And for off-topic, I'd really love to see you justify your love for FFX. The only acceptable answer is "I'm Japanese and nothing I do makes sense to the rest of the world anyway".
Please excuse me going off-topic.
Personally I loved FFX. I lack the eyes, hair, skin and overall genetic makeup of a Japanese person, being not Japanese.
I found the story amusing and reasonably good, if a little "My god we jumbled all the pages what goes where?!". Yes, it was your typical "After ten years the evil has returned, go kill it" and most of the plot twists were visible from about an hour before, but it's a story skeleton that works.
Tidus I couldn't give a rat's hairy buttocks about, and I mostly ignored him and taught Yuna how to summon giant scary dogs/dragons/ponies/bugs that ate every living thing. And taught Auron how to flay shit with his giant bloody sword. Granted, I used Tidus as the third member of the party, but that's 'cause he had a sword. And sadly, as with most RPGs, sword trumps all other melee, staff trumps all other magic - unless you work at it.
Surprisingly, the sphere grid didn't bother me much. It was something new, I'd not seen it before; it was nice 'cause I could actually see what I was aiming at. Whether it was actually so or not, it felt more hands-on to me than "here are your new stats, congratulations you're a level bigger." I know most people didn't like the sphere grid, but hey. I did.
I played the game for hours, spending ages earning the celestial weapons. What can I say, I enjoy collecting stuff.
I did find the game fun. Your personal opinion is your own, and my opinion is mine. If you're going to sit here and tell us in detail about how our opinion is wrong, then I think you can imagine what I'm going to tell you to do with your details.
Consider my love of the game justified. And I do believe that this is an acceptable answer.

I've already mentioned that I dun like Vaan... But special mention must be made of any twit that makes all of the stupid, irresponsible choices that they should really no better than to go for.
