Gaz limped into the room to find Jayne rising out of the ground, her last remaining golem disintegrating into dust. "Darn." She said, disappointed. "I was really hoping he wouldn't run off. I could have killed him with a sneak attack."
Gaz realized that he hadn't even been out long enough for her to realize he was hurt. He smiled, knowing he hadn't failed entirely. "Come on." He said, as he trudged out of the room. "If we hurry we can catch Amaranth and that dragon."
The pair left the mansion entirely, to find Oliver staring agape as Fafnir and Amaranth made off with Jason's body. He was about to fly after them, but Gaz called out his name to grab his attention. He rushed over to them and looked at the pair in surprise. "What happened?" Was all he could muster to describe his shock.
"Tougher than we expected." Gaz explained. "Oh, and the dragon. Didn't expect the dragon either. Either way, we need a course of action."
"Follow them." Oliver said. "There's no way I'm letting them escape, especially with Jason's body. Anything you can do, Jayne?"
"I think so." She said. She sat on the ground and shut her eyes, focusing as the ground shifted, picking them up on a large disc. However, a voice called out and stopped them. "'Ey, don't tell me youse guys were gonna leave me here?"
The group was amazed to see a very beaten up Buck pull himself up off of the cliff face after an intense climb. He picked himself back up and ran over to the disc, throwing himself on it and pointing at a helicopter tiredly. "They're on that one." He said before passing out.
Jayne nodded and flew the disc up into the air, bringing it close but below the helicopter as Oliver scoped out the situation.
