I didn't really like Lowlife in Half Life 2 Episode 1.
It tried too hard to be Ravenholm, and failed at it.

For me its the Library. All the Halo games had bad infamous levels but this was the first.
Also, the water temple, in every Zelda game its ever been in. It sucks.

I loved the library, on legendary at least, just grab the shotgun and try to reload fast enough tons of fun
worst level is that stupid yellow cave thing from half life 2 ep 2 boring to look at boring to play same can be said for ravenholm it just doesn't fit with the game I think.

The second half of Sniper Flash back on Veteran from COD4 where you're being swarmed at all sides, running away. And just when you get the Rhythm, you have to drag Captain McMillan around. And then the end. The end keeps me up at night. Just sitting on that stupid hill, shooting those stupid Russians. It's the one reason I avoided Veteran...
Same, except Hardened instead of veteran and I didn't exactly avoid it, I just wasn't able to complete it, though I was able to complete all the levels after it.

The last two missions of Far Cry. Starting off on top of a waterfall, having to kill a Trigen with your last remaining bullets, then swimming through Land of the Trigens with no bullets, all to get to some bastard cavern stuffed full of rocket-launching Trigens, cross the cavern, then easiest boss of all time.

The fourth mission, first Tour of Duty in X-Wing. Protect the Korolev. I don't know how many attempts it took me to complete that mission; but after that, blowing up the Death Star was a piece of womp rat piss.

"Creek" on Call of Duty 4. Here's the strategy you guys. CAMP THE FUCKING CAVE AND DON'T MOVE!!!
I feel sorry for anyone on xbox that actually paided for that biased dog turd excuse of a map. If you ever end up on the wrong side its better to just run around in circles then do anything you'll get as many kills that way.

As for my least favourate level it would have to be meat circus in psychonauts, RAGE wouldn't even being to describe how that level made me feel but I'll use it anyway otherwise I'll end up with a ban.

*newbie alert*

Ah gosh I would have to agree about Fire Emblem. I am totally addicted to Radiant Dawn, and I love everything about the game, but now that I've had the brilliant idea of starting a playthrough on Difficult (read: Impossible) mode I fear that I now hate every single chapter of that game. But one that I hate even on normal mode, is the Desert Chapter in which you are stuck with the entire fail brigade (chapter 4-3). I almost cried playing it on normal mode. I might just cut myself when I get to it (if ever) on difficult mode. Don't get me started on the one in which you have to protect Micaiah from Ike and his team, using a bunch of underleveled wussies. *kills*

Dunno if it counts, but in Mario Kart Wii I hate Coconut Mall. And DS Peach Garden. And whomever picks one of these two more than once (had to race through DS Peach Garden four times in a row last night. I wanted to strangle the moron with my Wiimote.)

Oh my god, years ago, that frigging Air Castle bit on Phantasy Star IV. Those Xe-A-Thoul chumps whupped me for a couple of solid weeks before I managed to get through it.

I have two of them personally. Stage 8 or 9, or whatever it is in the Original Contra, the one where you fight Frankenstein's monster. I can't f'ing beat that level!!! I'm 20 years old and a veteran of the toughest 2D games (Contra 4 I'm looking at you) but for some reason that level cleans my clock I never get to the boss fight with enough hearts and health to beat it.

The other is in my favorite game for the 360, Gears of War, that level where your pinned down in the fountain and you have all the bad guys coming at you. I can beat the entire game on Insane, except that...I always die there like 8 times even when I'm playing with a partner. Its not that tough, other people blow through it. I just suck.

The required sneaky bollocks before you get to the bandit camp in Fable. That took me forever when I first tried it.

My next least favorite level is Taris for KotOR. It's too long for it's own good. But the begining levels for most Rpgs usually are annoying. Except mabye Mass Effect.

Beat me to it. 50 grenades at once and 1 hit almost kill bullets are NOT ENJOYABLE. Especially if you are being swarmed by terrorists.

The water temple in Ocarina(sp?) of Time. To this day, even though I can solve it in one go, that place haunts me.

Probably because I first tried it when I was about 9, and had no idea what was going on.
lol same i could never get the water to the very top....

Half-Life 2: Episode Two- The Antlion Grub cave. This is the most painfully boring level ever. I don't know who thought it would be funny to put a samey cave that drags on forever in episode 2 but whoever it is they should be rifled. Perhaps it was only really bad because I was trying to get the kill every grub achievement, only to realise right at the end I had missed 3. I will never try it again.

Also, the driving level in gears of war, and the helicopter level in CoD4

Quick question - how many of you find that your most hated level is in (one of) your favourite games?
Because bad levels in good games are more noticable. If you're playing a particularly crap level in a bad game you try to erase your memory of it all together. If you play a bad level in a good game you will remember it as the only bad spot in an otherwise great game
