I'm very excited. Obviously I was excited before, but I think they've taken it in exactly the direction it needs to go - it feels different and yet the same to the right amount. It's the same world, except it's developed so much that there's a lot left to discover. Bending is familiar, except now there's metalbending, pro-bending, and (soon) anti-bending martial arts. The music is still very similar at times, but it's taken on new dimensions and motifs. The characters are all new, but the style of dialogue is recognizable. The title sequence... well, duh. And the animation is good as always, very expressive - although there are a few protracted moments where Korra suffers from Voldemort Nose Syndrome (the last shot of Episode 2).

Gotta say, the music is one of the things I was looking forward to the most, I absolutely loved the music from the original series. And they still manage to knock my socks off a few minutes in. The voice acting is top-notch as well - Steve Blum and JK Simmons, although you can barely tell it's Simmons, unless you're paying attention when he gets angry.

I'm super excited about it, and Saturday can't come fast enough for me. Yeah I know I could find the leaked episodes, but I don't want to.

but if i do not find out what happened to zuko's mom i am going to lose it. ><
Seriously! They made a big damn deal about it towards the end of the original series, and didn't even mention what happened.

Some answers about that would be really really really awesome.
They haven't forgotten about it. On that note, I'm getting a good feeling that unanswered questions from the original series, and what happened between that time and the current series, is going to play some part in the story - should be fun.

As I recall they said we would get an answer through not necessarily in the show itself.

Katara almost says what happened in the first episode, but gets cut-off. I was so pissed.

I think it looks really good. I love the look of the city and the how much technology has advanced since the war ended. The only thing that disappoints me is not getting to see old Sokka.

I've already seen it and I really like it. Like it's been said by others, the hardest part to get over will be accepting the fact that all the old characters are gone, and we have to get used to these new characters, but that's okay because Korra's already grown on me.

My wife and I love the original series, and we're quite pleased with what we've seen. Two episodes is hardly enough time to really get to know the characters though. I really like the steam punk 20s atmospherce so far.
