So, I was just thinking upon my school years and how many times I lied about an ailment to get out early. One instance caught my minds eye because not only did the lie turn out to be true, the lie most likely saved my life.
One month during my first 6th grade year (Yeah, I failed 6th grade. Shaddap ;-
, I decided to lie about not being able to breath on 3 occasions. After the 3rd time, my parents took me to the doctor whom proceeded to take a chest X-Ray and found a lot of crap in my lungs. The next day, I took a Pulmonary test (I believe that's what it was called) and was diagnosed with severe asthma and given an inhaler and nebulizer.
Not one week later I had a severe asthma attack. The only person home besides me at the time was my sister. She called 9-1-1, but all of the ambulances were already enroute to another location. I told her I had a nebulizer. She got it ready, I started it up and 15 minutes later I could breath normally again.
Now, if I hadn't lied and gotten my nebulizer, I most likely would have died from that asthma attack since emergency transportation was not available. To this day, I can't decide whether it was luck or if it was karma biting a big chunk out of my ass.
So, have you experienced a lie that turned out to be true?
