said in other threads (much to people's ire) I think 18+ sexual consent should be a global rule, and is probably worth fighting for. The UN doesn't have the guts to even try something like that though. As things stand now though in the EU alone the age of consent falls as low as 13 (in Spain) so basically if some Spanish dude sits there and talks about how he goes home and bangs a 13 year old he's technically not committing a crime. In France where Stephano was from the age of consent is 15, meaning the girl he claimed to have sex with WAS a year too young, but at the same time from my reading consent laws in the EU are touchy due to the differances, and whether what he did was illegal would depend on where it happened and probably how good his lawyer was. It's right on the edge, at least legally speaking.
The point here being that barring some kind of universally enforced proclaimation about age of consent, and sexual behavior, this is going to probably be a touchy subject with E-sports given that they tend to involve the young, and an international crowd. In some cultures public or semi-public masterbation isn't even that big a taboo. How do I know this? Easy, when I worked casino security we had a recurring problem with immigrant workers and those from international work exchange programs spanking off into the sinks, viewing it as "just something you do in the bathroom to get it out of your system" or so they claimed. One of the more annoying situations I had to intervene in and explain as security, not that I entirely believe the stories of course.
In short, while we're laughing at this now, and people have been good sports for the most part, as E-sports takes off, and the money gets bigger, I won't be surprised if there are some law suits. If Stefano was from Spain he probably could have sued Evil Geniuses for benching him (and costing him money). Wait until the day we see millions on the line (and I suspect it will come).
