Rachel hesitated a second before answering. "No, I just meant I hoped you were dead. And what do you mean? you saw that he tried to destroy the city? I think that almost everyone else did, too." She said. Wait, how am I even still alive? I mean, if I wa shit that much sedative I should be dead.

"You almost killed him, he was at the end of your sword, dying, but you let him go" Garret said. "You could have ended this all, but you didn't, why?"

Shadow nodded. "That's the gist of it. Well... technically not free of charge but it is for you."

"Why, are you some kind of gift?" Garret said "Is this some kind of human trafficking business?"

Rachel thought for a moment. "Because killing Jason wouldn't have done anything. He was dying in front of me, something I had thought I would love to see, but I didn't. He was so weak it would be like a mouse starve. I wouldn't have made me feel any better, just like I had murdered someone." She tried to move her arm, but it was still useless. Why did I let him leave? I was still in a rage at that point, and I knew that he would do something to hurt things worse.

"No! It's just that the population is too high and so the government is offering benefits for families that leave and our family was chosen. I can assure you that there is nothing sinister or anything like that going on."

"Good" Garret said "So you are just here because of over population? They just gave away someone with such amazing talents?"

Garret turned to Rachel. "Once I kill oliver I will kill Jason and you will help me Rachel"

"Or what? You'll kill me? If you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly against that." Rachel said, a bit of movement returning to her neck. "And, even if you did force me to help, I can just turn on you mid battle. I'm not killing Jason, he's not a worthy opponent and he is truly sorry for his past experiences with me. You, on the other hand, are not."

 

[Moderationintime]

"Yes and him being sorry for you caused you to not kill him, resulting in the death of more people, also you are on so much serum right now that killing you would be easy, once again if you want to die I will kill you, one less person to deal with" Garret said calmly "I will not apologize for what I have done because I do not regret it"

"I didn't say that I wanted to die, just that I'm know that you will kill me if I don't work with you, which I won't." Rachel said. the stiffness in her neck returning. "And I only care a little that he killed people. Oh, and, before I forget, Roxanne, Kor's precious little masturbation-aid, yeah, if I get out of here, I just have to lie to her once and I can gut her like a fish. Just keep that in mind, either kill me and loose a valuable asset in a coming battle, or let me go and have Kor get all emo on you. I'm sure you'll be sorry after that."

"Or I can put you under, get the scientists to mess with your brain, grow it back with the help of Kor and make you a brainless servant loyal to me" Garret said "I could have killed you but I didn't because you still have a mission to finish, you still want to kill Jason"

"I don't, actually. I realize that, if that weakling could bring Tom down, than it's better that way. In fact, I'm starting to wonder why I even fell for Tom in the first place. Besides, I've had so many voices in my head messing with it would no doubt bring more than a few up. Remember that old one I had? That *****? Yeah, she's gone now. All me in here now. Imagine having her back out and pissed as hell." Rachel said, hoping to deter Garret.

"I don't think you understand, There would be no voices, It would be like restarting before you met tom, I would feed you bullshit you would work for me" Garret said. "If you really don't like tom, I want you to watch me take the sword confiscated from you and burn it in a pit"

"Sorry, but that is a good sword. Unless you can give me a better one, I'm getting that back. I do have an incomplete suit of armor you can born, though. Half of it is my dad's and the other half is Tom's. I couldn't quite get it to work, so go ahead and burn it." Rachel said. "And Garret, know that I will take every chance I get to try and escape. And also know you will face the law as soon as I get out." She moved her head to look straight up.

Dan woke up too.
"Breakfast now!" He made his way out of the room.

They made their way to the cafeteria and got breakfast.

David shrugged. He would have said the same, but he didn't for two reasons. He didn't want Roxanne to think that he was being mean to her, because he was jealouse and he had a mouth full of food. he finished and looed at the two.
