Dan grinned and sweeped Dan up in his arms.
"Hold on. This is going to be dangerous." He warned.
He put one hand on a pipe, just beside his window and quickly pushed himself from the window ledge and onto the roof. He turned and jumped onto the building next door. He continued this way, until he was beside the chopper.
"Damn, i'm so good." He laughed. He wasn't joking though.
He twisted and jumped into the chopper, with a loud thump. He didn't put Jess down straight away. He looked down at her.
"Fun? How much did you fear for your life?"

Dan smiled, "Jess, you know i'll try to protect you, but don't think too highly of me. I don't have any powers any more remember. If I did, I could've just softened the fall, but not any more." The smile turned to more of a grin, "Now, do you want me to put you down?"

Dan winced slightly, "Jess, you make me sound useless. And to make it even worse, they won't need me, seeing as they have choppers, and you seem to think that i'm not capable of stealing things...I might as well just go back and crawl into bed and put myself to sleep." He gave Oliver a strange look. A cross between heplessness and confidents, "I guess i'm no use to you..."

I don't think he buys it, but it's better than having to fight him. Rachel thought, following the man in the odd costume. I wonder why he hasn't brought up that I am covered in blood. And smell of death. And came out of nowhere after the military leveled the place Maybe he's just used to it or something. She looked around for anything in the sky, but only saw a few helicopters, most likely flying away with prisoners, who were probably going to be executed. Shame. I might have had someone willing to die to help me find Jason on those.

Freemont turned off the lights and locked the door as he walked after Indrakshi. "You wanted to 'Talk'?" Freemont asked her "You know you have known me one day and you claim to 'Love me'"

Indrakshi turned away from him "I know it sounds silly but I honestly believe in love at first sight." She gave him a sad smile "I know you probably don't like me... but I want to learn more about you. I want to be by your side." Tears began to fall. "Look at me. I'm pathetic." She gave a slow unhappy laugh.

Freemont was rather taken aback by the comment. "I- err, sorta like you too" Freemont said sincerely as he put his arm around her to comfort her. "Garret is going to give me so much shit about this" He whispered to himself.

Indrakshi snuggled up in the crook of his arm. "I'll protect you if it comes to that. I'm...sorry about the harassing before. I just didn't know how to approach you." She blushed.

"Protect... No, Garret was my room mate back when we were in college!" Freemont said as he hugged her closely "You weren't the only one that was overwhelmed"

Indrakshi smiled happily. "Hey, Honey. What's your first name?" She knew she was blushing so she tucked her head into his chest, embarrassed.

"Douglas" Freemont said as he kissed Idrakshi on the top of her head.

Douglas smiled at Indrakshi but his smile was shattered as an alarm sounded three times and stopped. "Odd, Garret has summoned a patrol" Douglas said as he ran towards a ladder with Indrakshi in tow. Douglas pulled himself up it and looked at garret. "What is going on?" He asked.

"Douglas, It would seem that the military has found another powered individual, we need to go get him" Garret said simply as he ran down a flight of stairs towards the sound of gunfire with a squad of Men behind him.

Indrakshi looked at him "Douglas... any idea on what the individual has?" She snagged a shotgun from the wall. "Hopefully I'll be of some use"
