Man, those goblins are tricky bastards.

That diplomat certainly was strange though. Do they usually do stuff like that?
Yes, humans are weird when it comes to diplomacy. They will eventually try to send you a diplomat, however this diplomat is always their law-givers (which in some cases can be demons). Law-givers are incredibly important to the humans so using them as diplomats with no protection is bizarre. They are actually a huge liability becuase of this. It is very easy for a human diplomat to be killed whilst trying to visit your fort and this will make the humans incredibly pissed. It could very easily push you into war with them.

So you want to try and get the diplomat inside safely. Once you do that, the diplomat meets with your leader and basically does nothing. They just compliment your fort and then walk away. It's very weird. Presumably Toady intends to let you form trade agreements with them like you can with dwarves, but who knows when that will come into play.

It seems like two steps forward keep getting made, then you get pushed back four or five. I'm just waiting for that bug to stop freaking out about the water and go batshit crazy on everything.

It'd be entertaining if it went after the goblins, though.

I was browsing through Websters the other day, and came across the word "Fuck." The word directly after, as you can well imagine, was "Fucktarded;" adjacent to the colon was a square smiley face you are no doubt familiar with.

Oh, its wonderful! I just was worried Reveredtour wouldn't return to its goblin covered, sealed in heck hole. It's good to be home!

Oh noes, I died in my first public appearance. Oh well, such is DF. I'd like to join the redwarfing queue, maybe under the name Twizz or something.

To the next level of nobility, which would mean Reveredtour becomes a county. Or at least, that's what should happen. The goblins may interfere with this. We shall see!
