I'm very excited. Obviously I was excited before, but I think they've taken it in exactly the direction it needs to go - it feels different and yet the same to the right amount. It's the same world, except it's developed so much that there's a lot left to discover. Bending is familiar, except now there's metalbending, pro-bending, and (soon) anti-bending martial arts. The music is still very similar at times, but it's taken on new dimensions and motifs. The characters are all new, but the style of dialogue is recognizable. The title sequence... well, duh. And the animation is good as always, very expressive - although there are a few protracted moments where Korra suffers from Voldemort Nose Syndrome (the last shot of Episode 2).
Gotta say, the music is one of the things I was looking forward to the most, I absolutely loved the music from the original series. And they still manage to knock my socks off a few minutes in. The voice acting is top-notch as well - Steve Blum and JK Simmons, although you can barely tell it's Simmons, unless you're paying attention when he gets angry.

I'm super excited about it, and Saturday can't come fast enough for me. Yeah I know I could find the leaked episodes, but I don't want to.

i am enjoying the new animation style and the music is pretty damn good.
but if i do not find out what happened to zuko's mom i am going to lose it. ><
Seriously! They made a big damn deal about it towards the end of the original series, and didn't even mention what happened.
Some answers about that would be really really
really awesome.
They haven't forgotten about it. On that note, I'm getting a good feeling that unanswered questions from the original series, and what happened between that time and the current series, is going to play some part in the story - should be fun.
