The Staedtler Mars Micro.
God, I love this pencil. The soft rubber piece provides near-perfect grip without getting slippery after long use, and the front piece of brushed aluminium makes it exceptionally resilient to fatigue, keeping the lead feeder safe from bending damage.
It also sports a classic and timeless design in solid blue plastic, and a metal bar that the user can remove if they feel like it's getting in the way. My God. It even has extruded text on the sides.
The only negative things I can think of, is how the rubber piece have a tendency of getting sloppy after a few years, and that the metal top cap is a little loose. Other than that, it's damn near perfect.
So, Escapists. What is your favorite writing tool?
EDIT:
I seem to have made a bit of a mistake. I meant pencils not pens! My mistake.
