Jason managed to push himself away from Amaranth using his tail as a launcher, but not before the orb hit him. It didn't go all the way in, but it went in far enough to cause serious damage. He screamed in pain and fell to the ground, the skin on the left side of his body already freezing and a large part of his side was nothing but muscle and raw skin.

He landed hard, and writhed in pain as his body began sewing his skin back together before it could place armor on it. His other wound was already partly healed, the skin covering it and beginning to work on his muscles and such in that region.

Amaranth was pushed away slightly by Jason, and was then slammed in the chest by Rachel, pushing him back down towards the building. The rain began to increase, and the thunder became more rapid.

He stood up again, holding his side. He raised his yet yet again, and it started to freeze some of the rain, causing sharp little hail stones falling from the sky. Some infused with thunder, some being as sharp as knives falling down on everyone, a fair amount being sucked back into the black hole.

Rachel made a small shield around her, but had to stop moving. "You're a resilient little bastard." She said, breathing more heavily than usual. Can't keep this shield up too long. Got too much crap in the air. She thought, looking down at Jason. I'm sorry, honey, I can't do anything to help. She looked back up at Amaranth, waiting for him to either attack her or go down to Jason.

Flames burst from the ground around Jason, wreathing him in a black inferno that melted everything within ten feet of it. In there, he would be able to heal and recuperate. His wounds were only half healed now, but that was better than raw skin.

His sword stuck up from the ground beside him, but he didn't pay attention to that. In fact, he was passing in and out of consciousness. Every now and then, his eyes would flash black, and his body would shudder as if he was having a seizure. The inferno around him seemed to speed up the healing process, but he wouldn't be ready to fight for quite some time now.

Oliver had no time to move. With a yelp, he squirmed away as his left arm was cut off at the shoulder. He rolled onto the ground, where he stayed for a few moments before rising. His eyes were filled to the brim with rage; with a scream of pain, an entire arm made of energy materialized where his flesh and blood arm had once been. The process cauterized the wound he had been given, smoke rising at the flesh was seared. He stood hunched over, panting for a moment as he wondered what to do. Quickly enough, however, he determined that he would continue the fight. He charged forward, and aimed a punch at Fafnir's face.

"Medics are done with the people, garret wants to see you, something about a chemical" Kor said as he held clare and sat down.

As Garret and his company approached, May held up her company as they came. "Let's see what they want." She said. She turned around and waited for them to arrive.

Garret peered as Roxanne walked up behind him."One moment" He said to her as he looked at may. "We accept your offer" Garret said simply as thousands of plans rushed his head at once.

"Good." May said. "I'd suggest you go get your wounded and your dead, then. Once Fafnir and his lackeys are driven out of the city, we'll be pulling out; I'm sure you've learned that the military shoots on sight; we'll be working behind the scenes on this operation."

In her mind, May was already working on various plans. Garret's criminal empire was hard to pass up. He and his son were, of course, going to need to be eliminated at some point in the future, but Gaz would help with that. And even if his manpower needed to be removed, the economic boost would be a boon in the new city. She then turned to see Roxanne, and a little annoyed responded.

"Hello, Roxanne. I see you've been sleeping with the enemy since you left. Literally."

"Sounds good" Garret said his voice dripping with venom, "I will start rolling out"

Garret turned towards Roxanne. "Finish up and come to my tent later" garret said as he disappeared from existence.

"Honestly?" May asked. Against her better instincts, she realized that this girl might actually still be clueless about how dangerous this life was for her. "I assume Clare's that daughter of yours, so I'm going to do you a favor: if you want to keep Clare safe, get away. Run away from this life, and never look back. A lot of good people didn't, and now they're dead."

"Clare, trust me. Garret brings nothing but trouble." May said, trying her best motherly voice. "There's been a war going on; only luck has kept his people and mine safe. At the very least, stay out of the city until it's over. You've seen what's capable of happening in this city, and it's only going to get worse for a while yet. And when we come back, sooner or later Garret's past--and Kor's--is going to come back to haunt them. They have a lot of enemies, and they're getting low on friends. "

"Well this is boring" Amranth said as no-one continued attacking. In truth, he was just as thankful for the rest. Since he realised all of the raining ice ad thunder was useless right now, he dispelled it, made it all gather up there, waiting one large attack.

He then just lay down on the ground for a while, breathing very heavily.

Fafnir stood dumbstruck. 'The man had created his own arm out of his own energy...' he thought as his jaw dropped. Before he could react, he was punched in the face. The punch was lucky, it hit one of his half clawed out scales, which caused it to dig into his skin, causing him to roar in pain.

He stumbled backwards, one hand holding his face, the other his weapon. A few blood lines trickled down his hand as he tried to adopt the most efficient stance for this fight.
