Magus decided that the woman might be useful... maybe even a potential ally, so he caught up with her and kept pace with her as she walked.

"Hello," Magus began cautiously, "Who are you? And why are you in such a hurry?"

"Pale what" Cameron said to himself as he looked into a puddle, and sure enough his face was white. "Where did my tan..." He began and his eyes widened cameron quickly stood up and noticed the veins of corruption across his body. "Oh no" You can't suppress me fool Dren said as Cameron sprinted full speed down the street as Dren slowly gained control. He ran into the warehouse and shut the door. He collapsed on the ground and tried to push away the corruption.

Dren laughed in triumph as he took control of Cameron's body the once white armour was now black and covered with protruding spikes Cameron's sword was now Jagged and black. Dren pushed through the warehouse into the light. He hefted his blade and stood infront of a car trying to get through the Street. The driver honked and began to go into reverse when a bolt of black fire shot through his hand, incinerating it. Dren jumped on the hood and tore the driver through the windshield. "We are going to have fun!" Dren said as he slowly advanced upon the helpless man

Well, great, seems he's been following me. And judging by that performance, he's better than I'd expect at trailing people. I'll have to be more careful in the future. Responding calmly, she began responding to the man, right hand near a baton. "They call me Umbra. As for why I'm here-" A crash interrupted her. "Well, looks like I was right to follow him." She turned back to the hero, pulling out the baton and extending it. "Shall we go see what our new friend is up to?"

"Yes, let's." Magus followed Umbra, waiting for a sign that he should intervene.

Max heard a crash behind him, and cursed at himself for being so stupid.How could I have missed the starts of that! Pull it together... Max thought to himself as he wheelied on his bike and flipped it around, going between the cars in the lanes and heading toward whatever made that noise. He got there quickly, looking upon a man in black armor standing over another man on the ground, appearing to be a civillian."Hey bud! Why dontcha pick on someone your own size. Max said as he flicked his cigar at the man in armor, leaving a bit of ash on the man before it fell to the ground.

Dren looked at Max and stabbed his sword through the man.He lifted the sword up and flicked the man off of the sword. The man was moaning in agony and Dren laughed as he flicked a burst of black fire over the man, burning him quickly. Dren flung the black fire through windows of nearby houses without breaking eye contact with max.

"Alright guy, lets get this started right!" Max said, the scene barely phasing him. He got off his bike and laid it down on its side, sliding it off the road and onto the sidewalk on the other side. He grasped his hands together as he cracked his fingers, then cracked his neck with a few quick jerks. He grabbed a stop sign on the side of the road, ripping it right out of the ground before walking forward, still a bit of a distance from the man.

Dren ran at max and swung at the stop sign in his hands the blade covered in black fire.

"Wear him down a bit," Magus called out to the others, "If you lot can hold him down long enough, I can attempt to enter his mind and see what the trouble is."

Max brought up the stop sign slightly, before letting it drop to the floor and side stepping. He laughed quickly as he grabbed his right hand and bent his right arm , letting his elbow drop on the man who was swinging his sword.

Smoke? What is going on over there? Umbra picked up speed, rounding the corner to see a black knight and some guy with a stop sign. She glanced at the black fire, then looked away from it. Black fire... Some kind of reality-altering power then. Umbra watched the sword fight begin, then heard Magus's order. "Setting something up then? Alright, I'll do this your way for now." She snuck behind the knight slowly, keeping her distance and waiting for the knight to retaliate before leaping into the fray; batons aren't always the best against armored opponents, so controlling his actions might be better. Plus I want to know what this guy's deal really is... Acting scared and then rampaging maniacally doesn't seem to fit here.

Magus snapped his fingers, a fireball appeared in his right hand, he grabbed it with both hands, and expanded it until it was the size of a small baseball cap, and a thin trail of smoke started to smolder out of it. Magus hurled the fireball at the rampaging swordsman, setting the area around him within 7 feet ablaze.

Dren took the elbow into his metal face mask and laughed. "You are a strong one" He said as he raised his shield and weighed his weapons. "Cameron doesn't let me out much" He said as he stabbed his sword deep into the pavement and drew a deep breath. The people watching felt a very quick feeling in their mind which withdrew Magus could track it back to Dren. "Max you are unusually pure, not much corruption in you" He said after he lifted his sword with renewed strength and took on a defensive stance and watched the buildings around him burn. As magus' fireball hit Dren the fire turned black near him and encircled him protectively.

Cameron's armour is completely changed and blackened, there are random spikes coming out of it he looks completely different then cameron.

Quickly, Umbra leaped back to dodge the fire. A little warning next time! She felt a sudden quickening feeling. I see it, an opening in his stance! Detaching her cloak (silently), she jumped forward as the subtle darkening resumed. Umbra aimed her baton for the knight's knees, swinging for where the plates parted. He isn't guarding his back right now, but he will be soon! (I really ought to think of a way out in these situations).

Umbra was trailing him, if imperfectly, so she assumes there aren't two men in knight armor running around. She seems not to have noticed the specifics the first time.

"You have no idea buddy, Every hear the phrase"Make a deal with the devil"?Max said with a quick chuckle as he backed off slightly, waiting for his foes next attack.Don't know who this guys is, but he's in for a hurtin..

"Clever," Magus thought aloud. Magus performed a complex series of gestures as he chanted, "Infernus deristerum aurum nehilizch." When he completed the ritual, he began moving his hands more systematically, directing ten beams of fire straight at the rampaging swordsmen, as they approached their target, the beams merged and become one, singularly powerful beam of green-white fire, it crashed against the shield as Magus maintained the beam.

As umbra jumped and hit Dren in the leg over the fire surrounding him the black fire leaped up and encircled her hand, unfortunately it still hit Dren, making him kneel slightly the fire brought forth the weaker moments of Umbra's life, and visions of temptation, as well as burning her. Dren grunted as the beam hit his shield. "What are the odds" He thought as the black veins of corruption that were spreading from where Dren was standing started wrapping over the man who Dren had killed's body.

Magus repeated the incantation a few times to strengthen the beam, breaking past the corrupted fire.

"Ah! Finally!," Magus exclaimed, "Looks like I'm breaking through!"

Umbra suppressed a scream of pain as she jerkily moved back, ripping off her right glove and dropping the baton; it clattered to the ground. Visions of her parents wasting away and Shinobi's bloody corpse swelled before her, interrupting her examination of her hand... as did the alluring shine of... Silver? What... "What the hell?"

Max took his chance while everyone was attacking and ran forward, delivering a massive round house kick to the preoccupied villan, his legs just about as thick as tree trunks."Think Fast"
