Personally, I don't see what all the fuss is over the Episode III hate.
Yes, Episode I wasn't great. The Podracing wasn't THAT bad (At least we got a half-decent racing game out of it), there was little action because it was all build-up, but Jar-Jar had to die. The Episode DID have Darth Maul... and that's more or less it.
Episode II needed a script rewrite, specifically in the romance department (sadly, that was the MAJORITY of the movie). Less emo and awkward Anakin, more anger. The action was good, and we got to see what Yoda was before becoming the wise sage to Luke. We FINALLY figured out where those damn Stormtroopers kept coming from, and we saw what made Boba Fett.
But Episode III? It was almost as good as the movies in the original trilogy, in my eyes. No Jar-Jar, awesome space battles made their return, we finally saw the death throes of the Republic (and Palpatine's true 'unlimited power'), Anakin's loss of limbs, and barely any romance of the 'sandy skin' variety.
I'll say this- Episodes I & II could've been combined into one movie for all I care, but I hold III in a fairly high regard. After Empire and the original, it's a tossup between Jedi and Sith.
