being purely pragmatic, what leftovers? it's 2013 i would hope we can all judge a portion of food by now
although i will admit to having cooked large pieces of lamb and letting them chill in the fridge for sandwedges later
but i wouldn't consider that leftovers as much as being thermally efficient with my food preparation
It's all a matter of technicalities (and you gotta love the minutia). Any food left for later consumption after a portion has been eaten is a "leftover". Actually, preparing food in batches for future dining is a good idea. Saves in both cost and time.
OT: A good crock-pot based stew. Make a huge amount and whittle away at it over the course of a week. Not only does it retain its wonderful nature, proper storage means it never falls in quality.
And, just to be "that guy", cold pizza is an affront unto civilization and god. If it isn't eaten while still hot the first-time around, it should be dumped. Preferably in a certified toxic-waste suitable receptacle.
