Least Satisfying Video Game Ending

I'm surprised no one seems to have mentioned Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles yet. I didn't like the ending, it wasn't satisfying.

I mean really, the final boss was hard. Then you kill him and the game feels like it says, "You rid the world of Miasma, so what?"

I have to agree with noMoreSanity, Halos ending was dissapionting. I was hoping he would Actually land on a planet or something. Not make a huge cliffhanger that will most likely be only in books.

Nobody has mentioned Halo 2 yet? That's a surprise. I guess it's because now that 3 is out, it's not as big a deal...

Not entirely sure why people hate cliffhanger endings. Fair enough if its for the first game in a series and the developers don't know if they are going to make a sequel or not then the hatred is justified, but it was pretty obvious that halo was going to be a trilogy. Halo 2 ending with something along the lines of u just decimating the covenant would seem like a let down as they wouldn't appear as any type of threat. The way they left it is even tho they are somewhat crippled they are still very much a threat as they are right on earths doorstep. Just my opinion of it anyway.

I'm pretty sure it was damn obvious that AC2 would be made so I didn't mind the cliffhanger ending, same with Prince of Persia, I did not see that coming. I can appreciate the set up for the sequel, I think it will make AC2 more satisfying.

Halo 3's ending was annoying, no closure at all.

The end of Half-Life. Remember, it was years before we knew Mr. Freemans real fate and, presumably, there wasn't a Half-Life 2 on the horizon. That ending was a very big "F you."

Also, the end of HL2Ep2 was okay... if Valve could put out an EPISODE in the length of time it takes any other developer to put out an ENTIRE GAME. But since they are incapable of that, I have to wait years and years to find out what happens next. Also, Valve, did you have to kill him? really why would you do that to [spoiler deleted]? It was bad enough to almost kill [spoiler deleted]?

just when youd think that you will get FINALY a decent boss who doesnt die with one headshot, you just shoot him....
i mean, atleast a small duel would have been fitting but nooooo, let you have a cheap shot at him and leave you standing on your tracks waiting for new DLC

alot of bad endings available. but i still hate FFIX for killing Vivi at the end without so much as a cutscene. At least FFX had an overdramatic airship leap.

Even as an FFX/FFX-2 fangirl, I have to say the ending to FFX-2 was rather crap. I understand the need to "fanservice" us and go "oh btw tidus isn't REALLY gone, here, have him back so him and yuna can live happily ever after".. and maybe seeing this happen will remind me that maybe, just maybe, bringing Aeris back would have felt just as weak.. but yeah.. that was pretty lame.

Well, considering the Teaser at the end of FFX, and the various events and remenices in FF X-2, I kinda saw it comming.
