The Staedtler Mars Micro.

God, I love this pencil. The soft rubber piece provides near-perfect grip without getting slippery after long use, and the front piece of brushed aluminium makes it exceptionally resilient to fatigue, keeping the lead feeder safe from bending damage.
It also sports a classic and timeless design in solid blue plastic, and a metal bar that the user can remove if they feel like it's getting in the way. My God. It even has extruded text on the sides.
The only negative things I can think of, is how the rubber piece have a tendency of getting sloppy after a few years, and that the metal top cap is a little loose. Other than that, it's damn near perfect.

So, Escapists. What is your favorite writing tool?

EDIT:
I seem to have made a bit of a mistake. I meant pencils not pens! My mistake.

I had a pencil that looked identical to that pen. It, however, eventually broke, and I was sad.

I prefer pencils to pens for most of the time, as erasing is much easier than using whiteout.

It's so awesome, it doesn't really need a grip, also my hands don't get tired after using it for long stretches of time. It's even easy to correct mistakes. And on top of that, it's way harder to lose it than any other pen I've used.

Ditto. With me secondary choice being:

I cannot remember the last time I physically wrote something that wasn't my signature for a package or a pizza or something.

It was an amazing pen and the ink lasted for ages too. Also it was a nice little gamer thing to use as well.

I have a knife pen which is kinda fun but...

OT: I have the exact same pen and while I like it I have used pens I enjoy more ussually fairly similar to that one just more rounded to be honest.

Do you not distinguish between pens & pencils, or something? Just out of curiosity...

OT: Ehm... don't really have a favoured writing implement... just use whatever writes dark but holds comfortably and lasts a sufficient amount of time.

Of course, I prefer using a keyboard because my handwriting positively sucks...

It's a mechanical pencil, pens typically don't have "lead feeders". Not that pencils use lead anyway, if we're gonna be pedantic about it.

I like basic ball pens for casual note taking, they don't smudge and scribbling out is perfectly acceptable. Different, bright colors are good for organizational and motivational purposes. I prefer to take tests in pens when possible, too. Math and calculations are always pencil, though.

I have this telescopic pen thing that's pretty cool. Means I don't have to worry about a cap, or clicking the damn thing. Just pull it out like some old-timey spyglass.

D:< That's not a pen at all! I feel like my trusting nature has been abused and treated like some shoddy and inglorious thing to be casually tossed aside for your perverse amusement!

I prefer to use a simple blue ballpoint Bic pen.

That is all.

I'm a bit of a "snob" when it comes to my writing. As such I only use Fountain Pens .... a sterling silver fountain pen to be exact.

I am a huge fan of typing, and later printing it. My handwriting is rather messy, and type has better font options.

I'm not that big on pens, as they are hard to erase and such. Also, this:

Clicky pens are awesome.

You can annoy people with them and make them blast off like rockets. There's nothing not to love.

This thing. It's a pen, it's a flashlight, it got UV, it's a laser pen and it can be used as a stylus on my 3DS and probably on the Wii U too.

Sorry, I have no Idea what this pen type is called but I really like it.

There the ones that leave small lines, with a point that can be retracted by rotating the back.

They're best without a clip on the back.
