"So, Rachel... what exactly are we looking for? A person? A thing? What?" He raised his pistol and scanned the area.

"We're looking for a person. Didn't say much about him in the files, but he shouldn't be too hard to find." Rachel stood, looking as if she was ready to take questions. This shouldn't take long. We just need to get this guy, go back, teach this kid to stay in school or some shit, then everything should be okay.
"Sounds as good as it could get," Umbra commented. "Do you think we should split up?" she asked, looking around. "This city isn't small, and more time here means we're more likely to fail..." her tone darkened, "and I don't think I need to say what that means." In general or for us... as speculative as the latter is, I'd rather not dwell on it. Trying not to remember Shinobi's detailed discussions on THAT topic, Umbra shook her head, looking to the skyscraper Alex pointed out. Would that work for us right now?...

Minus sighed as he leapt back again, dodging the flame's at him, when he landed and they kept going towards him, he put out his left hand and sucked them up. He laughed a she thought of an idea.
"I remember being a great fan of you guys," he said to Jason, "I remember how you took down Fafnir, the father of superpowers." he pointed his Red and black arm towards Jason's underbelly, "Same attack should work twice no?" He said before a massive arrow made out of pure energy flew towards the Dragons underbelly, trying to find the weak point.

The Mayor looked at his watch, "Dammit... I better get news soon or the entire guard is getting demoted..." the man at the other side of the room could only nod.

"3... 2... 1... Move!" A man whispered into a speaker on his shoulder, as he said Move, he and ten other men burst from nearby buildings, all aiming rifles, pistols and a few snipers were taking position. "State your business!" he yelled to the group of people who had arrived in a helicopter. "Fire a warning shot" he said into his speaker, loud enough so the group could hear.
A sniper gave a quick nod and fired into the building behind them. It exploded into rubble almost instantly, "State. Your. Business!" he commanded again, not giving them time t answer the first time.

"3... 2... 1... Move!" "State. Your. Business" The man stated again, he wasn't joking around, each one of the heroes had a red dot on them, the dangerous looking ones had Two. The sniper abov them reloaded, the large clanging of the bullets being changed over resounded through the area as he awaited another response.
The guard looked at her, he raised his hand, the other soldiers around him all raised their guns to eye height, looking further down the scope, all being ready to fire at a single movement, noise, or anything peculiar coming from the group. "Aint no heroes here" The guard retorted, "Either you are a few years late, stupid, or dangerous, which one is it?"
Dren had been placing charges in dumpsters in alleyways around the city, most of them around the mayors office. Dren stripped his uniform and walked towards the outskirts of the city.
"You miss the situation here" The lead guard said, "We all have high velocity rounds pointed at you all. Each one is enough to kill you, we don't care if you have powers or not, these bullets and guns can and will kill you." he said, pointing towards Alex, "Now, say who you are looking for and why, or we put an extra hole in all of your heads." he threatened, placing his hand upon his head in a gun shape.

Darkfire snarled, a pillar of flames engulfing him before they dispersed again, showing Jason back in his human form. He wasn't unscathed though, on his left shoulder blood could be seen dripping out of a fresh wound. Jason clutched at the wound, and looked at Minus with a look that could only be described as pure contempt.
"Wow... I though changing back would save me from injury, but I guess I was wrong. Ready to continue?" Jason asked, smiling as he motioned for Minus to attack again.
Jason wasn't going to risk putting on his mask again, instead he would try fighting without it. Jason would simply have to rely on his own skills instead of Darkfire's. A constant laugh echoed in the back of his mind, but he tried ignoring it and focusing on the matter at hand.
It stopped, but there is a crap-load of snow out there... and I still have to walk home from school every day in it...
Rachel raised her hands and looked at Alex. "Alex, shut up." She said. She slowly turned to look a the men with rifles. "We're here from a group of heroes called the Renegades, headed by a hero named Paragon. We came here to find someone to take us back twenty years to stop Minus. I don't know the heroes name, but we have a plan, and it involves him or her." She said coldly. Great, they didn't know we were coming... I just hope this doesn't go south...
Hivemind kept his pistol in plain sight. Icily staring at the soldiers and looking over at Rachel. He took a step back and holstered his gun. "Alex... please try and be careful what you say around military people. They're not very good at joking."
It is assumed dren wears clothing under his armour
Dren clicked the explosives and was disappointed as only two buildings exploded. He walked to the dumpster where his armour was hidden and took the large pack and started heading towards a hotel. Where the hell are the others he wondered.
"Sorry Jason." Came a voice. "I can't let you do that." A bright surge of golden energy grabbed Jason around his waist, and lifted him up into the air. Oliver walked beside him, standing in a battle stance. He turned his head to him and said "Go find the others. I can handle things from here. Goodbye Jason." The energy flung Jason into the air, flying miles from the battle from the force of the throw.
Oliver turned to Minus and lifted his fists. "You've already lost, Minus. Kicking your ass is just gravy."

Minus chuckled quietly to himself. "I Doubt I have lost. I assume the Renegades are doing something sneaky, or waiting until I am too tired to properly fight, but whatever, either way, today will be your last day" he said.
He raised his left hand towards Oliver, and started walking forwards, "Just accept it". He tried his best to not wince with each step, his feet were really hurting, and he didn't want to use his right arm, it protested with each movement.

The leader looked at him so he stopped. "Good luck finding out who we are before you find out, we had guns, you don't. We get first." he raised his fist into the air, and then opened his fist, showing a flat palm. The soldiers turned around and ran towards a nearby building, "You folks best be with us, Minus owns here, they should be here to chec out your helicopter soon" the leader said as he jumped into the building.
Ashe heard a soft whumping noise of helicopter getting closer, "We better" he called out as he ran for the door. He leapt through it and ran into the blank room. "The hell?" he asked himself before a guard came out of the wall, "Dude, hurry up, its a hologram, you guys get found so do we, hurry!" he yelled as his head went back into the wall.
Ashe was a little confused, but decided to trust him. Running straight through the wall felt weird, he still expected to smack his face against something, but nothing met him. He stumbled into a dank and dark passageway.
"Quickly. Head down, you will make it to our head quarters." he commanded towards Ashe, he wasted no time in moving down the stairs, not really wanting to find Minus now.
