I'll get straight to the point:
How does sex influence your life as a gamer. And by sex, I mean the lack of it, the excess of it or the simple thought of it.

No need to go into detail about your sexual exploits. Just would like to have a general consensus on how my fellow Escapists view the necessity of sex as a part of their lives.

Discuss.

EDIT: READ THIS POST PLEASE! The topic question is: How does (lack of, excess of or thought of) sex influence your life as a GAMER.

Good lord, does nobody read the OP anymore?

I'll help you guys along. I used to game a lot! about 20+ hours a week. Then my girlfriend moved in with me and we started having sex quiet often. But this has caused my average gaming time to drop down to about 5-6 hours a week. Sex has cut into my game time! And it really starting to suck. Gaming is my form of escapism and the lack of gaming has started to lead to more stress and even depression in me. :(

EDIT: Problem solved! Thanks for the advice guys. You rock![\b]

How has sex affected your gaming lifestyle?

It's an act for bonding between two people who are supposed to be in love with each other. Hence the phrase love making. >.> So fairly necessary for a healthy relationship.

If you want it, have it!.

If you don't want it..well, let's just say you have *other* options.

Personally: I have it and I enjoy it. Not having it doesn't end my world either way..though I do get cranky.

Hmm..

Sex doesn't really impart an effect on my gaming lifestyle. Then again, I don't have a gaming lifestyle. I only play a game when a decent one comes out or if I am reviewing something.

Eitherway, games can be paused. Sex can't. Never planned on combining the two though...

If I wasn't getting some, I would be out looking for some and therefore not gaming. So it does have a direct effect on my gaming life.

Being married, I am in a position to get some whenever, but that is not how the world works. But I can't go looking for some, so I game. Again, it has a direct effect on my gaming life.

No. He was explaining the process of 'making love'. Sex is a colloquial or slang term for sexual intercourse. It can be because of love, money, boredom. As long as it involves sexual intercourse.

Its better between too people in love, no doubt. Actually quite a lot better, and not simply because inhibitions are left behind due to the familiarity of the couple. Doesn't mean the old casual isnt fun.

I always assumed sex was just a means of pretending that I was not a social loser and that someone loved me.

Well, if you're pretending that your not an unloved loser, that means that normally you are, in which case I highly doubt that you're having sex.
I doubt it as well.
Curious how we reached the same conclusion in mere minutes.

Regrettably, playing videogames in my age demographic (15 year-old secondary students) gives you social leprosy. I don't have a girlfriend, though I'm trying to cut down on being being weird. It's so damn hard if you have aspergers to even talk to girls. I never thought the cliche was actually true.

It hasn't. Or, rather, going to university and actually being pretty socially active has already ballsed up my game time to such an extent that sex now eats into social time that would be spent with others rather than game time.
