Hey Donkey, Rachel looks much more fight-able than Zom-Tom. Prepare to DIE.

Oliver and Gaz (riding a new hoverdisc provided by the Rat Pack) patrolling when out of seemingly nowhere a building collapsed.

"What tha' hell was that?!" Gaz shouted.

"I don't know." Oliver said. "Maybe it was T--" Before he could even say a word, another building, much closer this time, collapsed into dust. Gaz grabbed Oliver and yanked him far away as dust billowed up into the air. He pointed at a figure in the sky. "There!" He shouted. "That's the one doing it; come on!"

Gaz flew into the air, pursued by Oliver, and sent a massive crackling of electricity at Rachel.

"Please!" She stopped the electricity in the air. "Just go home and I wont have to kill you!" She added, shooting the bolt back at the two. "On second thought, this might be fun." She started to crush the hover disk under the two's feet. "Want to go home yet?" She asked again. God, fucking heroes! Can you believe I was one? Two? You there?

"Jesus!" Gaz shouted. The disc carried him in a barrel roll, his own lightning shooting past him.

"Wait, Rachel?!" Oliver shouted. "What's wrong with you?"

"No time!" Gaz insisted. The disc seemed to resist attempts at being crushed, and carried him closer as he sent another lightning strike his way.

"Oh, nothing," Rachel said, deflecting the bolts away in a general direction. "Just Tom, you know, they guy who I gave a ring, tried to kill me. And he's pretty much already dead, so I'm not having that good a day." She added, flipping upside down in the air. God, check out the balls on this guy! He keeps throwing lightning at me, despite knowing that I can jsut send it back at him... Two? Come on, please answer? Please?

So she found Tom first... Oliver thought. "Hey Gaz cut it out! We can talk this out!"

"Fuck THAT!" Gaz shouted back. "We can talk when I'm dead!" His entire arms crackled with massive energy, a manic grin spread wide on his face. "Let's see you dodge this; I call it an Ur-Bolt!" He said, his voice shooting up an octave with sheer insane glee. He fired the lightning at full blast.

"Dodge?" Rachel caught most of the electricity, and the rest was reflected. "And your breadth can be arranged." She fired the remaining blast at the man shooting lightning at her. "And who would you be?" She asked, standing herself straight, putting her hands on her hips, and looking angrily at the man who wasn't attacking her.Come on, please talk? Please? You're the one friend I have right now. Please? Just say something.

What lightning was left struck Gaz head-on. His eyes shot open as he was knocked straight off the hoverboard and fell onto a nearby roof. Oliver was about to go and help, but Gaz threw up a single thumb to indicate that he was all right. Oliver turned back and heard Rachel's question.

"I'm Paragon." He said. "You used to work for an old rival of mine, Curtis?"

"Curtis, Curtis... Oh, yes, him." She bound Paragon's arms to his sides tightly. "Now, I was having fun. If you can now just let me be for a bit, we can both get on with our lives, got it?" She spun around to his back, putting him between her and the man shooting lightning. "And tell your friend over there that he can stop shooting me." She added, turning Paragon to face the man on the roof. "Tell him to stop attacking me or I turn you in to red mist and a stain on the concrete." Did I do something wrong? What, dd I say something? Please, answer me. I miss you already...

Oliver looked down at Gaz, who was standing up at last. "Ace, she says to knock it out." Oliver said, trying to persuade him. Gaz didn't listen. He stood up, and cracked his neck. He then stretched out his arms, electricity involuntarily crackling down them.

"Ace, what are you doing..." Oliver said, nervous. Gaz hopped up onto an antenna, shimmying up it until he stood at the top, now on even level with Oliver and Rachel. He extended a hand, as if he were about to shoot a bolt of lightning.

"Ace, what the hell are you doing?!" Oliver shouted, worry tinging his voice.

"Calm down Paragon." Gaz said. "You think I'd do something that stupid? That's what my contingency plans are for." He snapped his fingers.

Directly below Rachel, the hoverdisc that had been waiting erupted in energy, a surge of energy attempting to feed directly into her body.

Rachel tried to crush Paragon, but instead her grip failed and she started to fall. She caught herself mid flight, but only by pushing herself in to the wall of a building. She heard a loud snap, and slid herself down to the ground. She felt the elbow she used to lessen the blow. She could feel a large break in it. "You win, I can't fight anymore." She said, an element of pain in her voice. I'm begging you, just talk right now! Please?

Oliver fell to the ground abruptly, hitting it with a loud thud. Gaz climbed down a fire escape and joined him. The two walked over to Rachel and stood over her. Gaz made a tsk noise and scratched his chin.

"Broken arm, by the looks of it." He said. "Elbow, to be specific. Joint breaks are some pretty terrible stuff."

"How do you know so much medical stuff?" Oliver asked, a bit surprised.

"I'm a superhero, kid." He said. "Suffered through stuff like this more times than I can count. Thank God for the miracles of modern medicine, right? I bet the hospital's got plenty of stuff to get her fixed up, but first we need to get her there."

"Go look around." Oliver said. "See if you can find anything we can use to immobilize the arm."

Gaz nodded and ran off. Oliver sat down in front of Rachel and looked her in the eye. "There's something you're not telling us." He said.

"Get away from me." Rachel said, positioning her palm at Paragon. "I can't fight, mainly because I need both of my hands to fly, but I can still get you away from me in an instant. I can still walk." She tried to stand up, but the impact still had an effect on her legs. "Okay, maybe I can't walk, but I'm not telling you anything." Come on, it's not funny anymore! Please? Just... just say hello! Please? In her mind, she had a voice full of tears.

"Don't play games with me." Paragon said, unflinching. "You weren't like this the last time we met. And you definitely weren't unstable enough that a zombie would turn you into... well, this. What's really going on?"

Lost again, thought Dexter, sitting on a park bench. How did I not manage to follow them?
