In regards to unidentified flying objects, I've seen my share, but none that would qualify as bizarre, otherworldly, unexplainable, or disconcerting. More along the lines of 'who threw whatever-that-was at me?'
That's awesome.

I've had an experience more in keeping with the theme of this thread, but it wasn't anything to take much time thinking about. Besides, nobody believes people who see UFOs and ghosts, and discredits them as insane, under the influence, or otherwise incapable of making a distinction between a known object in the sky and one that is not.

Anyway, here's my story:
In the deep canyons of the Wasatch Mountains, wind roads to centroids of various parts of nowhere. Once you get over the breathtaking views of rocks, you start to look up into the sky to see what else there is; especially if you live in the area. I was one of 4 in the car that day, and we each saw the same thing, though nobody mentioned it until the encounter was already far past over.

Above the high cliffs, a perfectly round silvery object hovered as we drove through the canyons. It remained completely motionless, regardless of the high winds known to blow over the mountain range. I remember thinking it was a balloon, and watched it for a while as it hovered in broad daylight. I turned around, and as I returned my attention to the object, it seemed to react to my gaze. It dropped down into the canyon in an instant, where it hovered for a moment. It couldn't have been bigger than a car - based on the shadow it cast. A moment later, it darted back up into the sky - straight up, and disappeared.

When we all arrived at our destination, one of my companions asked if we had seen the object, and all but the driver told a similar story. While it certainly was a strange thing to experience, I don't believe it is otherworldly, government conspiracy, or otherwise. It's simply something weird that happened, nothing more.

Also, I'm a drug-crazed lunatic that eats babies.

I'll take the bait.

About ten years ago I was on an overnight flight to the US and they dimmed all the lights so people could sleep. I wasn't tired at all, and whilst staring out the window I saw a formation of lights that, for life of me, I can only depict as looking like this:

------
/
/
------
Imagine each symbol as a ball of yellowish, bright light but dancing across the top of the clouds in perfect formation. It was probably just geese or something but it scared the blue hell out of me as an impressionable teenager.

I've never seen anything that I couldn't adequately explain. Not that I didn't want to- I was a UFO (& general paranormal) enthusiast for most of my childhood.

Silver discoid object seen in my resident city a couple of times. Its movement is enough to say that's it's not a conventional aircraft, i.e not one in the current media spotlight.

And can we please take such topics more seriously guys, yes it's different from what people are used to, yes some people into the whole UFO thing are complete maniacs, but not all sightings can be dismissed easily.

Conversely, my silver disc in the sky doesn't have to be greys from zeta reticuli, could very well be a USAF project.

Or the Annunaki Lizard Overlords from Planet X coming down to check out their long-term genetic engineering project. AKA, the human race.

Or their Draconian leadership caste from Altair, checking up on THEM.

Or the Sirians from the Dog Star. They work for the Annunaki, but look like mermaids. With lizard heads. And their ships are filled with salt water.

Or the Purples from Bellatrix. The Annunaki's enforcers.

Or it could've been a Hominoid ship, the sworn blood-enemies of the Annunaki. They look like giant humans, and were the genetic base of the Annunaki's experiments. If so, the ship could've belonged to the Hyadeans, the Pleiadeans from planet Erra, the ancient Lyrans, ancestors of the Hominoids, the Vegans who offshot from the Lyrans before the other Hominoids and are a precursor, unrelated species. Or it could've just been a scout ship manned by Janites or Ummites, full humans who were settled on other planets by the Hominoids to study them and help them fight off the Lizard invaders.

Or the Grays from Orion. They're kinda greenish.

And if you think I'm pulling all of this out of my backside, you need to read up. People who believe in UFOs have some great stories to tell. Great, crazy stories.

Same here.

Another story I just remembered:

[li]Several Years ago, Me and my parents went to the drive thru to go see Signs(The one with Mel Gibson..... With the crop circles...). Ironically, Shooting stars were falling that night and about an hour into the movie, my dad tells me to look up and when I do so I see what appears to be a "Falling Star". It was a white object that was moving left and right and eventually disappeared. My Dad likes to give me a good scare, so he joked and said it was a UFO. Being that I was 7-8 years old, I was truly convinced it was a UFO. Fortunately, both my parents reassure me it was, in fact, a meteor. I believed it..... Until last spring, 6 years later. I was watching "UFO hunters" on the history channel and they said that a meteor can never Zig-zag or move in a different direction unless it's being controlled by some intelligence of sorts. So basically, that means that we (must've) seen an actual UFO and not a meteor.[/li]

Well, obviously meteors can't actually zig-zag, but there are certain atmospheric effects or distortions that can make it appear as if it is turning. Trust me, I've watched a lot of these shows.

The area I live in England (South-East, Brighton if you have to fucking know) is famous for bizarre sky sightings. Which makes sense as planes take off and land in Gatwick nearby, and people here are often wasted.

Not sure about lights in the sky, other than the odd satellite really.

But I heard that out in the country there are rocks hundreds of miles across crashing into each other but it all gets hushed up.

Points for the reference.

I just wanna know why UFOlogists are so obsessed with anal probes? I think they said it in South Park... these creatures travel great distances to shove a metal rod up someones ass.

My mother saw a UFO with her boyfriend in California Foothills as a teenager. A big metal sphere with smaller ones orbiting it, flying low and silent. They never told any authorities because it was during the 60's. And no they were not high on acid either. A little wierd...
groom lake is rather close, so probly some experimental plane from there or could be from an airplane company and one of their whacky inventions, yes they have them, out for a test flight

Aliens are real they have to be i mean do the math, but comming to see us is highly improbable.
1.)True.
2.)Who knows? Anything is possible.
actually the probability of flying here from another galaxy is next to impossible. about the only way would be a wormhole if they do exist or some form of folding space and time

I just think that with the universe as we know it being so ridiculously large as it is, the chances that we are the only advanced life forms seems somewhat slim, I mean given how many planets there are; there must be others with perfect living conditions.

If not though well, God help us all.
Of course I've always liked to think we'd be the ones who developed interstellar travel and would discover alien life. Then we could do the probing, probably up what turned out to be their ears or nose but probing nonetheless.

/coat.

Actually, the government wants us to believe in UFOs. When we're thinking they're UFOs, we won't be thinking that they're top-secret prototype military aicraft. 'Cause then we could go tell the Soviets. And we would get nuked. We wouldn't want that, would we?

UFOlogists are (inadvertantly) communists.
