Hunchback of Notre Dame? Esmeralda is betrayed and gets hanged, and Quasimodo kills the betrayer, and then himself.
Little Mermaid? Prince Eric marries someone else, and Ariel chooses to die rather than to kill his bride and steal him for herself.

The moral of Beauty and the Beast is that Stockholme Syndrome is totally awesome.

Hate to break it to those of you who grew up with Final Fantasys as I did but Squall (FFVIII) is dead, he died at the end of disc one.

This theory explains so many things that raised red flags in my mind at the time. Squall has no wound despite being pretty much heartshot by a fuck off icicle, Rinoa who was dating his rival and had previously shown no interest in Squall outside of his professional aspect is suddenly all over him and so on.

-Likely naming mistake; PSYduck is Golden, but GOLDuck is a master psychic.

-Venomoth was supposed to look like butterfree does today. In addition to general similarities in appearance, venomoth used the exact same shade of gray as metapod in its blue/red version sprite, and butterfree was black like venonat was. I suspect there was a mix up or coding error no one noticed or bothered to clean up afterwards.

This second one is more likely than you'd think, considering the sprite used today for venomoth is actually based on a kind of butterfly, not a moth.

Much as I loathe to say these words... I wish Futurama had stayed cancelled. I don't find it funny, clever, engaging, there is waaay too much Bender (I mean the show was getting far too Bender-centric prior to cancellation) and the overall tone is way to self congratulatory.
