Never considered vanilla duns to be that hard though, maybe its just me but those were on insane farm to get the t0.5 and be able to get into raids :p Original stratholme is still my favorite dun.

Only thing stopping me from resubbing is what yahtzee has said. I'm too concerned with having bigger numbers and will just end up spending most of my free time doing the same raids over and over. But I also love socializing in the game, fuck I don't know what to do >.>
Do what us sane people do: play the game without trying to "keep up with the Joneses".

Impossible for me, I like to raid too much. Raiding is most of the reason I played, and the reason I quit.

Blizzard, you made your game tedious and slow paced. It's harder to play casually since heroics take so much longer.

And there is a difference between a raid boss being challenging and just requiring near perfect execution of strategy to pull off.

Well again, do you like to raid for the experience of it, or for the gear? It's entirely possible to raid without having the best gear out there. Just join a chill guild that doesn't require an average item level of 5 billion in order to apply for raids and you'll be fine

Just right eh? Thats why they just nerfed the hell out of heroics?
there aren't any real nerfs. There are even a buffs to bosses such as lord godfrey pistol barrage randomly facing someone instead of tank. Looks like many wipes will be had there.

Completely agree that the difficulty is a lot more balanced then when wotlk launched. probably cause they reused a lvl 60 raid instance.

I've found the Heroics rather enjoyable so far. I'm getting a bit bored of them now though, as I'm pretty much pre-raid geared. My guild is friendly, but they're also not growing much, and I don't see raiding happening for a while. There's a good social guild on my server who have a lot of members, and do a bit of everything including leveling, raiding, heroics, etc. It sounds like the place for me, so I might need to make a little guild switch.

I guess it's not the gear that matters, it's just experiencing all of the content. Joining a chill guild wouldn't work for me because i'd get frustrated when people make mistakes that I learned not to make 5 years ago. :(

Fair enough, though "chill" doesn't always translate into "doesn't stay out of the fire". More often than not it just means they have a shorter raiding schedule than those at the bleeding edge.

WoW has never been hard and I don't understand how anyone could ever think it is/was =\.

Right out the gate in 04 it was widely known to be a joke of an mmo when it came to difficulty. I'm not saying the game is unenjoyable, but it was never hard and I get a laugh out of the folks who talk all big like how they did "so and so when it was hard".

"The hardest part of WoW is dealing with the other players." - anyone who has ever played the game knows what I mean by that :p

really? now that Lich King is old news, they can finally admit that they dumbed that game down too much? bold move, Blizzard, bold move! "now that we've fixed it made it irrelevant, we can actually admit that we f***ed up!"
^This. Anyone remember just about every single blue post (and they weren't rare by a long shot) denying Wrath was too easy during the actual expansion?

Oh well, don't care anymore. Plenty of better MMOs coming up and I can't be arsed paying Blizzard some 35 euros for an expansion and then another 15 for the subscription just to try out pretty much the same thing I've been playing for the past several years. Not to mention there's the "cheat syndrome" that even they themselves admitted to, basically once you put the content difficulty to an absurdly low level, going back to normal is like trying to play a game after playing through it several times using cheats. In short, it's not fun anymore.
