Damn, that's deep, ive never thought of it that way
5 isn't a button, its the state you are in when you are not pressing any directional buttons,456 would probably translate to "press back,go to neutral stance, press forward",whereas 46 would be"press back, then inmediatly press forward"
456 would mean something like press back, stand still for a bit, then press forward
I think 5 is only used if the combo expects you to sit still for a bit to do a standing attack or something,46 inputs do not include 5 because there is not enough time between the 4 and the 6 for a 5

Damn,i'm confused

That actually helped me. Thanks!

But if there isn't enough time between the 4 and 6 for the 5 why is there enough for the 123 bit?

Now I'm confusing myseelf...
After some quick testing with the Fafnrir followup in GGAC+,the game can read 41236 as 46 if you cant do a 41236 at the moment but you can do a 46
46 and 41236 are basically the same motion, hands wise(going from back to forward),the difference is that 46 is pretty straightforward, while 41236 requires you to press the lower directional buttons(123)on your way to 6
I hope you understood that,it wasn't as clear as in my head, and it was pretty confusing in my head

I rented it for a bit as I thought that it's something to pass the time.

Damn was I wrong. I gamed more on this game than I've ever done on my PS3 for a while. Such a fun game, even though I massively suck at fighters. Pity I had to return it before I started the story though. :-(

You can go pretty deep into the game like all good fighting games but this one is very accessible. If you do face a decent player who knows their character well you will get destroyed as you would expect. A more skilled player will triumph over a lesser skilled one the majority of the time.
That's a big problem for me. I don't wanna get it right now but if I don't I'm going to get destroyed so badly by the people that have had months of practice.
I really wouldnt worry about that I often get fighting games late and get destroyed but I still have fun but just because you dont get it now dosent mean you will never have a chance if you get it later its just practice really and P4A has been out in Japan and America for ages anyway so if you face one of those people who have been playing and practicing for months you will probably lose just as hard whether you buy the game now or in a few weeks/months time.

Play to win when you play but dont get obsessed over it as long as you have fun it dosent matter if you have to win to have fun then I wouldnt get a competitive game unless you are going to spend a stupid amount of time practicing.

Oh and if it is your first fighting game expect to lose way more than you win thats just how it goes until you get your fundamentals down such as spacing and blocking, execution etc you will likely be destroyed even by people spamming simple moves on occasion because you simply dont know how to react or punish the move. The genre is great fun imo but its not easy to get into it does take effort most people go in spam a couple of moves they found lose cant figure out why and quit, blaming others for their loss.

If you dont have fun when playing you are unlikely to stick with it and thus improve, I remember when I was learning Soul Calibur I got destroyed by my friend 99-1 (it was first to 99 btw) it took me months to actually get to his level of play but it was very rewarding to do so.
