Ironically, a zombie assault shouldn't be mindless. It should be a logistcal nightmare crossed with riot like crowd management.

I thought the same but the AI director spawns enemies not at random nor at any specific location so this could add a lot of tactics to the game at least on a superficial level

but Im hoping the zombie AI itself is threatening and violent
from what Ive watched tho They look very aggressive and relentless.

one thing that did spoil it a bit where the checkpoint respawns
It might withdraw from the tension if your friends are just given a
respawn every 10 mins

i think left for dead is going to be a good game, i mean the concept looks like so much fun, but the whole zombies overpowering thing is a little ridiculous.

I dont wanna go totally stoner here... But has anyone else been watching this game and just thinking about how fun it MIGHT be if you were... you know... high? I mean... Theres one point... dont die, do whatever you can to not die... and that sounds incredible. I mean really, im not a stoner THAT bad, but if your high and zombies are flooding into a room, doesnt it sound awesome to dive in front of them with your shotgun, and take down a couple before they kill you, effectively giving your friends time to react and live!?

left-4-dead is awesome, but it sucks that they announced its not gunna be for ps3, so they're gunna force me to get a gold xbox-live account, or get a VERY new PC.

They also said the Orange Box wasn't gonna be on the Ps3. Valve may hate the Ps3, but EA do not.

EA might hate the Ps3, but EA does not hate money.

It runs on ye olde source engine and I'm certain you won't need a super PC for it.

my computer is beige, not black, but beige, its from the late 90's

the ps3 version was awesome, and my pc won't even run youtube, YOUTUBE, and even flash is slow on my pc

i know, my parents picked one up(i'm 13 as iv'e said before), but it was from a frigging pawn shop, and it was filled to the brim with viruses and spyware, the only way i can use the internet is the crappy msn browser. it was so bad that we kept using or beige pc, i wanted to get a laptop for my birthday but it was too much money.

I personally don't get this game. Don't get me wrong, have fun with it when you get it, but I just can't see the hype with this game. Everyone's saying it's going to be so awesome and the best and all this other stuff, but I just see a game with four people shooting zombies. Of course, you could break any game down to it's simplest form, and there's nothing wrong with shooting zombies, but I just don't see what's so great about this game.

We'll have to wait and see.

Well, CS is just a game about some guys trying to set off a bomb (usually) and some other guys trying to stop them. Multiplayer gaming is not about complexity. According to Valve, they're trying to do for Co-op multiplayer what their other games do for competitive multiplayer. People focus a lot on the zombie player vs. human player interaction but really, I think that's mostly an afterthought. I think (hope) the game will be mostly about people playing together against the Director. The whole scaling difficulty concept sounds a little fishy, these things are rarely as advanced as developers claim them to be. However, Valve have not screwed anything up royally in my book yet, so I remain positive about the concept.
