[HEADING=1]League Of Sidekicks: Future Perfect[/HEADING]
[sub]Yes, I know that is from timesplitters, shhh[/sub]

Soo... What's this all about?
The world is large in scope. Anything you can imagine, is probably here somewhere. One of the things that you can imagine, is superpowers. Due to many experiments, scientists have found a new human Genome, that has lay dormant since the dawn of time, known as the "Power X" Chromosome. This mutation gives super abilities to people, which have been either abused, used for good, or ignored.

The range of powers can be anything, from as simple as extreme loudness to as intricate as being a master puppeteer of people.

11 Years ago, a Serum was finally finished being created, there were two parts too it. One, gave powers to people, known as Substance P, but this drug also destroyed the mind. The slightly safer one, was Substance F, which did the exact opposite. Substance F takes powers away, and for the last 2 years, has been used by the Police and some Hero's to take down super villains, by either injecting it straight into them, eliminating the Power X all together, or just coating bullets and other weapons in it, temporarily stopping powers. Substance F has been commonly nick-named the Serum.

The world was in chaos, but is now in a fairly relaxed state. 7 years ago, a mad man who had the ability to steal others powers, took advantage of the weakness in people, corrupting them and making them do very bad things. He even abused time to his own advantages, summoning a century old Dragon man to try and destroy the world. His plans were stopped by a group of people called "Paragon n' pals", recently changed to "Renegades" in honour of a fallen comrade.

In the passing 7 years, the island that was destroyed in the process has been rebuilt in honour of everyone killed, and "renegades" went on doing their own business. Scientist however, have been working hard, trying to figure out how that dragon man finally came into this time. After years of studying, and a little but of interrogation from the captured mad man, they figured it out.

Time isn't a straight line, it turned out to be closer to a muddled mess of string. Time could go in any direction, but we would only travel one way across it. Unfortunately, being all mixed up, sometimes makes over lays, pieces of time mixing together for a brief period of time, creating portals over the planet, with some un-suspecting people to cross over, that is how the Dragon man crossed into our time.

[sub]I hope that makes sense... If not, as me to clarify a point...[/sub]

I see... So were do I come in?
As you may have guessed from the title, this isn't going to take place in the present. I am not going to say much else, if you really want to know, I may say the basic structure.

I will say that it revolves around time travel, that is as much as I will say now. (Yes I actually have it all planned out...)

If it's already started, how do I join?

Jason never lashes out in anger, and he rarely ever shows emotions to villains to whom he is trying to capture. The only person Jason is truly himself around is his wife Rachel, and his closest friends. Jason is always willing to lend a hand to those in need, but should anyone threaten Rachel's life Jason will show them no mercy. In battle, Jason is unmerciful, striking quickly and precisely.

Biography:
Pre-Arc
Jason was 15 when he first discovered his powers. They made themselves clear to him after Dragon, a now deceased hero burned his families manor to the ground, leaving only Jason alive, or so he thought. After Jason discovered his parents bodies, he became enraged, awakening the soul of a dragon that had long since made its home in the darkest recesses of Jason's soul. The dragon changed Jason forever, corrupting his mind and causing Jason's first transformation into a dragon. Jason destroyed the rest of his manor and then flew off, not knowing what he was doing as his mind couldn't control his body yet. Jason flew for a long time before ending up outside of an enormous cavern in the northernmost part of Greenland. Jason went into the cave for shelter, not knowing what was inside, but needing shelter until he knew what was going on.
Jason took refuge in the cave for a few months until he learned to control his new powers of creating flames. During Jason's time in the cave, a mysterious box appeared, and inside was a jet black sword that was made of the strangest material Jason had ever seen. The blade cut right through the solid stone walls of the cave, and it didn't even retain a scratch. The flames were completely black in color, and Jason took on faster then even he had imagined. Jason then made his way back to civilization, finding himself in a new city right before receiving a letter asking him to join a new organization of heroes.

Arc 1
Jason received his letter to join the group of heroes not long after he arrived in the city. Carrying with him a sword. Jason went to the meeting were he met many new allies and friends. Jason learned that his sister was alive, and one of his new allies was the man who had killed his family. In a blind rage, Jason swore to exact revenge on him, plotting revenge until a man named Mr. Gray arrived in the city. Mr. Gray told Jason that he could make him stronger and allow him to exact revenge on his families murderer and Jason eagerly agreed.
Jason worked with Oliver Langely who quickly came up with the name 'Paragon and Pals' for their hero team. During that time, Jason and his allies fought a sociopath named Garrett, Dr. Avian, and a flesh-eater named Stanley.
Jason was quickly talked out of killing the targets Mr. Gray had given him by an angel named Gabriel, who placed Jason back on the right path only to have Jason revert to his evil ways again. Gray threatened to kill Jason's sister if Jason didn't do exactly as he said, and Jason obviously said yes because he couldn't bear to lose his sister again. Jason left the city for four months, training to gain control over his Dragon form. Jason didn't achieve control, but he managed to designate a target for Darkfire(his dragon's soul) before letting him take over. Jason returned after his months of training and began hunting down those on Gray's list. Jason couldn't kill innocent people though, until he met a young shape-shifter named Kor. Kor convinced Jason that killing the men on Gray's list was the only way Jason could save his sister. Jason then attacked his ally Tom, crippling Tom's suit and burning Oliver's castle to the ground. Rachel and Tom chased after Jason as he began laying siege to the city, burning buildings to the ground and killing innocent people. Jason was finally stopped by Oliver and he fled, knowing that it would do no good to attack his former ally.
On the eve of the final battle against Gray, Jason left, heading over to the asylum and visiting a man known as Curtis Cole. Jason broke Curtis free after he answered a few of Jason's questions and Jason received a ring that would allow him to more easily communicate with Darkfire. Jason returned to the battle not a moment to soon, engaging in battle alongside Oliver and the others to stop Gray once and for all. Gray and his followers were eventually killed, but at a grievous cost. Jason was impaled on Gray's spear, and as they both fell the battle was all but concluded. Jason was left in the burning wreckage of a building, after Oliver's attempts to find him failed as Oliver had also been seriously injured in the battle.
Curtis found Jason and concluded that the only thing keeping Jason alive was Darkfire. Curtis then took Jason back to the cave were Jason had trained and unlocked a hidden cavern were the rest of those like Jason and Curtis lived and trained.

Post Arc 1: Jason was taken back to a secret organization of others who have powers similar to those of Jason and Curtis. The only people with dragon's souls inside of them were the highest ranking members of Jason's organization, which now included Curtis and Jason. Jason was rushed to their best healers, and the immediate threat to his life was eliminated. Jason began a long recovery that took four years, but he didn't sit idle, he also trained for those for four years, enhancing his power and amplifying it to levels he had never even dreamed of before.

Arc 2
Jason was in recovery for four years, using those years to not only recover from Gray's attack but honing his skills. Jason was unable to transform into a dragon, those powers had been locked away with his Dragon transformation. Jason returned to civilization along with his older brother Curtis Cole, and even though Curtis was older Jason still commanded them. Curtis even stated that 'Jason has powers that would amaze even you, his powers have increased ten-fold from when he was among us last time... he didn't spend four years laying in a bed'. It was true, Jason showed his strength and might, causing a nuclear explosion that tore apart the island and killed nearly three quarters of the people living there and turning everyone else into a mutant.
Jason then holed up inside of his manor on a nearby mountain, which Oliver and his Rat Pack quickly attacked. Jason had recently summoned an ancient ancestor of his, a dragon named Fafnir who quickly ended the siege on Jason's manor, but not without loses from both sides. Jason then had a change of heart, being seriously wounded by Rachel who was Tom's ex girlfriend. Rachel decided to spare his life, seeing the condition he was in after trying to bring down Oliver and his followers. Rachel and Jason drew very close after that, but Jason didn't stay for long. He returned to his home and brought back more allies that were intent on getting rid of Fafnir because he posed a threat to the entire world.
Jason and Rachel had been very close after that, but even then Jason couldn't stay with her. After quite a few more adventures, Jason was finally fighting side by side with Oliver again, going to fight Amaranth and Fafnir. Amaranth was a member of Jason's old team who gained too much power and became a threat to everyone. Jason, Lucifer and Renegade, an old friend of Jason's who had helped him out of many troubles four years before this fought Amaranth while Oliver took on Fafnir alone. Even with superior numbers, Jason and Lucifer were severely wounded, and Lucifer went missing shortly afterwords. The island was torn in half by Amaranth, who in a desperate attempt to fight all of the heroes at once, swallowed matter from a dark-hole and used that energy to tear the island in half.
While Fafnir was fighting Oliver, Jason finally managed to regain his lost ability to transform into a dragon. Rachel helped Jason while he fought off Amaranth alone, after Renegades death and Lucifer's disappearance. Jason transformed into his dragon form and took down a helicopter sent in by Garrett to try and aid Amaranth and Fafnir, and was injured slightly from a remote detonated knife set that Garrett planted on Darkfire's back after blinking from his copter onto Darkfire's back.
Darkfire began another transformation, with Jason's approval. They fused together, using Jason's body but Darkfire's power and speed. This new being became known as Nova due to the ultimate attack he uses to destroy everything in his path. Nova had the speed and strength one hundred times that of Jason and Darkfire's power alone. Nova, along with Oliver forced Amaranth to transform again, making him a being more powerful then either of them.
After another heated battle, Nova and Oliver emerged victorious, however both of them had become seriously injured. Jason had been struck in the stomach with a lightning bolt while Oliver had been injured likewise. Jason's final move was soon know as Dark Supernova, an attack that decimated hundreds of buildings and left a crater in the ground that was nearly one hundred feet wide. Jason, Oliver, and Amaranth were placed in a hospital for their injuries, and Amaranth was accused of causing the nuclear explosion and doing everything. Everyone followed along with the story, and Amaranth's powers were taken away as he was taken to a maximum security prison.
After Jason's recovery, he went out into the city to find his allies, Lucifer and Emily. Emily had mysteriously disappeared after getting Rachel to safety, and Lucifer had been frozen to death in the battle with Amaranth. Jason was given an award for his service to the city, and he and Rachel left the city just as the reconstruction of the city began. They got married soon afterward, and have lived in happiness since.

Post Arc 2:
Jason got married to Rachel not long after they left the island, and they moved out to a new city, leaving behind all the troubles of the island. When Rachel had all but given up on stopping crime, Jason still felt he needed atonement for what he did so he never stopped. During a particularly violent bank heist, Jason broke into the bank wearing his mask crafted from a meteorite that had fallen a few years back. Jason broke through the banks doors and was immediately shot with machine gun fire. Jason had put on his armor seconds before, so he wasn't harmed and he then proceeded to take down the villains one-by-one.

By the time the bank heist was over, Jason had racked up a body count of nearly thirty men, which earned him the nickname of Soul Reaver. Jason tried to resort to non-lethal means of capturing villains after that, but it almost never worked, no matter how hard he tried Darkfire's soul was always pushing him to be evil.

Other: Married to Rachel

Jason's attacks are much like this, except Nova's attacks are ten times stronger.

Nova can only use this attack once before he must revert to being Jason. He is also greatly weakened through the use of this attack, and once used Jason is pretty much useless. Jason has only used this technique five times, and all of them were used in defeating Amaranth.

______________

Name: Oliver Langley

Alias: Paragon

Gender: Male

Alingment: Neutral Good, tempered with a bit of cynicism through experience.

Age: 29

Previous Hero: Dan Rook, aka Renegade, took Oliver in when he just started out as a hero to make sure he was prepared for the duties involved in being a superhero. A very casual, relaxed person, Renegade's demeanor starkly contrasted with his powers which literally spawned from hell. After an adventure he refused to elaborate on, a deal was made with the demon lord Anovas, that granted him the ability to manipulate darkness however he wished, and summon legions of demons to assist him in combat. Renegade's good heart was infectious, slowly turning the demons themselves to the side of good over the course of many years.

Was a rich CEO, though he did little work himself and only associated with his company to use funds for philanthropic purposes, and to fund his vigilante career.

Powers: Wields what can only be described as a weaponized form of light; capable of spontaneously generating spears, swords, and other weapons made of a solidified golden energy. He is also capable of levitation through the use of this power as a sort of "shell" that carries him. He has learned to use his power as a field to negate teleportation abilities, and can now fire the energy as a pure bolt instead of converting it into a weapon.

He has worked harder on increasing his physical capability, and with the assistance of May has significantly increased his unarmed combat skills.

With the loss of his arm, he now uses energy to create a fully functional energy arm, which he is capable of manipulating to make any shape, usually a weapon of some sort.

With approximately 17 years of experience, his powers are at an extremely high level of refinement, and he has been working on using it for less extreme purposes, to serve more minute and detail-critical purposes.

Appearance: Above average height, about 6'3". Weighs 200 pounds. A stern, almost gaunt face with bright green eyes, a sharp nose and an elongated chin, sporting a goatee. Said face is now beginning to show a few signs of wear, particularly lines around his mouth and on his forehead. Has short-cropped brown hair. His body is athletically built, with the muscle only barely defined.

His costume is a gold and white armor, built to be reminiscent of the classic spandex uniforms of old. Over the course of over a decade the refinement of the armor has turned it into a glowing powerhouse, with a glowing golden energy core which is apparently used to store energy for use in combat.

Personality: After the Fafnir incident Oliver has tried to remain idealistic, but it has been hard. He prides himself in being able to forgive Jason for all that he had done, but he is deeply conflicted over whether he should have. This leads to a somewhat inconsistent outward demeanor. He tries his hardest to be kind and friendly to anyone that he can call a friend, but his attitude towards villains is harsh and ruthless.

Biography: WARNING: MASSIVE WALL OF TEXT INCOMING

Pre-Arc- At the age of 12 Oliver learned he could harness a golden energy into a wield-able weapon. With this in mind, he managed to stop several petty crimes around his city. This caught the attention of Dan Rook, or Renegade as most know him. Oliver's parents were well aware of his abilities, and feared him losing control of them. When approached with an offer to help the boy learn how to control his powers and fight corruption within the city, Mr. and Mrs. Langley were happy to oblige. He lived at home, slipping away when needed to solve whatever problem faced the city that day.

This went on for 5 years; during this time Renegade trained Oliver to harness his powers in their most powerful forms. They frequently fought small-time villains, and occasionally crossed paths with a gang called the Rat Pack, lead by a girl about Oliver's age named May. Though they fought more than once the Rat Pack proved cooperative, and provided vital information the pair wouldn't have received otherwise.

On an otherwise routine patrol, Renegade and Paragon were ambushed by a strange man in a blue cloak that could shape-shift his arms into various weapons. They fought him off, but during the battle Renegade was grievously injured, losing an arm. As Paragon was nearly killed Renegade threw himself at the man with an army of demons at his back. By the time the smoke cleared the mysterious man was gone, and Renegade's spine had been broken. Permanently paralyzed, Renegade encouraged Oliver to pursue a career as a hero, and suggested he build a team to help him along the way.

With this in mind, Oliver set out to create a team of former sidekicks, like him; boys and girls both young enough to see the good in the world, and strong enough to fight the evil in it.

Arc 1- Oliver first created the league to fight a small-time villain that had acquired dangerous technology. The team worked well, saving a bank-full of people that would have died otherwise. Oliver and Renegade took the team in at Castle Manor, a strangely-named mansion the size of a small city that Dan used as both his home and HQ. There the team made themselves at home, where Oliver subjected them to the Gauntlet, a simulation that forced them to live their worst fears. He has since identified this as his greatest failure, as it indirectly influenced members to make decisions leading to much of the major conflict.

Shortly afterword, the team arrived piecemeal to fight Dragon's team of villains. When Oliver arrived on the scene, he fought off a group of birds only to find Renegade apparently dead. He instantly identified Dragon as the leader of the villains and fought him head-on, outclassed at first. He used dirty tactics to even the odds, and all the while fought on a philosophical level as well as physical, debating Dragon as they fought.

Not long after that fight, Oliver began to track Dr. Avian, who had wreaked havoc across the city. To do this, he would need help. He went to May and the Rat Pack and secured their assistance in return for a favor that would be decided later. With this backup he led the League to distract Avian and rescue the mayor, while Dark Stanley was taken to a place to be held safely. This was a double failure, as the mayor was killed in the fighting while Stanley escaped from Curtis' team. Oliver intended to clone the mayor to make up for his failure, but at this time Gray and Gabriel, a demon and angel, arrived and influenced Jason to force Oliver to call off the plan. At this time, May revealed that the favor Oliver owed her was a date. Dumbfounded, Oliver reacted violently, but resigned to agree to the terms as he promised. While on the date, the two were assaulted by assassins, who were promptly disposed of. However, Oliver first learned of Mr. Gray presence here, and Jason's involvement. From that point on, he was determined to bring a stop to Mr. Gray.

While Jason was in the Rat Pack's clinic, they were attacked by a pair of superhumans with the power to negate powers. Oliver and May were beaten, and a message delivered to Jason. With his second in command beginning to change sides, Oliver focused harder than ever to defeat Gray and end the conflict.

Three months later, beyond a relationship with May he had made little progress of any sort. They managed to recover a human that was using Curtis' formula, and the two of them plus May made plans to find a solvent to it. However, Renegade had recently returned from Japan fully combat-capable and with a few ideas. Oliver convinced Renegade that it was time to use up the favor he was owed by Anovas, an extra-dimensional entity that had been forced into giving Renegade power over his demons. The two began to work as a team again, and contacted the Rat Pack to assist them. With their allies in tow Renegade and Paragon invaded Gray's realm, where alongside Rachel, Tom, and a reformed Jason they fought against Gray and a contract-binded Max, while Renegade took on The Devil himself, with assistance from Anovas. Oliver bested Max fairly easily, knocking him out with a golf club. The battle with Gray was more difficult, and quickly sapped Oliver of his remaining energy. He spent what was left of his strength protecting Jason from multiple killing blows; this ended up not being enough, as he was mortally wounded in the process of killing Gray. At this time, Renegade returned after killing the Devil and wiping out his entire demonic realm, and took the others through the door to receive medical attention. Oliver was taken back to Roxanne and Kor's apartment, where an extremely drunken May found him. The two left together, leaving Rox, Kor, and a reformed Stanley to ponder what to do next.

Post-Arc 1- Shortly afterward, Renegade had returned to full hero duties, due to a previous incident restoring the use of his legs, keeping the city safe well enough on his own. Around that time Oliver heard of another city on the other side of the state, where crime had begun to run rampant. He left for there almost immediately; May came along with the rest of the Rat Pack to set up a new base of operations.

Oliver and May have married during the time skip, and have a young son named Noah. Oliver has sent out a message to the remainder of the League, that if they wish they are welcome to join him at the new city, at their new HQ on a small island on the lake.

Arc 2- While attending a rally promoting the use of the Serum, Oliver ran across a man named Curtis, who rather than the villain from before claimed to be the brother of Jason, who had disappeared shortly after the battle with Mr. Gray. Oliver fought the villain, but was unable to defeat him. He was given an ultimatum, and informed that Jason would be arriving soon for revenge. Prepared for the worst, Oliver was forced to receive help by Gaz, aka The Blue Ace, an old partner of Renegade's. The pair, with the help of May's Rat Pack intended to stop a terrorist attack by Jason, Curtis, and an unknown accomplice known only as Amaranth at the time.

They failed spectacularly, as bombs set up throughout the city went off, killing all non-powered individuals and mutating them into abominations that swarmed and killed any living creatures. Only the quick thinking of the Rat Pack saved the day, as units all around the city made use of the power-giving Serum to grant superpowers to all civilians they could reach, including May herself. Shortly afterward Jason arrived on the scene, and Oliver engaged him in combat only to be severely wounded by the villain. Before a final blow could be struck on him or his enraged wife, his young son Noah revealed himself to have powers of his own. A psychic barrage forced Jason and his brother into a stalemate, causing them to back away long enough for the family to get to safety.

While recovering at the hospital, the new Rat Pack HQ, Oliver found himself at the head of an army of new superheroes, and a zombie apocalypse was beating down their door. Oliver trained the new heroes to take advantage of their power, and led a campaign against the zombies and the purge group sent in by the military. The experience gained there allowed them to launch a sneak attack upon Jason's mansion, the home base of the forces gathered by Amaranth. A chaotic battle ensued, while Gaz and the others engaged Amaranth and the time-traveling dragon Fafnir Oliver sought out Jason and fought him. This time he was prepared for the fight, and beat his old ally into submission, but before the final blow could be struck Fafnir and the others stole his body away, eluding them after a brutal chase in the air.

After seeing and hearing of the horrible things they could do together, Oliver became determined to kill Amaranth and Fafnir. Worried about the stress he was under, Renegade arrived to assist him in the final battle. While May and the others fought a war against Paragon'n'Pals' old nemesis Garret, Oliver gathered Renegade, and his ally-turned-enemy-turned-ally Jason and his second Lucifer. The four of them tracked Amaranth down, agreeing that he needed to be stopped. Once there, Jason, Lucifer, and Renegade fought Amaranth while Oliver engaged Fafnir. The beast was far too powerful to fight alone, though, and Oliver was on his last legs when rescue arrived. A beaten and crippled Renegade, with a horde of demons, charged the dragon and wore him down at the cost of all their lives. Enraged at the death of his mentor, Oliver took to the fray once more and fought in a frenzy even after his arm was severed, inventing a new style of combat for himself as he went. The battle took to the city itself, as the island slowly sank to the sea as it was destabilized from their cataclysmic clash. With a decisive strike Oliver killed Fafnir, the dragon lying dead in the burning streets. He then turned to help Jason fight the insane Amaranth, who had become too powerful for any of them to stop. After a vicious conflict, all three combatants collapsed from exhaustion, where they were recovered by the military.

A month passed, and Oliver and his companions were recognized as "Renegades", heroes in the eyes of the people. Unsure of what to do, Oliver decided he would help rebuild their city.

Post Arc 2- Oliver spent the next seven years juggling three major aspects of his life. First was rebuilding the city. With a nearly limitless supply of money given to him by the late Dan Rook, he was able to pour massive funding into every project the city required of him.

The second was his family. Oliver made sure to provide for his wife and son as they required, and spent as much time with them as was humanly possible. Two years after the events of the 2nd Arc, he and May had their second child, a girl named Elysia. Noah became a remarkably bright young child, obsessed with learning anything he could. His psychic powers began to manifest more frequently as well, requiring Oliver to teach him how to control them. With a bit of caution May attempted to gauge the limit of Noah's powers; the machine was fried long before Noah showed signs of stopping. They live in a grand estate, though markedly more humble than Dan's city in the mountain that he called a home. May continued to work with the Rat Pack, by now a nearly altruistic organization, in comparison to the organized gang it had been a decade before. Recently, Elysia has begun to show signs of inheriting her mother's super-speed. How this is possible, due to its introduction by Serum, the pair are currently investigating.

The third is his life as a superhero, which had eased considerably after the battle with Amaranth. Few criminals dared to attempt anything in his city after the apocalyptic events that destroyed its predecessor, and those few that did, while challenging, proved no comparison to the beasts he had manged to defeat before. Oliver tried not to let this make him soft, and trained with other heroes in the city constantly, his LARPing prowess allowing him to convert them into an organized sport of sorts, which quickly drew a following of thousands within the city.

Name: Alan Remo

Alias: Buster Blue

Gender: Male

Allingment: Lawful Good (and squeaky clean too!)

Age: 13

Previous Hero: His parents; Jolt (neutral good) and Hardwire (lawful good) (John and Sandra Remo). Jolt could manipulate electricity at low levels and Hardwire was a technology genius who fought using advanced weaponry.

Powers: None. Alan has yet to show any manifestations of extraordinary powers. He does have a modest amount of training in Jujitsu though.

Appearance:

Personality: Friendly and curious, Alan prefers to avoid conflict whenever necessary. Alan is somewhat sheltered and can become a bit of a pest if left unchecked. Is a bit of a coward.

Biography: Alan was a bit of an odd duck growing up. Despite having two powered parents and an active Power X chromosome, he displayed absolutely no signs of powers himself. This was fine with his somewhat overprotective mother who didn't want him fighting crime anyways. However, recognizing the danger in the world she built the SA type protective armor suit.

Unfortunately Alan did end up in a fight and won thanks to his armor. When his father found out though he started to encourage Alan to go out and follow his parents footsteps. When Alan's mother found out she was furious but resigned and began to upgrade the suit and take part in training Alan.

Alan spent several years fighting alongside his parents and their allies. However, about a year and a half ago Alan's father died of heart failure during a fight from using his power too much. About a year afterword Alan's mother died as well due to the cancer that she could no longer contain with her technology.

Other: Alan currently uses the SA-04 Protective Armor Suit, the most advanced built by his mother before her death.

Though without the rifle or wheels and with a pair of small missile launchers on the shoulders.
Major componentsof the SA-04:
Force field generator - Able to project a protective spherical shield around the armor unit about a foot out. However, if the shield absorbs too much force too quickly it will short out.
Impact cannons - These wrist mounted carbines fire high density ammunition that expands on impact resulting in maximum kinetic force with minimum piercing. More likely to knock you down then kill you.
Ion canon - This electron-projection weapon will mostly just tickle organics but can overload unprotected circuits and electronics.
Jump Jets - Rockets mounted in the feet and backpack can allow for very limited flight.
Missiles - These small self propelled warheads can be configured to high explosive, concussion wave, or smoke discharge modes. There's no space for independent targeting units so they have to get all flight data from the suit. The suit has 2 launchers each of which can fire up to 6 missiles at once and can hold a total 18 missiles at a time.
Motion sensor - This terrestrial based passive sonar only has an operation range of about 10 yards and requires the suit to be immobile and touching the ground.
Strength enhancement - Alan is not very strong but the suit provides a small boost at least allowing him to wear it comfortably.
Auto repair - The suit can automatically repair damage and maintain itself though it can take long periods of time and requires the part to not be used during repairs.

Alan also has access to the EXO-SA-S. A small satellite that is basically an automated maintenance and repair rack for the SA armor suit capable or repairing it faster then the suit's system. It also has a teleporter for the suit allowing it to be warped (without occupant) to or from the satellite. Alan can access the satellite through his communicator watch, or by using a special phone number.

Name: Darian Daniels

Alias: Umbra

Gender: Female

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Age: 21

Previous Hero: Akira Qi, aka "Shinobi". A nonpowered ninja-themed LN hero who acted like a stereotypical ninja. A very uptight, strict, and cold master, Akira has apprenticed Umbra some years ago after they both failed to catch a criminal due to Umbra's lack of combat experience. He died a year previously due to being caught in an all black uniform and was slain.

Powers:
-Shadow matter generation: This power allows her to create a small amount of solidified darkness in her hands. This power has found no apparent use, as the result is a soft clump that breaks into powder very easily.

Darian is well versed in baton and bare-handed combat, as well as stealth techniques, and is unusually conditioned for someone of her age. She always felt that she fought better in the darkness; it was later revealed by Shinobi that darker environments slightly amplified her body, somehow leading to a universal increase in overall battle capabilities, with emphasis on speed and agility.

Appearance:
Body:Short black hair with grey eyes and pale skin. Thin scar over right eye (usually the one she covers). 65 inches in height and 120 pounds... And no, no horridly obvious secondary gender traits. I know where your mind was heading...
Uniform: Dark gray camouflage is generally the uniform color Darian wears, though alternates exist for country missions. Wears an eyepatch over one eye, a bandana over the hair and a tight-fitting facemask to conceal identity. Other than this, Darian wears an easily-detached cloak over loose-fitting long-sleeved top and bottom, with combat boots and elbow length gloves, as well as a utility belt with combat gear in it, including rope, grappling hook, and two batons - all somehow matching in color. The uniform has an androgynous look to it... though that might not be the best comment.
Mask Dark gray, looks like this:

Personality: Remarkably laid-back (and a bit lazy) for someone having such a strict former master, Darian is typically well-receiving of others, though quick to snark and quip. While pleased to help catch dangerous criminals, Darian also will occasionally "relieve" people of certain possessions and quite likes taking shiny things. Does not actively like combat, but will efficiently end it. One trait successfully passed from Shinobi was a disrespect for honor codes, like bushido or chivalry.

Darian also likes the darkness, and night time.

Biography: Born and raised in the city by two lower-middle-class parents, Darian quickly discovered her affinity for the darkness - sneaking around while supposedly asleep (as she never slept as much as most kids). She eventually learned to use this for her (and, after overhearing an angry conversation with someone, her family's) own gain, thinking them none the wiser as to how money and items kept appearing just in time for the bills to be due. Unfortunately, however, her parents' health began declining around age 17. Upon their deathbeds, they told Darian that they'd known about her the whole time: how they themselves had once been a crimefighter and burglar, how their interactions had turned from hostile to amicable, how they'd retired and moved 'at some point', and how their powers had in the end accelerated their aging (fortunately, they said, they figured that Darian herself would not have this problem necessarily, as one had a corrosive energy ability and the other, a speed and teleportation power).

After mourning her parent's death, she created the Shadow identity - which lead her to Shinobi. After Shinobi's death, she rebranded herself Umbra, and continues her acts of thievery and interception of those more... malevolent than her.

A pair of thick leather boots with skull prints on each side of each boot. Wears a simple black bandana on his forehead, to keep the hair out of his face.

Personality:Max has a very dull look on life, He just doesn't have the drive he used to. Likes to act tough, especially around other tough looking people. Can be very intimidating when he want's to be, but usually likes to lie low, unless something aggravates him.

His father was a kind man, and it rubbed off on Max, he will protect the weak and seekout evil wherever it may be, and put a end to it.

Third:After his ordeal with the Paragon and Pal's group seven years ago, Max took to drinking, and drink he did. He would be at a different bar every night, still riding the massive bike he borrowed from Oliver. He would drink himself into a stupor, trying to forget about everything that had gone wrong in his life, the shame, and the friends he had lost. He had made some awful desicions, and felt likewise.
He ended up at a random bar one day, getting ready to get drunk, when he sat down in the only vacant seat at the counter. That's when the bar got quiet, and Max leaned onto the counter, tired and trying to look small, as not to draw attention to himself. He heard the door open, and the footsteps of atleast four people, and then the door shut itself quickly, and with some force. The guy next to him snickered to himself as he heard him whisper"Your in for it now, buddy" as Max heard the footsteps get closer and closer to himself. The guy behind him said something, trying to sound menacing, as Max sat there, looking down at the counter, lost in his own thoughts. Thats when the man punched the back of Max's head, knocking Max out of his thoughts and letting his head smack the counter, doing little physical damage. Then came the laughing, as the men joked to themselves about Max being a chicken and other things of the like, that is, until Max stood up and faced them. Thats when the men went dead quiet, and the bar did as well. With one arm Max picked up the man that punched him, and with the other gave a shattering punch to his chest, hearing the ribs crack as he threw the man down, all before the rest of the group could react, and then came the yells of pain, and the yells of anger from his friends as they pulled knives from there jackets, slashing at Max, but to little use. Max picked up one man and threw him across the bar, his head smacking against the wall with a loud thud as he slunk to the floor, and grabbing the hand of the one with the knife, broke his wrist with a quick twist and sliced the mans arm with his own knife. The last one fled quickly, running scared. Max then quickly left, jumping on his huge motorcycle and riding off into the night.
Max was a changed man that day, he felt that bad people were on the rise once more, and what his father would want of him if he were still alive. So he went back to stopping bad guys, more of a lone fighter rather than a hero, stopping small crimes and the like whenever he could, moving town to town and stopping the bad guys, and he felt better for the first time in a long time. He toughned himself considerably doing all of this, and is ready to keep on doing the work of a hero, feeling good and ready for it for the first time in seven years.

Name: Alex Lang
Alias: Res
Gender: Alex prefers to keep this a secret and is too androgynous for anyone to tell without prorper examination.
Allingment: Lawful neutral by nature but aspires to be chaotic good.
Age: 22
Previous Hero: Archangel, Chaotic good with the power to break down living things into a special paste and use it to heal others. Archangel died a few weeks ago.
Powers: Alex has two powers the first is that when they die he/she can effectively re-spawn at a predetermined location (usually their current home) another body is created to replace Alex's corps but it rapidly decomposes (usually dust within a day). Alex can set the location them-self simply by putting down one of their personal effects (often a small trinket as long as it has personal significances) Alex can't take anything with them self when they re-spawn (apart from, oddly enough, the indigo cloak which follows Alex everywhere). The second power is more minor, possibly even not a power at all. Alex is very agile as well as skilled at free-running/ climbing and fighting with the two daggers they keep on their person.
Notes- Alex suffers from resurrection sickness after re-spawning and while he/she can re-spawn in battle considering Alex would be disoriented and unarmed it is a pretty stupid thing to do.
Appearance:
- Character Skin Colour/Ethnicity: British Japanese so there skin is pretty fair with only a hit of yellow.
- Character Height: 5,7
- Character Hair: Alex's hair is short straight and jet black. It comes down to the bottom of their head and most sides apart from fringe which ends just above Alex's eye brows.
- Character Eye Colour: Green, but not the normal pale green proper emerald.
- Character Description: Alex I thin for the most part but years of free running have given him/her hard to notice muscles. Alex is pretty flat chested but has wide hips not that many people ever see either. Alex's skin is covered in small hard to notice scars, Alex assumes they are remnants from each death which they probably are. They don't cause Alex any pain and you need to look closely to notice them.
- Character Attire: Alex always wears this indigo cloak and hood and normally wears something black and loose fitting to help keep up the androgyny. Oddly enough thanks to Alex extensive experience with free running allows Alex to move uninhibited in clothes that would trip most people up. Alex also wears white trainers.
Personality: Alex is generally rather reserved preferring to keep people distant except for really special circumstances. One of Alex?s greatest shames is his/her inability to be truly good. While Alex tries he/she just can?t get past his/her natural inhibitions/ difficulty putting others before themself. Alex also prefers if their gender remains unknown but why exactly he/she does is not known.
Alex is also rather protective and cautious with everything apart from his/her own body.
Biography:
While his/her mother was Japanese Alex spent the first twenty years of his/her life in England and has never met any of his/her mother?s family.
Alex was born in London and went to private schools until he/she was 15. Alex had always had troubles in school partly because of their insistence on keeping their gender a mystery which really made socialising difficult. As escapism Alex turned to free running exploring as much of the capital as he/she could by the rooftops. Alex actually discovered his/her power at 13 (Free running has a pretty steep learning curve). A few more experiments allowed Alex to work the specifics of their powers.
It was not until Alex was 16 and about to go to college that a failed prank by one of their classmates killed several students and should have killed Alex. This forced Alex to run away, the survivors guilt and claims Alex was a freak of nature (not only because of their powers) were too much.
After a few months Alex met Archangel and they feel in love. Well Alex fell in love Archangel was everything Alex couldn?t be and so wanted to become. Maybe it was just the poor social life Alex had had but he/she didn?t mind or even notice archangels more abrasive/ aggressive habits.
Then one day Archangel picks a fight with the wrong people. Alex couldn?t bring him/herself to be there so Archangel died. Alex ran again this time ending up in whatever the hell city this vill.

Xandus has a power which, when he drinks blood or eats flesh, causes him to become invigorate. We becomes stronger when consuming flesh and blood, and can even heal wounds.

As he consumes enough blood or flesh, his body undergoes freakish bodily changes in form of claw-like hands, razor teeth, increased strength/speed and heightened senses.

They didn't like what he had to say, and they decided to attack Xandus and try to kill him. During the fight, Xandus managed to swallow some blood of one of the guys he punched. He suddenly became stronger and was able to beat every one of the gangsters, and even tore out one guy's throat.

Shortly afterwards, Xandus? brother Aidan found out that he had unique powers as well. The two of them became some of the biggest most important members of the gang after that. The brothers were well-known by folks on the street because of their abilities. Despite the fact Xandus always claimed Aidan was the leader of the duo, letting his brother make any big calls or decisions, he would usually influence his brother into doing what he wanted. Xandus was the most feared of the duo because of his more ruthless personality and his willingness to kill. He got the nickname ?Vampire? because of his power.

One day, Xandus got tired of taking orders from people he consider weak idiots and betrayed the gang he was in. He killed most of the members and stole the money they had, then left the city. Aidan stayed behind instead of leaving with his brother.

Xandus was briefly appeared during the events that occurred seven years ago, but he didn?t stick around long enough to have an impact on what was going on. Since then, he?s been moving around doing his own things. He?s traveled to Europe, met a man obsessively researching Power X, visited his brother a few times, was almost killed by another mutant, and fought in a warzone for almost a year.

Powers: Nearly all of Magus Ex Machina's are based around some kind of illusion. He cannot create copies of himself during battle (the target is too focused on the real Magus to be fooled), but he can do it before a battle to add initial confusion. He can also set up fake walls or force-fields(giving the appearance that he can walk through walls); he can fake the appearance of any item as long as it can be held in two hands or less; he can make materials (such as metal, wood, water, air, blood) seem to move or behave in ways that they shouldn't be able to; he can also create illusory animals and mythical creatures (even give them voices and personalities, as he is a talented ventriloquist). If he really needs to, he can enter another's mind and prepare a nightmarish trap for them in their own heads... however, while he does this he is extremely vulnerable to physical attacks, and if he is interrupted he risks being trapped in the nightmare with or instead of his target. His only "actual" means of defense are blocking with his staff, or deploying a personal force-field (which immobilizes him as long as he uses it). His only "actual" offensive options are throwing fire-based projectiles at his foes (he can throw handful-sized fireballs at his target --which is a range of however far he can throw at the time... he's no baseball pitcher, but he can throw pretty far if he needs to and if he's on high ground--, he can shoot a beam of fire from his staff --this has a range of 15 feet, but stops going forward the instant it hits anything--, or he can breath fire --within a range of 7 feet--. His only other means of attack is to actual hit people with his staff (which he is very skilled with), or his fists (which he isn't very good at).

Appearance: 5'10", green eyes, short black hair; Like this. [http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSXluhZAi6I0ZlIHnfkG-yFnbnCoCUz2sTwzVgcZ7fsQvzks3Ln]

Personality: Magus, like many mages is subtle and quick to anger. In other words, he doesn't often let others know what he's thinking... he doesn't actually hide his emotions... rather, he USES them as simply another tool in his arsenal. Ever since he betrayed his former "master", he is always afraid that he'll return, seeking vengeance; this makes Magus very paranoid and very difficult to get close to him... but once someone does get past his barriers, he is actually very friendly. In battle, he is focused on the objective and little if anything else. He sometimes stops to help out citizens in danger, but whether he does this or not is up to a dart toss most of the time. If Magus sees you as a threat, he will kill you unless something or someone stops him.

Bio: He is actually related to his former master, Dexter Morgan... in fact... he's Dexter's grandson. At any early age, Dexter noticed that his grandson had urges similar to his own; so he, like his foster father, tried to guide him to "the code of Harry" (i.e. only kill other serial killers/genuine threats to the innocent). After he graduated from MIT, Magus quickly proved to be highly adept with technology... to the point of being able to simulate the effect of magic; which was great news for Dexter, because it made manipulating evidence to his advantage MUCH easier. This system worked for a while, until Magus realized that he was being used, and being groomed to follow a code of conduct that held no meaning for him and that he saw as self-contradictory. Knowing that Dexter would never let him leave on his own, but still naive and unwilling to kill his grandfather; so he just let all of the evidence he had been hiding from the police just... turn up at the Miami police office while Dexter was busy "hunting". In short order, Dexter was tried and sentenced to life imprisonment. Of course, Magus never held much confidence in any security system (or any kind of "order"), so he took on his alias, made his costume for himself, and ran, looking for an escape, looking for a new start. He hasn't gone by his real name in roughly 17 years. Ever since he ran, he's been moving from town to town, correcting injustice or dishing out pain as he saw fit... never staying long enough anywhere for a pattern to emerge.

Other: Only Magus may wield his staff, others can hold it, but all of the technology within it is locked to Magus's genetic signature.

Name: Analiese

Alias: Charmer

Gender: Female

Previous Hero: White Noise. An intelligence agent who used ammunition, martial arts and raw strength to defeat the enemies of his city. He used Charmer as an Intel gatherer and healer to aid his progress and warn him of active criminals.

Powers: The power of healing. As a white mage, Analiese was often thought of as a white witch. She uses magic and her own life energy to heal others. By using this power she takes in the injuries of the injured, though the physical wound itself will not materialise in her body she suffers the weaknesses, pains and anguishes. Ana also has the expert ability to hack into signals and systems to gather and decipher any form of intelligence (specialty is soundwave decrypting). Ana can also use simple enchantments as defences, such as creating ice shields by using the condensation in the air.

- Character Height: 5 feet, 2 inches

- Character Description: Has a large dark blue scar down her back, and each time she gives part of her life source to save another it grows larger.

- Character Attire: A short white tank top with a black border, long black cargo pants and a pair of white court shoes and fingerless, elbow length white gloves. She also has an oval shaped silver locket in which she carries a mysterious glowing white substance. She wears a set of high tech headphones on her head at all time they are used to gather and pass on information, via the attached microphone. She only ever wears one headphone, so that she can still hear those around her.

Personality: Analiese is a very conservative young girl. She cares deeply about others and will often go above and beyond to help others. She can get stubborn at times, and often hot headed, but she can be calmed down by people close to her.

Biography: Analiese was raised by a group of white mages who trained her in the arts of healing and enchanting defences. When she turned 13 she was by their standard an adult. She then left and began to train herself in the art of hacking. She began working for an intelligence agency, gathering Intel and being used as a tool to heal agents. This was like torture as she was continuously drained of her life energy and put through excruciating pain. One of the agents, ALIAS ? White Noise, took pity on her and stole her away. The pair became a crime fighting team and began to rid their home city of crime. Unfortunately White Noise again took advantage of her healing powers, forcing her to run away and live alone.

Name: Abhaya Hal-Menon

Alias: Hivemind

Gender: Male

Alignment: Chaotic good

Age: 19

Previous Hero: The Deamon-kin, She's his adopted mother and she maintains a massive nano-hive inside of her. She also has telepathy and empathy at her disposal.

Powers: He carries a huge amount of nano-machines inside his body. They can preform pretty much any task he requires them too such as augmenting his strength or making his skin like armour. He doesn't have much control over his abilities however and each feat requires immense amounts of energy. They recharge by having Abhaya consume large quantities of raw energy and materials.

Character Skin Colour/Ethnicity:
Abhaya, like his adopted mother, is an Indian. His skin is light brown

Character Height:(6 feet tall)

Character Hair Colour: Abhaya?s hair is a deep black. This is namely due to the nano-machines altering his hair colour to the most heat efficient colouring to make the most of energy.
Character Hair Length/ Style: Abhaya's hair is short and quite messy. It also has a tendency to become heated. Even normally it?s rather unpleasant to touch.

Character Eye Colour: Light grey. They have a bit of a hypnotizing quality about them that makes them very hard to look away from.

Biography: Abhaya Hal-Menon was born on December 1st to an unknown father and a dying mother. He was given up to scientists for testing upon a prototype antidote for the Power-X chromosome. The testing went wrong when Nano-machines (Brand-new technology at the time) ate through their containment field and burrowed into the body of the then 12-year old Abhaya, leaving horrible scars along his back. The Scientist?s threw the ?defective test subject? out in the frigid cold of Siberia. It was here where he was found by a lesbian couple by the names of Karen Menon and Alicia Hal, who took him in clothed him and gave him his very first name.
Abhaya soon took an immediate liking to his saviors and began requesting things to do around the house. Karen shied away from him normally but on occasion she?d request his help going shopping for food. Alicia, on the other hand, was eager to have an extra pair of hand to help around the house as Karen was completely incompetent in daily house hold chores. Karen, he learned after talking with Alicia, had lived a very hard life growing up just as he did. Karen did eventually warm up and began walking him to school every day.
Abhaya started school with all intentions to learn of other cultures and histories but he quickly found out that, as Karen said, School was not all it was cracked up to be. Somehow some of the kids had found out about his past and began to make blisteringly mean and hateful remarks. Not wanting to cause the teachers who he liked trouble, he quietly weathered the blistering volley after volley, patiently taking down notes for the class he so desperately wanted to pass.
Even with the offensive rumors and bullying, Abhaya forged on. Three months after he passed the 8th grade he finally just snapped, getting into a fight. He managed to get a good punch in and gave the other student a black eye. However just be the teacher conference, Alicia got sick and sent Karen in her place. Karen had been inadvertently peeking into his mind and she furiously demanded the boy, whom had been taunting Abhaya, to be suspended at the minimum. Unfortunately Abhaya could not prove that the boy had been tormenting him, so Karen took the most direct course of action. She simply removed him from school. He was very sad but Karen promised to personally take responsibility for his teaching. He had no idea what she had gotten him into...

<spoiler=Big Bad Guy: Minus>

Name: Roxald Hanranken.

Alias: Minus

Gender: Male

Allingment: Lawful Evil. He believes heavily in his own set of rules, not what most people would call good, but it is his morals and he lives by them.

Age: 27

Previous Hero: Night: A True Neutral Hunter. He was sometimes good, sometimes bad, whatever made him a living. He could control darkness, and form it from his fingertips.
Pain: A Chaotic Evil man who could twist the memories of people, adn place ideas into their minds.

Powers: Minus's powers are the ability to steal energy, then use it to his advantage. His powers are split up into two parts, each part going to a hand. His left hand can steal and store energy, and his right hand can use that energy. His left hand can store as much energy as is needed, and the energy that is stored, comes out almost the same from his right hand when he wants it to, the only difference being it is slightly stronger.

Appearance:

Minus the wings and eye patch of course.

Minus has medium pitch black hair, going down to the base of his neck, almost shoulder length. His face was sharp, and had almost no hint of softness behind it. His eyes were a dark brown colour, bordering on black.

His clothes were fairly striking, his previous Hero wore it, and he now wears it as a remembrance of him. Same as in the picture.

His and have changed due to his powers. The hand with the ability to take away all energy, grew pure white. It almost glowed at times and glows brightly through use. His right hand though, contrasted heavily. It was a glistening red colour mostly, but has dashes and smudges of black through use. The morphing of his hands didn't stop their, it went up to almost half way up to his elbow, and elongated his fingertips, making them like claws.

Personality: Minus tries to act as much like a gentlemen as he can, treat others the way he himself never was. He is as nice as possible to people who had joined him willingly, yet hated the ones who don't, and hate them with all of his heart.

Through battle, he is as calm as anyone. If he can meditate before, or during a fight, he can create a zone called "Seikoken". An imaginary orb around him, that he can sense whenever and anything or any body crosses it, and can react accordingly. Only cna be created when he is in a sense of ultra calm.

Biography: Minus had a difficult child hood. He had trouble making friends, due to his weird hands. They both started normal, but as his deeds with each hand changed, so did their appearance. They began to change to yellow, as he mostly used them to show off, but his left eventually changed to white, as he started to take the energy from wounds so they couldn't;t hurt, and to stop projectiles aiming for people and himself.

Despite his niceness for everyone, they treated him as a tool and as a freak, all of the kids made him an outcast. When he was 7, he was told the story of the Renegades, and instantly admired them, he wanted to be one of them, a group of so called "Freaks" who had turned out and saved the world, he wanted to be just like them.

He trained hard, with little friends, he had lots of time to practise, with both his powers, and school. By the time he had finished school, he still had no friends, but was dux of the school, and could do anything he wanted with his powers.

In graduation, a man approached him, asking him if he wanted to help him with some crime fighting business. He agreed before he could even finish talking. For a year, he helped this man, thinking that as his first friend, he could do no wrong, and everything he did was for a good cause. He found out after he was slaughtered by another Hero, that not everything he had done was good, in fact he had done almost all evil things.

Distraught, all he was a mess, he had no idea what he should do. As fate would have it, he was found by another man with powers, this time, not a Hero, a Villain. His name was Pain, and as his chosen name suggested, all he lived for was to cause pain for others.

He reached into the boys mind, and placed a few ideas into his head, twisting his memories to make him join him. His life was mostly the same, except for a few key changes. Like Pain replacing his father, Night being a psychotic murderer who had kidnapped him, and caused him heaps of pain.

And that Pain had been the one to save him, causing him even more loyalty. While he was in there he changed his morals too, forging new ones, changing them for the worse.

After his ordeal with Pain, he believed everything that had been put in his head. He joined Pain, helping him with his deeds. His right hand being the cause for most of the dread, and lots of killing, so it took upon a dark red colour.

After another year of this, Pain fell in a battle against Oliver and the other Renegades, who had formed 13 years ago, and where still going strong, getting stronger. At that moment, he vowed revenge of the ones who had taken his apparent "Father and Saviour" from him.

He donned his "fathers' Cloak and clothes. He started subtly, by raising a small fortune, and creating many organised gangs full or Villains, all in one pursuit, to eliminate Oliver. With his fortune, his syndicate bought the moon. To make it habitable, he employed thousands of people with powers to make the moon a habitable place.

After he had enough money, he started his public fight with Renegades. He attacked their strong hold directly, trying to take them out and the rest of his life was filled with a combination of running gangs and trying to destroy the ones that he set a vendetta upon.

Other: Main Bad Guy.

It was a new morning in the small town of Bright Grove, the sun was shining, despite being a fairly chilly early spring day. The day was just starting, people were opening their shops, people were going to work, and some were causing mischief.

The town was fairly small, having mostly just a small hospital being its main point. It had few other places, but nothing too exciting.
_______________________________________________________

Enchanter ran across the rooftops of the town of Bright Grove. He cursed at his opponent who had dragged him all the way down to this town. He started this chase an hour ago, and now they were still sprinting, he was holding a blade in each hand, one to increase his speed, thew other his stamina and endurance. The man he was chasing was a fast one, having the ability of flight wasn?t an easy one to capture, but it needed to be done.

The villain flew across the sky, and Ashe chased him below, he was happy he had prepared a few extra blades for this. As he landed on another building, he pulled out another blade, one to increase his leg strength. He leapt into the air as high as he could, grabbing the flying fool by the legs, dragging him down towards the earth.

They both slammed into the ground, cracking the rooftop of a quite large building. Ashe let go of his enemy as he struck the ground, but got up quickly, as was his prey. Before he could gain the speed to start flying again, Enchanter slammed his left hand into the ground, and a grey circle appeared around his hand, spreading a little bit over the floor. He raised his right hand, and slammed it into the middle of the circle. The circle began to glow brightly, the design inside of it rising from the ground with the light. The circle flashed once more then spread throughout the building, the second is spread around the building, the man running became sluggish, slowing down and not being able to fly anymore.

Ashe smiled to himself and thought 'Excellent, the weight enchantment works' before standing up and walking slowly over to his prey as he tried to escape, he kept trying to fly away, yet could never make it because of the added weight.

<spoiler=OOC>Okay, So this is the start of the New Role Play. It would be nice if all of you were in the town of Bright Grove for some reason... You could be chasing villains, working a normal life, visiting friends, anything really.

If possible, try and show some of your powers, nothing major, just a little bit of it.
Have fun, try and make it something that you can finish up quickly, or don't mind it being interrupted.[/spoiler]

The man ran through the alleyways of Bright Grove clutching a handbag, running like a man runs when his life is endangered. He dashed across the road making cars screech to a halt unflinching as they did, he was concentrating on something else. He finally ran out of breath and, believing he was safe, stopped to breath. His heart burned and he felt showing an increased heart rate, a mix of the running and fear. He heard a distinct sound and looked up "F-F-Fuck my life."
"Now now there's no need to swear..." Green Ace decended from the sky on his board and stepped off when it wasnear the floor, leaving it suspended in the air. "Now give me the bag."

The man complied, shaking as he did. "There you go man, I-I don't want no trouble OK?" He began shifting to the right.
"Not so fast." Ace reached under his board "I wanna show you something first..." He pulled one of his out his electro-swords and walked towards him "See, this is new, I wanna test it... In the name of science..." He tapped the man with the side and the man fell to the ground, squirming. "Oops... A little too powerful... Uh... Sorry man..." He put it back and picked up the man, stepped on his board and flew off arriving at a group of women. He handed one of them the bag. "There you go lady, your bag. Oh and here's the thief." He dumped the man next to her. "You best call the ambulence..." And with that he flew back up and looked down onto Bright Grove.

On the other side of Bright Glove, a small convenience store was the subject of much attention. A young man held the poor cashier of the store hostage; not with a gun, as one might expect, but with the power of burning fire. Ever since he had used Substance P on himself, about five years ago, he found that his powers were nearly unbeatable. Regardless, trouble with one of the local heroes of his hometown forced him to flee to Bright Glove in search of easier pickings. The young man never expected the hero to follow him there...

[hr]

Paragon stood behind the convenience store, ready to burst down the door when his visor rang, indicating that someone was calling him. It was May, so he picked up.

"Could it wait, honey, I'm in the middle of something important."

"No, it can't." His wife asserted. "Your son's report card came home today. He's got a C in Math."

"Wait, THAT is what you called me for? The kid probably just isn't good at math, it's no big deal."

"Oliver, Noah has a genius level IQ at the age of 9. We both know he isn't bad at math; he's just shirking his responsibilities to go play with his friends."

"May, he's 9 years old, he has the powers of a demigod, and he has friends. That's a miracle. Just let him have his fun today, and I promise I'll talk to him about it when I get home. Until then, I have to deal with our old pal Sparky." He hung up and kicked down the door, the shock of which caused the young man, nicknamed "Sparky" to look away from his hostage just long enough for an energy blast to knock him away.

The man stood up and extended his arms, a torrent of flame jetting out, but Oliver held out an arm of his own. This one was golden, and built from energy, its color being the only thing telling it apart due to its near perfect construction. The arm projected a field that caught the fire, as the heat dissipated on its surface. The field constricted and wrapped itself around Sparky's body until he was completely immobile, falling over due to lack of balance. Paragon walked over made a tsk-ing noise before picking Sparky up and lifting him over his shoulder.

"You know Sparky, you're actually the second trouble-maker I've had to deal with today. If you were a little more mature I'm sure you and Noah would get along great." He then dragged the young hoodlum out to a waiting police cruiser, tossing a $20 bill at the cashier as a token of appreciation.

Jason walked towards a man laying at the end of a dark alley. The man was covered in blood, and he could clearly be seen edging away from Jason as he drew near. The man appeared to have been cut open by something, and he seemed to have already lost most of his blood. His skin was pale and blood dripped down from a cut on his forehead.

"Get away from me... he's still here and he'll get you too!" The man gasped, finally falling to the ground as he could move no more.

Jason finally came into a ray of light, the man being able to see him clearly for the first time. Jason wore a black cloak, and a dark black mask with red lines running down either side. His eyes were a dark black, and his pupils were no more then red slits. On Jason's back was a black blade, tied securely around his shoulder. Apart from that Jason wore all black and concealed almost everything else about himself.

"Wait... your not... who are you?" The man gasped, struggling to push himself up to see Jason even clearer.

"Quiet. What do you know of the beast that attacked you?" Jason asked, his voice echoing eerily as if it wasn't entirely his own. The voice he used now bore no resemblance to his normal voice.

"It was big... and it had bright yellow eyes. It had enormous claws that it used to do this to me, and it didn't appear to be of this world. In the light it appeared to be nothing more than a little boy, but in the darkness he changed." The man said, motioning to his chest and then looking over Jason's shoulder. His eyes grew wide before he fell back to the ground in a fit, convulsing for a few seconds before he finally stopped moving all together.

The description the man had just given him sounded like the creature that had been killing off civilians every night for the past week. The only reason Jason hadn't killed it earlier was because every time he had arrived at the crime scene police were already there, and Jason didn't have a good track record with the police.

"Sir? Could you help me find my mother?" A voice said behind Jason.

Jason turned to see a young boy standing partially in the shadows. His face was split in an eerie grin and his hands dripped with blood. His head was cocked slightly to the side, and he seemed to be swaying from side to side as he waited for Jason to speak.

Jason didn't say anything however, instead he stood up and stepped forward, forcing the boy to disappear completely in the darkness. Jason simply followed, leaving the body of the man alone in the sunlight. Jason could see everything better then most humans, but still not as good as he would normally see in the daylight. He kept walking, his footsteps echoing in the silent alley. Jason walked like this for a few seconds before he heard a clicking noise on the walls. A sudden roar and something pounced at Jason, who drew his blade to fast for the beast to react, and sliced clean through its side. The beast fell in the alley a few feet away from Jason, sliding for a few more feet before stopping completely. The only sound now was that of the dying creature, his cries getting softer and softer as its organs began to fail.

Jason simply snapped his finger and watched as a black flame rose up from out of nowhere and consumed the beast. Soon there was nothing left but ash, something Jason left behind while he went to dispose of the dead mans body. For the man Jason did nothing different, simply setting his body ablaze and growing wings to fly off into the sky.

------------------------------------

A few minutes later Jason was sitting at his and Rachel's home, sitting in the living room on the couch and making sure all of his stuff was working to it's max potential. He grabbed his stuff and moved into his work room which is were he had kept all of his files on all of the villains he had brought in recently. Throwing his stuff onto the chair, Jason walked over a chair and sat down, pulling out a file on a beast known as 'The Midnight Stalker'. Jason made a large X mark on the paper, indicating that Jason had taken care of that creature.

A sudden clatter alerted Jason, but it turned out that his mask had only fallen to the floor. Jason stood up out of his chair and grabbed it, a sudden darkness shot out of the mask, causing the entire room to darken a little bit. Jason felt the urge to wear the mask, but he resisted that urge and placed the mask securely in a safe that contained powers. The darkness disappeared, and so did the urge to wear the mask.

Ace flew across the sky, a wide smile across his face. "My names Ace, I'm king they skies. Those people who asked soon found out why. I flew about, did some flips, when saw my epic movements they called it quits..." He saw Paragon. "Huh, looks like another hero..." He stopped for a second. "Hmmm... Should I go down and say hi or should I keep flying? Hmmmm... Meh." He flew down and stopped a few yards off the ground. "Sup man, fighting some crime are ya's?"

The moon was high in the night sky, casting a large shadow across the room. A weakened man scampered into the room, he was thin and badly malnourished, he looked like he might break his legs just standing up. He ran to a man in a dark hood. "Sir, Sir! The preparations are complete... May I have my reward?"

The man in the black hood looked at him, and grabbed his head with his left hand. A faint humming resonated from him, and the weak looking man grew stronger by the second, his arms grew more muscles back and so did the rest of his body. After a few seconds, he looked perfectly fine. He smiled and ran of "Thank you master" he called out as he left the door, not taking his chances to be caught again.

He looked at his watch, "Only a little longer" he whispered to himself before looking back up and staring at the moon.

Paragon looked at the young hero with a face that was, at best, slightly confused. Memories of Roxanne flashed in his mind as he reacted to his speech pattern. However, he pushed those memories back inside his head. He had stopped reacting violently to such people long ago.

"Yes, and no." He explained, trying to be courteous. "I won't be in town for long, I just stopped by to pay a visit to Sparky, and old friend of mine." He raised his only arm up and pointed behind himself with his thumb, at the police cruiser just starting to pull away. "He caught a plane out to here, somehow, so I tailed him for about a week until I caught up with him here. But I'm talking too much."

He extended his hand. "I'm Paragon. Who are you?"

Max rolled into Bright Grove, His motorcycle giving a few weak roars before sputtering out and dying, out of fuel. Max rolled his eyes as he got off the bike, and with an arm, picked it up and placed it upside down onto his shoulder, walking further into town. With the other arm he prepared a cigar, quickly biting off the tip and sticking it into his mouth, and grabbing a match and striking it against the bike, and lighting it up,

Max walked all the way to the nearest gas station, giving the town a good look over as he went. Lots of stuff seemed to be happening, but none that concerned him. He was getting a few odd looks, being as big as he was, and the bike certainly didnt help. He placed it down outside of the station, next to a pump and put the nozzle inside. He walked inside and quickly muttered"Twenty on pump three"In his deep voice, as he slapped down the crumpled twenty dollar bill on the counter, before walking back outside, and going to his bike. He started the gas flow quickly, wanting to hurry up and get to the nearest bar, and see if he could root out any trouble.

He got onto the bike, and turned the key as it roared to life and he sped off down the street, looking around for any trouble. Thats when he saw a man running down the sidewalk, toward him and away from a screaming woman. When Max saw the man had a purse, thats all the convincing he needed. He stopped his bike quickly by digging his feet into the street, almost instantly stopping, and getting some rude honks and words from behind him. He jumped off his bike and grasped the man as he walked by, a mere toy to Max, as the man was kicking and struggling. He grabbed the purse and took it from him, throwing him down to the floor as he yelled out in pain. Max casually walked toward the woman, handing her the purse, and with a quick nod of his head, turned around to leave. He got back onto his bike, the yells and honks had stopped at this point, and he rode off down the street, looking for more trouble.

Rachel sat at home, mindlessly watching something on television. She listened for the door opening or some kind of entry, knowing that Jason would be coming home soon. She held the remote in the air and chanced the channel every now and again, looking for anything to watch for a bit. "Huh... I need to find a job soon." She said, heading down to the kitchen to grab some chips. On her way down, she heard someone come in the front door and hurried down faster. She wrapped her arms around Jason's neck from behind. "Welcome home, sweety." She kissed him on the cheek and rested her head on his shoulder. "How was your day?" She asked, her voice soft and a little tired sounding. She had been looking for work for most of the day, and was worn out by it. She was glad now that Jason was home, and finally eased a little bit.

Hivemind extended his hand out to each his mother's "Thank you for all you have taught me, Mother... But... I must go and ... Find my own place." The two women were sobbing into each other's arms. Karen looked at him with a mixture of pride and regret "Abhaya. We both know that you were adopted. But to me and Alicia, you have been more of a son than anything in this world. I'm proud to have taught you everything I know. May the heavens smile upon your travels, little warrior." She and Alicia broke and gave him a hug before Karen sadly shooed him out the door.

Hivemind tapped the screen of his laptop twice. "Oh gosh! Its frozen! How the heck did this happen."
"I'll tell ya how it happened. Ya little beast." A voice growled from behind him.
"Really? That would be much appreciated, good sir!"
Hivemind felt a painful poke at the back of his shoulder. "Git up!"
Hivemind turned his head part way as he silently instructed the nanobots inside of him to light up his eyes. "Now that wasn't friendly at all!"

"Another abomination stopped, and another five I need to find, but that doesn't matter now, how was your day?" Jason asked, turning around so that he could hug Rachel. He was back in his normal clothes now, just jeans and his jacket. He kissed Rachel before letting her go and grabbing another two files that he would be looking at for a few hours so that he could hunt down the creatures later.

He decided spending time with Rachel was more important though, and threw the files back onto his desk and walked with her into the living room.

Magus stood on the edge of the freeway, attempting to hitch a ride. Minutes, hours, whole days seemed to pass in one gray blur. Finally Magus examined his appearance and realized that he had been so tired that he had forgotten to put on a disguise. Magus left the edge of freeway, and hid out of the drivers' sight behind some tall bushes. A few moments later, Magus emerged, he hadn't changed his facial features at all, but instead of a cloak and staff, he appeared to be wearing an ordinary bright gray jacket and leaning on a cane.

Within minutes, a female truck driver picks Magus up, and putting on his best jovial act, Magus managed to get through several hours of riding to Bright Grove. Magus didn't really care where he was going; he had been on the run from his past long enough to know that he just needed to keep as much distance between himself and his former mentor as possible. Beggars can't be choosers after all. All he has to do is make it another 10 years to eliminate the possibility of Mr. Morgan ever catching up to him again. So... Bright Grove... should be a few marks there...

Once Magus arrived he conjured some flowers for his ride, and walked away in silence. After barely five minutes in the town, Magus had already identified all of the most gullible, and easy to fool civilians he saw... so he began pulling off his usual scams to generate enough cash for a flight once he reached an airport. If he could ever get to an airport before it locked down...

After a few marks, Magus started notice strange flashes of light dancing on the city's rooftops. Magus moved to investigate.

Anyone who wants to be the source of light that Magus investigates is free to be so. But first-come first served, I guess.

Ashe pulled out a blade that he had kept un-enchanted for a reason like this. He press4ed his hand against it, and a red circle came out of his hand this time. He slammed it into the blade, and the blade instantly caught on fire. It was wrapped in it, and covered the entire blade in a flickering flame.

He charged the man trying to escape, the running was hard, since he felt like he was carrying extra weights, but he didn't mind. He grabbed the katana in two hands and swung at his victim. The blade swung clean through his leg, cutting it off and sealing the wound with one swipe.

He fell on the ground in agony, and Ashe tossed his sword away, it being useless to sheathe now. He pulled out a small clothed blade, it was covered in a special cloth, so that he wouldn't receive the effects of the enchantment. He walked over and stabbed it straight into the mans leg again. He screamed in pain for a second, but quickly after stopped, and began to silently weep. "Ah depression blade, my favourite" he said with a chuckle as he picked him up and looked around for a place to put him so he doesn't die.

Rachel smiled when Jason put the notes down, and walked with him into the living room. "Well, I went out looking for a job again, Got nothing, like always. Besides that I just stayed around the house all day. I was hoping to find something soon. I never wanted to be a housewife." She laughed a little, and sat down on the couch and patted the seat next to her's, signaling that she wanted Jason to sit with her. Hmm, been a while since we just sat together. I think we were still dating last time. I liked doing that...
