I am pretty sure what you where going for is:

The following statement is false.
The previous statement is true.

I dont see the point in lying. Though I can't say I have never lied. If put in a spot that I dont want to tell the truth I do what any politician would do. I say something completely unrelated to the subject at hand. I also think telling half truths is lying.

I would bet people here are lying about how they lie on the internet. Oh, the irony

Just a little mind game I was playing...if it boggles you, you're a simpleton. I'm trying to start a new meme. /dubious exposition

A friend and I currently have an ongoing game about lying to a very gullible girl. Bascially she would believe anything if you could say it with a straight face.

Also I am a compulsive liar on the internets (Online Games), but generally I am fairly truthful as there is not much point.

I love going to visit my grandfather because he tells little stories all the time. They are almost never true but he honestly believes whatever he just told you even if he obviously made it up on the spot. For example he once told my aunt that the McDonalds they were driving past was the oldest in the state which surprised her because it looked fairly new so on the way back she stopped and asked one of the people working there who told her that it was only a few years old. Most of his stories are more interesting than that particularly if you know he's bullshitting.

I struggle not to do the same thing but I can't remember the last time I lied knowingly.

I rarely lie. I used to lie alot when I was younger and it got me in alot of trouble. It really pisses me off when I found out im being lied to.

I only ever lie to make people, especially the parents, feel good. I hide the truth until i remedy it and if they find out after i just tell em, "you know, that thing i told you a long ass fucking time ago, guess ya forgot about it". Still, i try not to lie.... to much heh.

In primary school I had a friend who looked a good deal like me. So one day we decided to announce that we were cousins. It didn't really affect anyone, but we managed to keep it up for six and a half years. It was really funny to see everyone's reactions on the last day of school :)

I don't lie much... but that was fun.

I once made up a fake boyfriend to scare this guy away, he was a real weirdo (I called him my stalker) and he kept coming on to me - so I just blurted something out.
My imaginary boyfriend's name was Duncan and he lived in Scotland. The lie got more elaborate when I added bits to the story, like, things were a bit shaky with him but he came to see me on Valentines Day and we made up, and that his grandmother wasn't very well, and all this sort of thing. I let all my friends in on it, some of them kept telling me to just tell him I don't like him, but this was much more fun :p
When I started going out with my boyfriend, I told my stalker that I was cheating on Duncan- too funny, I still have the MSN conversations saved because his reactions were so hilarious. Eventually I "broke it off with Duncan, but we're still friends".
I don't go on MSN any more, so the lie kinda stopped (though my friends do ask me if he's alright once in a while, hehe), but those 4 or 5 months were the best and most fun lie I have ever told.

I usually don't lie, and when I do, it's usually for the white-lie kind of reasoning.

For this thread, however, I present, my silly mother. She lies almost on a daily basis, and the funniest part is, she isn't even really aware of it.

I told an Australian girl in a bar in Adelaide last night that it's not unusual for English people (like myself) to own or in fact live in castles.

I was taking the piss, but she believed me...

Also, nicely done.

Yeah, I lie, I lie a lot, not to worm my way out of trouble or anything, like school work, I'll just say I didn't do it.
I lie because people seem to accept a lie more than they accept the truth.

I'm always completely honest. It doesn't seem much use being anything else.

I think telling the truth is of great importance. Even if it's not what people want to hear.

My entire social life revolves around lies, so I have to learn how to throw bull with the best of them. The people who claim to have integrity are all just a bunch of liars who want you to trust them anyway. People are more likely to fall for a big lie than a small one, a fact that most of you are aware of.

I strongly believe in the rare art of the fantastic storytelling. The best stories are the greatest things to hear, true or full of shit, and the best ones--it's really almost impossible to tell which bits are true, and which bits aren't. But I'll tell a great ole fib, as long as they know that's what I'm doing.
