Dan closed his eyes again,
"What's been happening? Last thing I remember...Rachel." He grinned, "Her ugly face..."

Oliver made an arcing move towards the ground with his own blade, sending his and Jason's sword arms above their heads. He attempted to punch Jason in the face, using his other arm to keep his sword out of the way.

Inside Gaz's own mind, he sat in a dark room. He was alone in a chair, a light dimly illuminating the room. On the other side of the room was a metal door, heavily secured to prevent escape. He questioned this, but before he could say anything it creaked open, a figure he recognized as Oliver walking in and shutting the door back to its sealed state.

He walked forward and sat down in a chair.

"That chair wasn't there a second ago." Gaz sad, perturbed by the spontaneous seat.

"Doesn't matter." Oliver said. "We're here for something else."

"Oh, enlighten me then." Gaz said, sarcastically enthused.

Jayne was caught entirely off-guard, the punches sending her stumbling forward. She caught herself against a wall, and looked back to see Fafnir standing there calmly. "No way." She muttered to herself. Sure of the threat her foe posed, she snapped her fingers. The ground under Fafnir morphed, turning into extremely loose, wet sand, catching his feet inside. She then sent a second volley of bullets, hoping that her foe would be less quick on his feet.

Fafnir raised his hand in front of his face. "Defence point". His muscles began to shift again, it took a shorter amount of time than the last one, so it was set up before the attack could reach him. Defence point was only form that helped defence, he could not move fast, if he could move at all, and could do nothing but really take the attacks.

He stood there as all of the bullets slammed into him, inflicting almost no damage against him. After the volley had stopped, he laughed again, "My turn. Power Point" his muscles began to contract and expand again, before growing to larger than before. Even with his feet in the sand, he sent one kick, destroying the entire floor. Sending a shock wave towards Jayne. Power point re-directed his energy, to have a trade off for speed and defence, to go to all of his Strength.

Jason dodged, narrowly... Olivers hand flew past Jason's face in what seemed like slow motion, while a spiked tail aimed a quick stab towards Oliver. The tail lashed forward so quickly, it was if the tail was teleporting from place to place, most of the jabs aimed for either Oliver's head or chest.

Jason's tail punctured Oliver's suit in the chest, drawing a bit of blood. Oliver grinned; this was one of his contingency plans in actions. A whirring motion sounded as the suit's auto-defense activated. With lightning speed, the suit's programming guided Oliver's body, deflecting the attacks from his foe's tail with ease. At the same time, Oliver flicked his wrist, attempting to use his sword to slice off Jason's own sword hand.

"You've always been kind of a dick." Dream-Oliver said, shaking his head in mock pity.

"And you've always been a colossal dick, from what the stories tell." Gaz replied deadpan. Dream-Oliver made no emotional reply, but instead attacked with logic.

"You demonstrate the behavior right here. You hide behind your own insecurities with humor and insults to others. Why? You're a good person, Gaz, and you have the chance to protect people that most people don't. Why are you so hostile about it?"

"Hey, you don't know a damn thing about me." Gaz said, leaning forward in his chair.

"Of course I do." Dream-Oliver said. "After all, how can something you say be false?" In an odd split-second moment, Oliver was gone, replaced by, of all people, Gaz himself. The original Gaz gawked at this new arrival, and attempted to move to see if he would mirror his actions. Dream Gaz was having none of it, though.

"You could be a paragon;" Dream Gaz said. "the pinnacle of heroism."

"Hey, I've seen what being Paragon is like, and to be frank it seems like kind of a raw deal." Gaz replied.

"Did you forget who you're talking to?" Dream Gaz said. "If you're gonna try to be an idiot, you've met your match."

"Bring it on," Gaz said. "I've been looking for a challenge."

Jayne panicked and brought up a stone wall, which absorbed most of the impact but still shattered like glass in her face. The impact threw her through the wall into a lounge of sorts. Before Fafnir entered, she decided to prepare accordingly. A mouth of earth swallowed her up, holding her in for a few seconds before releasing her. She was fully covered in a stone armor, made light through her own manipulation. However, she was not alone. On either side flanked a similarly-garbed clone made of stone. It would require all of her concentration, but she believed that she could use simultaneous spells to make it appear as if all three were the real her.

All she had to do was wait for Fafnir to chase her, before she could test her theory.

Angarika stalked through the shadows near the house she motioned for Rachel or was it Roxanne to stop.
"I'll move in and check if the coast is clear."
She hunched over and ran towards the next shadow.

All Karen see's is the body of a fully armoured soldier with a hole ripped in his armour surrounded by a pool of blood. A bird cocks its head at karen and opens it's mouth. "Come on inside!" It yelled before disappearing

Jason drew his tail back, disappearing as if by transportation. This was Jason's full speed, and he appeared immediately about 15 feet away from Oliver. Jason raised his sword arm, looking at a rather large cut on the center of his arm. Blood ran down his arm, but Jason seemed unfazed by this as his dark armor covered up the wound and the rest of his body, all except for his face.

"You nearly took my arm off on that attack... Let's end this, prepare yourself Oliver." Jason said, sheathing his sword and raising his right arm. A black orb seemed to darken the area surrounding Jason, and sparks of red flickered off the orb. Jason didn't unleash its power yet, and preferred to wait for Oliver to use his most powerful attack as well.

"Hold on. Can you give me a pistol? I just want to make sure I have a fast way to take out Garret if my sword and telekinesis fails." Rachel said, stacking up on the door like she had seen in god knows how many movies. I hope whatever Roxanne has planned works. And I hope her vaporizing didn't destroy my bostaff.

Oliver dissipated his sword as his suit's programming finally shut off. He dug his feet into the ground in a wide-legged stance. He extended his right arm, his left arm bracing it. An extreme concentration of energy particles surrounded his hand, a smaller amount around the rest of his body. His hand's energy finally solidified into a massive ball of plasma, ready to fire.

Do it. Oliver thought in his mind. Do it and I can end this.

Looks like I'm supposed to make the first move... Jason thought, "Dark Supernova..."

The darkness growing larger and larger until it finally burst forth in an enormous ray of flames. The flames created a gaping hole in anything it touched, and the were aimed straight for Oliver.

As the flames drew near, Oliver's precautions took action. The particles around him flung him high into the air, where he had a perfect shot at Jason. He let the energy loose in a massive burst, flinging him down to another part of the field as the blast hurtled towards Jason.

Dan didn't open his eyes.
"Yeah we can talk."
He smiled,
"Yeah, my mother is a drug addict. Obviously, we were poor when I was a child, so she took to a life of crime to get her money. My dad died..."
Or maybe...no...that's impossible...

Fafnir shrunk himself back to his regular state. Still in his Dragon form though, just balanced, all of his muscles were normal, so he had regular attack, defence and speed. His wings spread out and he floated gently back onto the remaining floor. He laughed as he looked at the destruction he had just caused. "I forget how powerful that mode is" he said to himself as he started to walk down the broken hallway.

He turned around the corner to find 3 large bodies of rock. He looked slowly at each of them. Before shrugging, and starting an attack. He performed an attack that if hit would injure all three golems. He started with the one in the middle, trying to fly kick the thing in the face. He also prepared a fire ball in each hand, which he threw towards the face of the other two rock statues.

Fafnir's kick hit the center Jayne in the head, snapping her head backwards as she was tossed into the wall. She slid to the ground, her head still intact, though the helmet was shattered. She stood back up and made a skip of sorts, sending a wave of spikes with her that shot towards Fafnir.

The other two simultaneously brought up pillars of rock, stopping the fireballs at the cost of their structural integrity. The clones then used their pillars to shoot volleys of bullets at Fafnir.

--------

Gaz sat staring at his clone. Their witty banter had gone on far too long for his tastes. "You ever gonna say something to get my attention, or are you just going to go back to the 'you could be a better hero' speech?"

"No, I'm done." Dream Gaz replied. "But maybe someone else can get through to you." In a transformation decidedly more gruesome than Oliver's, Dream Gaz twisted and morphed, shrinking himself down. He became a teenager; a young one at that. His dusty blond hair framed his bright face. But it was different; his brown eyes were pale, gray. There was a bit of a listless look to him. Gaz's face froze in horror as a flood of memories he'd worked to repress came back.

"Sparky?"
