For me its Whitney and her freaking Miltank. I don't know if its just me but whenever I fought her both in Gold and Soul Silver Miltank did nothing but Stomp which caused flinching more then half the time and Attract which took care of anytime Stomp didn't work. Top this off with how if Miltank got down to 1/3 of its health or less she uses a super potion makes me want to curb stomp her until it stops being funny. Which it wouldn't.

I never had difficulty with her. I always raise a fighting type, usually a machop, and trade it with a friend when it evolves. I one shot that cow.

I don't like bug or poison type gyms.

You stole mine. Miltank was such a terrible Pokemon to have to deal with.

I also never liked Morty from Ecruteak City. He was always pretty difficult for me to beat. When I played SoulSilver, he actually posed more of a threat than Whitney. O_O

Claire, because every gym leader was incredibly easy up until her.
I had no ice move users, so it took forever.

I always hated Brock because I loved picking the fire type and it made fighting him and his gym members very difficult

Fucking Whitney, man...

Of course, Price was pretty damn annoying, too. Most of his team has something that can easily kill most Fire-Types, so using your Typhlosion is a risk.

I would say brock in Special Yellow Pikachu Edition way back in the 90's because it was so hard getting pass him with the basic few pokemon you caught with pikachu.

Hmmm.

Probably Fantina.
Most of her Pokemon were easy to take out.
Her Mismagnus was difficult but....her freaking Duskull was a nightmare.
It would spam Shadow Sneak and that Ghost move that Causes Burns.

Whitney was annoying, but I'd have to say Brock. I fucking loved Charmander, which made beating him a *****. And being a little kid at the time, I never thought to simply capture a bug type to beat him, instead grinding for hours to beat him through sheer force. This helped me later due to the high level early on, but damn if he didn't piss me off.

Clair, because out of all the gym leaders I have fought she was the only one who outright refused to give me my badge claiming I didn't earn it. Fuck you *****! I kicked your ass, now give me my god damn badge already!

Oh god I did this. Looking back a strategy of scratch/scratch/potion/scratch was always going to be terrible.

None ive only played to up to ruby/sapphire but i thought none of the leaders were hard abiet i typicaly grinded or chose the fire/water starter. Admit it all the grass starters suck pretty much and grass is typicaly the first type you can catch

Whitney is pretty rough; I didn't have any problems with Morty because I'd bred an Espeon (from Pearl) with Shadow Ball that just tore through him.

Roark in DPPt was pretty hard if you picked Chimchar to start, because the only other Pokemon you'd catch all had Normal-type moves, and Rock Smash is mediocre at best. His Cranidos was pretty beastly considering he was the FIRST gym leader in the game. On the other hand, if you have Chimchar up to Monferno, it'll know Mach Punch which makes his gym cake.

Honorable mention goes to Jasmine. If you don't have a good Fire-type (like you missed catching Vulpix/Growlithe) her Steelix will DOMINATE you.

If we're counting E4/Champions, though, the one I've always had the most trouble with was Cynthia. If you don't have a good ice attacker her Garchomp will slaughter you and her Milotic is obscenely tanky.

i didn't like gold's ghost gym, because i always get an abra, and when it evolves at 16, it one hits everything in the gym.

Umm..pretty much no one =/ All I ever do in Pokemon games, its powerlevel my starter pokemon, so by the time I reach the Elite Four, I have a lvl 60 or something pokemon plus my ragtag team which, which I then lvl up through Exp. Share.

But..ehh, I guess the water/ice gym leader at the end of Ruby/Sapphire, since I always choose Blaziken.

Chuck (cystal), falkner and sabrina (soulsilver). Falkner was the only gym leader i had to use healing items on and sabrina just ohko'ed everything.

Then lets not forget how after you beat her she cries so you walk away only to be stopped 3 steps later to be told that she cries when she losses. I KNOW THAT! THE ***** IS CRYING RIGHT NOW! So then you can walk back to her and get the badge. Whats the point of that, character development? Your never gonna talk to her or even go in that gym again so what is the point of that? Also on a side note is it just because Ive been playing Diamond version with a team of level 85 and up pokemon so Ive forgotten how hard it is to have low level pokemon is is soul silver actually more challenging then it used to be?

Fuck you. Fuck you and your damned Steelix that rapes my Typhlosion every damned time I go through there, regardless of how many times I grind it to death.
You make Whitney, Clair, Giovvani, Wattson, and Flannery a pleasure to go up against.

Don't bother quoting me unless you are up for conversation and can type more than two sentences at a time. None of this "lol u suk" shit.
