Left 4 Dead was really cool. I always wanted a zombie game that felt like you were running and shooting the whole time and I basically got that. I've always wanted a zombie game to happen in daylight (face it, would you really want to go outside and confront all those zombies.. when you have to do it in total darkness), so here's my chance.

So I'm looking forward to L4D2. I'll probably get it when it comes out, or soon after.

Personally i loved L4D (even though i'm a ps3 guy)
i think they could either make it really awesome or really bad. it's not going to be inbetween.

Ok...

L4D WILL be getting new content. I agree with people that it's a bit late, but we ARE getting a new campaign (joining the first to the second), we have had a new mode and a new campaign already, the usermods are starting to pour forth. TF2 has been getting new content, yes. But how long has that been out for compared to L4D?

"I want Ep 3/It's to early for a sequel"... When it dropped at E3, there was a shitstorm because people wanted to know why they weren't doing Ep 3, as it's been on the list longer. The answer? Valve employees work on projects that they want to work on. Aside from the core who are developing Ep 3, the majority of "free agents" (those who can work on little sections of any projects) in the company wanted to do L4D2.

"It should have been an add-on". If it was possible, it would have happened. There is no Melee slot on L4D, so you would have lost all the Melee weapons. On top of which, I believe this is set after L4D, which is why the Charger and the Spitter have evolved.

They have said that there will be cross-compatibility for the games, what level that will take I don't know, but I intend to find out. Roll on November.

Nope, I'm not bothering with a $50.00 expansion pack :)
It's not an expansion pack.

It has double the weapons as the original
It has more maps than the original.
It has 4 new characters
It has 3 new Special infected. A fourth one might come at release.
It has more things that you can use.

It's bigger than L4D in every way. It has more content than L4D does.
It can't be an expansion pack. It's a full blown sequel.

For me, I'll get it. But I'll try to find the cheapest place to buy it from.

It looks good but I don't want it on the 360 because Valve games (in my experience) have always been better on the PC because of free, regular updates and better servers.

My PC however, may not be good enough to handle it. It can handle L4D but if L4D2 has anything major updated in terms of specs then I'm not sure it will handle it as well.

Having two black people playable in a game set in New Orleans is racist?

Not really...

Only two games have me gotten me excited about their release, and Left 4 Dead 2 isn't one of them.

I'm looking forward to it though, and I reckon it'll be a decent game, but I'm not really excited about it.

It's not a sequel because all of the content you listed there was content they had promised and announced for Left 4 Dead 1 prior to it's release, but it has not come out, and will not come out. They insisted they wanted to do Team Fortress 2 like support, and they have not so I can't consider it a sequel. I don't want to hear "Well you can't see the future, so how do you know support will end" because they're already moving on to a sequel with improved graphics, AI and such and the content is already put in another game. They promised content and didn't follow through, and instead are releasing a $50.00 expansion pack.

Promised content:

I'm not buying it, I don't expect Valve to release L4D2 for free, I don't want them to release it for free, but I'm not buying what they called "Team Fortress 2 like support" for 50 bucks. I have other games on my list that aren't the extras that were meant for another game.

You can buy what you want, I was stating what I felt, and I feel that Left 4 Dead 2 is a $50.00 expansion pack that I can do without. If you don't agree with me, that's fine, I have no problem you spending your money on what you want, but it's not going to change my opinion on it.

No, I don't really like the first one. I'm actually kind of disappointed that I bought it.

That kind of reasoning is wrong.

L4D2 have 25 maps, L4D have 20, L4d2 have 20 weapons or 30, L4D had like 5 and the rest where use able. L4D2 have 3 new infected and might get a fourth one. So we are looking on double the amount of infected.

Expansions don't add more stuff than what the first game have.

Expansion are like Half-Life Opposing Force, Half-Life Blue Shift, Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, Warcraft 3 The Frozen throne and many more.

They all have one thing in common. None of them had a longer SP game or gave you more total in terms of maps, weapons and units. Most just gave you a few new things to play around with.

Yes I know they promised content but this was just too much for it to be a patch. Oh and TF2 have a total of 25 maps, but it started on 6 and like 3-4 are user made and L4D2 have a total of 25 new maps. Just to give you an idea on how much content it is. Then we have those 20 new weapons too. Unless that is 30 new.

It's a Sequel, get over it.
