Jason went over and sat next to Rachel, putting his arm around Rachel and thinking. With his free hand he conjured up a very small fireball and threw it into the nearby fireplace which lit up instantly.

"Just keep trying Rachel, you'll find something soon. You know... you could always go back to fighting crimes like you used to." Jason said, turning to look at Rachel instead of the fireplace.

Hivemind moved away from his unconscious attacker. "Really sorry about this... and your money... and your clothes... and your map. But I needed all of them. Now let's see where we are?" He checked at the map his eyes roving the page with mechanical precision. "15 miles from Bright Grove, eh? Sounds like a good place to go from here." He chuckled to himself an left the scared looking folks of the hotel behind as he walked out of town.

"Very well Alex," Magus said, "You may call me Magus. Just Magus for now."

Magus followed Alex Lang into his apartment.

"If it isn't too forward... What were you doing up here that caused those strange lights to flare off?"

Do you remember Cameron, that wedding you went to yesterday, how you grew scared when that women approached you, amateur, how you lost control and I,we, killed everyone there, the bride and groom and all their children Dren spoke into Cameron's mind. Be quiet Dren Cameron thought as he clenched his hands into fists. Oh how those tiny babies screamed as I ripped the spines out of their parents "I SAID QUIET!" Cameron yelled out loud on accident as he smashed his fist into the table in the Cafe he was sitting in. People looked at him as the table fell apart under the punch. "Sorry" He murmured as he walked outside the Cafe getting fearful looks from the people. Cameron walked down the street and kicked over a few trash cans. He clenched his head and yelled at the sky as he sat down on the curp and tried to collect himself.

As it was night time, Darian found herself out on the rooftops and about in uniform - as usual, looking for something to do. Huh, it's oddly quiet tonight out here. Maybe a good time to-- Huh, what's that? Thoughts of larceny - and the sheen of gold - were interrupted by the crashing of metal and a scream of anger. A mugging? I guess playing hero would be fun as well, it's been a while. Silently, Umbra leaped the rooftops - if one were to look closely, she'd darken during the jump. Landing over the alley, she saw no victim lying in the cans as she expected, but just a man on the curb. No mugging I guess - a druggie maybe? But he's dressed like... a super? I've gotta see what this guy's deal is.

"Hey," she yelled down, trying to keep her voice inviting. "You alright down there?"

Rachel moved herself in Jason's arm more. "I could... but I just don't want to go down that road again. I want to be normal, for once, you know? I didn't really get a normal childhood, I want to just be a normal adult." She looked up at Jason. "But, thanks for the encouragement, anyway." She kisses him and wrapped her arms around his waist.

Max was rolling down the road when he saw a man storm out of a cafe, he didn't quite catch the name of the place. He saw him walk down the street and kick over a few things, looking sorta mad. He decided to investigate, He didn't need to be stopping this guy from hurting someone later if he could talk to him now. Max rolled his bike up to him and shut it off, leaning on the front of it before asking."Whats up, Guy?"

"Nothing" Cameron managed out as his necklace slowly glowed as Dren slowly gained control. Black veins started crawling up his neck. Cameron took a deep breath and the veins of corruption slowly subsided. "Just some guy annoyed me, alot" Witty of you Cameron, witty, just kidding you idiot, you are so weak, I can't believe you are so... Cameron managed to tune out the string of insults.

Satisfied that the strange source of light was not an immediate threat, Magus waved Alex goodbye, and climbed his way down to a nearby Cafe where some sort of commotion was going on that looked like it might be good for a lark. As he emerged from an alleyway near the Cafe, Magus dropped his disguise, revealing his cloak and staff. Magus covered his mouth with some folds of his cloak and approached the two arguing strangers quietly. Magus said nothing, preferring to wait and see what would happen.

Umbra snuck down the building on her grappling hook and leaned on the wall, addressing Cameron again - Why did training drill into me that I need to be quiet so well? . "OK, the hero is gone now, so is there something wrong?" She figured that he'd be less open with a consistent hero if he* had an issue.

Cameron looked at Umbra. "There are some things you do not tell people" He said simply as he shook off the thoughts of the wedding and slowly began walking down the street towards the makeshift house he had in a abandoned warehouse.

Huh... Well, it doesn't sound quite like a drug problem. Intrigued, Umbra knocked the grappling hook loose and began putting it away; this guy was definitely egregious enough to trail for a bit. Though the hero was also interested in him; hopefully she wouldn't get recognized and have to fight... doubtful as that scenario was - Umbra only vaguely recognized the man anyway, but not wanting to risk it, she waited a bit before shadowing them.

Magus heard the clink of metal, he searched for its source and saw a grappling hook being retracted. Its owner seemed to be a rather attractive young woman. Intrigued, Magus quietly followed her as she walked. Keeping his distance, and ducking into nearby alleys whenever she thought to turn around.

Magus was fascinated by the woman, but his years on the run had taught him to err on the side of caution. For now, he would observe her, and decide if she was safe to approach.

So now he's shadowing someone who was shadowing him. I could go for endless recursion, but let's not. Though she's unaware of being tailed at the moment, she was trained by a ninja, so it'll be harder than usual to maintain.

Umbra noticed that the hero disappeared. Well, either he's moved on or is shadowing as well... Guess I'd better keep an eye out for him now, just in case the hero makes a move on this guy first. Umbra continued following her target, ducking further into the alleys to avoid his detection; the distraught usually react badly to being tailed. Experience and Master Shinobi taught that, though at least Shinobi omitted the thrown bottle. Good thing she'd started wearing the outer mask by that point...

Max had stayed quiet after that, it wasn't any of his business if the man said he was fine. He turned the key of his bike and it roared to life as he sped down, ignoring the others. Every vigilant, Keepin city by city safe. he said to himself with a chuckle as he sped down the road, stopping for a quick light before moving again. He looked around for any more disturbances, not wanting anyone to get hurt under his watchful eye.
