I recently watched the Legend of Zelda movie "The Hero of Time", and as a Legend of Zelda fan I was horribly embarrassed. In case you couldnt tell by the title, the film is supposed to be about the events of "the ocarina of time". But the filmmakers completely missed the point of the story. I dont want to talk about what happens in the film because this is filth that needs to be seen to believe.

Even to somebody that knows nothing about the series, this film would offend them. Im talking about horrible acting, horrible writing, and horrible directing. Almost every scene in this piece of garbage was filmed in front of a green screen.

I'm sure that the makers were probably going for a re-imagining of the story. But does one of the greatest video game stories ever told need to be reworked. Its supposed to be created by the fans, but I find that hard to believe because no fan would want to make this. I starting to think that they have not even played the game, it feels like all they did was glance at the ocarina of times wikipedia page once.

Im getting a little too worked up now. I was only able to watch the first 70 minutes, but just couldnt see it through to the end.

Has anyone else seen this thing, and if you feel intrigued you can easily find it online.

It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad for a fan made movie. And I have to admit, the shopkeeper at the 26 minute mark is somewhat amusing.

He's talking about the fan film, guys. The one that no one knows exists because they've been saying it would be made for like the past decade. It is completely different from IGN's April Fool's joke a few years back.

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention during finals week. I didn't really need to pass these classes.

At first I was thinking this would be the worst thing to ever be recorded as a movie, but it wasn't that bad. It's better than Uwe Boll - that's for sure.

They did spend a lot of time in front of a blue screen, and in some of those parts they weren't edited right. The story was a bit mixed up, but I forgive that since there was no way of putting all that story into a little under two hours.

Costumes and weapons were a bit weird and hard to get used to (the Master Sword look really bad) and a few of the actors looked as to be wearing normal clothes... Heh. Yous should see the Goron. That was hilarious.

Acting isn't great, but this is a fan film. I take it as it is: a low budget fan film. And to tell you the truth, I thought that the ending was pretty great (from the start of the fight with Ganondorf until the end of the movie).
