"What kind of idiot would build a mansion here?" Amirantha replied, walking out of the door and into the rocky mountain side, "This place has the highest percentage of Super Freaks like us." he continued talking.

"Oh, and you think I don't know the extent of his powers? Please, I have his powers" he said, his voice still calming.

Jason
Jason allowed the punch, the shockwave sending him smashing into a bus down below. He had armored himself for this however. Jason stood up from the wreckage of the bus, brushing off his cloak. He looked around and saw a bandaged up girl walking down the street.

"Hey, Miss... I would kindly ask you to leave here... I can't stand seeing woman get hurt." Jason said, walking backwards so he could keep an eye on Oliver.

Curtis
"I understand that you know his powers, but he still hasn't learned to control them completely, no matter how calm he seems in battle. Oh, be prepared to meet others at the mansion, knowing Jason he has already told some of his old allies that they can stay there." Curtis said, following the man out the door and up the mountain trail.

Oliver lowered himself back to the ground, keeping pace with Jason as he backed up. He didn't intend to attack in such a busy place, but he was ready in case Jason tried anything. Everyone in the immediate area was surrounded by a few particles, ready to shield them from an attack. Oliver began to wonder just how long he could keep this up. He'd been training himself for years, and he could still only fight at full strength for about half an hour.

Just as Karen turned the corner she heard a voice yelling "Hey, Miss... I would kindly ask you to leave here... I can't stand seeing woman get hurt" The thought was hysterical. Her laughs turned into a high-pitched cackle "Good sir. You need not worry about me. Ever." and with that she dropped her cello case which snapped open and she deftly snatched out an over-sized chainsaw. "I'm a proffessional."

"If you says so, but I'm still taking the fight away from here, this man hates harming humans." Jason said, wings bursting from his back as he takes flight into the air. When he is about forty feet in the air, he stops and waits for Oliver to rise back up again.

Oliver rose back into the air towards Jason, and began to think about what just happen. When it finally hit him what had occurred he spoke.

"What was that, Jason?" Oliver asked. "You talk about how worthless humans are, but then you act so courteously to a random woman on the street? It seems like even you can't justify your morals."

Amaranth laughed, "I hope that there aren't to much people there. Or there are at least a few people that want to give me there powers... Or I could take them, no matter"

As he walked, he kept trying to get his power to work, it still took a little bit of practise. He could turn him arm into a Dragon's for only a few seconds, before it went away, "I'll get it soon, don't worry" he smiled at Curtis.

Curtis led Amaranth through the forest, he pushed a tree out of his way hard enough to break the tree in half. It revealed the Mansions. Amaranth's eyes went wide, "That looks interesting..."

Karen leered at the guy called Jason. "Human...?" She could feel the hatred boiling up, she revved her chainsaw twice. Not enough to start it but enough to get the engine warmed up. "Don't you...EVER ASSOCIATE ME WITH THOSE FILTHY MONKEYS!" Her voice dropped a little "Or I'll murder you."

Jason
"Don't talk to me about morals Oliver. I just can't stand by and allow a woman to be harmed because of my actions. I don't care if she is a human, as nearly all humans are worthless, but it's as I said before, the select people with powers aren't fully human are they?" Jason said, stretching out his palm, a small fireball now growing inside.

He looked down to see the woman shouting up at him... he sighed, lowering himself back down as the fire disappeared. He landed beside the woman and reached into his cloak. He grabbed out a roll of hundreds and handed it to her.

"This isn't because I feel pity for you, but because I apologize for what I said. I realize you aren't human, you are better than a human in every way. Now, if you want to have dinner later, I would very much like that... but for now I am already occupied." Jason said, waiting for her response before he flew back up.

Curtis
The mansion was enormous, resting between two small hills. A narrow stone pass led up a winding trail to the mansion door, and balconies could be seen from the position they were in. Curtis walked up the pathway and into the front door. Inside, the door opened up to a large room, a rather large kitchen being separated from an even larger living room by a counter. The floor was made of treated wood, and was polished so it shined. A staircase on the left side of the nearby wall led to the upstairs rooms, and a glass door in the back led to an enormous room with a pool and a hot tub. The living room had a black leather couch and a plasma screen tv resting on the wall, with two end tables that had black lamps. Curtis motioned for Amaranth to make himself at home, while Curtis looked around the rest of the house.

He walked to the left, opening another door that led into what appeared to be a small indoor theater, with an enormous tv resting on the wall. Chairs were arranged so that many people could sit in the room at once, while a small rise was at the bottom of the slope. He continued through this room to the next, a large room with a pool table and other games. A bar sat in the corner with a butler standing there shaking up drinks. He waved to Curtis as he walked in, but Curtis didn't stay. Instead, he walked back to the main room, and back into the pool room.

He threw off his cloak, and put on a pair of white swim trunks that had been sitting on a chair waiting for him, along with a fluffy white towel. He began to swim laps across the pool.

Yes, that would be an awesome house to live in, only people who Jason has invited to live there can live there, and nobody else can find there way there. Everyone who is staying there, or was offered a chance to live there and told Jason they would, can design their rooms how they like, and can order the butler around, so long as they don't make him kill himself or other people.

That wasn't cryptic, not at all! You. Shut up. Now. Jesus, I didn't know you where going to be so touchy right now. Oh, it's nothing, I just met my FUCKING MISSING FIANCE! Do you think I would be really fucking stable right now? Fine, I'll be quiet. Rachel looked at Tom. "I know, that's why I tried to get out of the whole 'heroes versus villains' thing and just live a normal life." She kissed him. "I guess I didn't do very well." She let out a small laugh, and more of the good memories came back to her mind.

Oliver had trouble understanding how this had happened to his city. For three years he had kept it safe from horrible fates of all sorts, and as soon as his old friends re-appeared it all went to hell. He wondered for a moment if it was even him that had failed; maybe his former team members were just magnets for this sort of thing. Regardless, he had a show of a very parental contempt for Jason's actions.

"Jason, if you were evil I'd have killed you long ago. But you're not. That's why I want to know why you are what you are. You deny the facts in favor of your own, insane truth. Even if it means believing your friends would turn on you, and your psychotic brother isn't all that bad a guy. I don't think you understand this Jason, but your brother didn't save you. He kidnapped you. Dan already had you safe and recovering back at the Manor, well before he escaped the asylum and presumably took you away."

"Gah! Um.. Wha?! Ok." Karen brought up her hands to cover her cheeks(which were bright red). She quickly threw off her overcoat and placed it in the cello case with the chainsaw. She then proceeded to walk around town. Her shining prosthetics gleamed as she flexed her arm. "GOD DAMN IT! Why did I have to freeze up? Why?." She then curled up her fist and slammed it into a buildings wall. The wall easily broke revealing a couple in an embrace "Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it!"

"It doesn't matter how I was saved, when I woke up Curtis was the one who was there. You weren't, you left my corpse in the basement of your destroyed manor... that doesn't really show friendship does it?" Jason asked, rising back up to Oliver's height.

"I understand that my brother is insane, but he aids me when I need it. Which is more than I can say for any of you." Jason added, folding his arms and looking at Oliver with disbelief.

"I understand, what with the serum and all, I just... I don't want to get mixed up in all of this." Rachel shrugged towards the door. "Come on, let's get inside. It's kinda cold out here." She kissed him again. "Of course, if you want to go somewhere else, I'm fine with that, too." NOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT AGAIN! DAMN IT! I JUST STOP SEEING LAST TIME FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! PLEASE, FOR ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY, DON'T I meant to eat, stupid. Although, now that I think about it... I hate you so much right now.

Oliver was beginning to lose his temper, but he desperately tried to keep a hold of himself. He pushed a button on his visor, turning it a bright green.

"Jason, if you won't believe me, then I'm going to have to get a second opinion."

A light shot out from the visor, and formed a holographic image of Renegade himself. It seemed to be in real-time, and a little agitated.

"Oliver? What do you wa--Jason??" A very confused Renegade sputtered. "I thought you disappeared!"

"He's back." Oliver assured the hologram. "And right now I need you to tell him the story. The whole story."

Renegade scratched his beard and leaned back in a chair not visible in the hologram. He began to tell the story from right after the death of Gray.

"Well, right after Gray was killed Oliver told me to get everyone out of there; he passed out after that. So, I had to drag all of you kids and Curtis' team out the door myself. When we got out we ended up at the front steps of the Manor. Curtis' team went off their own way I guess."

He took a sip of a glass of water before continuing.

"I couldn't carry everyone, so I had Roxanne take Oliver back to her apartment to let him rest. I took Max--and you, Jason--up to the clinic for Scalpel. We hooked you both up to life support. I went with Scott to go grab a few packages of gauze, but when we got back you were gone Jason. Ripped right from the machine, a little bit of blood on the sheets was all we had to prove you were there to begin with."

He downed the rest of the water before turning to Oliver. "Why am I telling him this anyway? Shouldn't you have filled him in by now?"

"I never said I didn't believe you Oliver... I only said I can't stop what has already been set in motion... good to see you by the way Renegade. I have already made a pact with someone, and my deal cannot be broken." Jason said, his eyes clouding over for a moment before he spoke again, "What happened to Rose?"
