LEGO Indiana Jones follows the adventures of the first 3 movie in LEGO form (duh). This game was made pretty much because of the success of the LEGO Star Wars franchise and if you ask me, LIJ doesn't "stack up" to LSW 1 or 2 but is still a pretty good game. When I was playing through Raiders, I kinda got bored and started to question when is this gonna end. I pressed on anyway and made it through that part of the game which is kinda perplexing because my reaction to the game was about the same as my reaction to the actual movie. Don't get me wrong, Raiders is a good movie but it isn't as good as Last Crusade.

Then I played through Temple of Doom, slightly boring but it was fun. After I played that part of the game, I watched Temple of Doom because unlike everybody else, the only Indy films I've seen before getting this game were Raiders and Crystal Skull, and let's get one thing strait, I loved Crystal Skull because unlike every other Indy fan, I go to movies to watch and be entertained, I don't compare the movie to the previous movies in the series (if in a series) and nitpick how it isn't like the others and get pissed. Anyway, Temple of Doom was awesome, great movie. LEGO adaption in the game, decent.

And then there's the Last Crusade, for this one I decided to watch the movie first and I f*****g loved it. Best of the 4 Indy movies. And I had fun playing through the last part of the game. I was, however, disappointed with this part of the game since it didn't let you play through the opening sequence in the movie where they had a young Indiana Jones, but whatever. There are those crazy technical glitches that don't really affect game play but is still an eyesore.

One thing I noticed about this game is that there are similarities between this game and the recent Grand Theft Auto games. You can use any of the vehicles that in the area and like GTA 4, the motorcycle is the most fun to use. When you defeat an enemy that uses a weapon (i.e. pistol, shotgun, sword, bazooka) you can pick it up and use it against your enemies until you throw it, run out of ammo, or pick up something else. That's not the case when you create a character that uses the sword, guns, etc. You can ALWAYS use the damn thing.

All and all, LEGO Indiana Jones is a good adventure game. Enough to distract Wii owners from Super Smash Bros. Brawl but not enoughI guess how you react when watching the movies affect how much fun you had playing the game. Maybe that's why I love LEGO Star Wars more than this game. If they made a sequel that allows you to play through Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and some of the Young Indiana Jones episodes, I'd buy it. At the title screen of this game, there is a preview for LEGO Batman, I'm getting that game when it comes out, no question.

I haven't purchased it yet, seeing as since it's summer, and I'm unemployed at the moment, all I do is sit around doing nothing. I played and liked both the Lego Star Wars games, and Lego Indiana Jones seems to be more of the same. I hope they can do justice to the series that is Indiana Jones.

Thanks for the review, I was wondering whether this would be worth getting or not.
I might just give it a rental.

i dont understand why everyone have such a big deal with alien, in the raiders, it looked like they where looking for allience Arch, or whatever is written in english, in the last cruzade it looked like they where looking for the cup that Jesus used in the last dinner, they found it.

in the crystal skull it looked that they where looking for aliens and all that, they found it, also, one of the famous topics related to the 40, where the nazis searching for paranormal stuff, in the 50´s the targets where the russians, the witch hunting of comunists, and aliens, Indiana just adapted to the times to fit in the time loop, for say it someway.

the english isnt my native languaje so is really dificult to me say the thing like they are suposed to.

The game does look like lots of fun will have to bribe a friend who has it to let me play.

On a side point i didnt hate the Indy film it was really good, just silly in places and no Pat Roach (let see if anyone knows who he played in all three previous movies?)

And besides....Harrison Ford needed to get Calista Flockheart in the movie somewhere didnt he!

Temple of Doom tends to suffer somewhat from one of the same problems as the movie. Basically, that the parts inside the temple start to feel a bit samey after a while. After a while, I was seriously wondering just where the hell I was. Lava...check. Rock walls....check. Thugges....Check. Just like the last 27 rooms.

I go to Indy movies and the like to be entertained. That's why I didn't like Crystal skull. It annoyed me and bored me to shit at points. Despite some good stuff, in the end, it felt like a bad rip-off of an Indiana jones movie......starring harrison ford.

Um...*SPOILER*
There is a level where you play as young Indy, you just have to unlock it.

How the fuck do you do that? I have the Wii version, and it obviously wasn't in Story Mode.
