But if there is one thing more I hate then small children, it is incompetent mothers.

Why do some mothers feel the need to ban violent games? Because they were to incompetent to check the rating.

Why do I get constantly kicked on the plane by a child? Because, even after I asked her nicely to control her child, she doesn't say anything.

Why are many small children absolute monsters that think they can do anything and not get away? Because the mother was not willing to punish them, and now the damage is done.
And don't give me none of this "It is wrong to hit the children" sense. In some ways it is, like to get out anger and frustration. What we shouldn't be afraid of a doing is a good smack on the back of the head for when they misbehave in public.

Thoughts?

Because society at the moment is removing responsibility and turning everyone into victims.

Drug Addict? Victim
Robber shot by the person you were robbing? Victim
Made too fat by eating McDonalds? Victim

See where i'm going with this? There's no responsibility for anything anymore.

Okay, stop acting like violence is the perfect solution to all these parenting problems. I'm not saying physical discipline is bad, but it doesn't allow an incompetent parent to properly discipline their children. They will still suck at parenting, even if they sue physical discipline.

I have a 3 year old brother and he is the most polite, courteous and downright cute human being on the planet.

In short: It depends on the kid, and it depends on the mother.

And I am with you. Some of them are little shits that do need a good smack over the face.

I dislike small children these days. All these rules (as well as modern society) have made them into little pests who get off with everything. They whine and make a scene in public, and their parents can't even deliver a slight tap to them before some incompetent unemployed hippy sees them and gets the parent arrested.

As much as I hate kids, hitting them is still wrong and that comes from someone who was threatened with the belt, and had it used on him, by his dad. It just made me act out more and I'd suspect it would do the same in other kids too.

And we all know incompetant parents are horrible, especially the ones that try to be a friend to their kids above all else because that's when they lose and when we lose and then the kid loses because they get bullied for being an utter twat.

Mothers AND FATHERS
Let's not get sexist here
The torture thing was an idea I wanted to share, so that all the world could know..

OT: This isn't abuse, it is a bit of pain that shows that the kid is not in charge. Trust me, I was raised this way...

Thank you, this is a good way of summing up what I was saying.

I knew nothing good could come of a "Like Yatzee..." title... But I do agree with you about the children thing. Worked for me, and I stopped misbehaving.

Dammit Ninja'd. Well played TheNamlessGuy, well played.

OT: I don't hate kids as such, I just hate people with qualities that are common in children. Also, I dislike the qualities that tend to make people bad mothers/fathers. So it isn't the group I hate, it is the qualities that are inherent to that group that I hate, to elaborate, I don't hate kids, I just hate people below the age of twelve, it isn't my fault that all kids happen to have that quality [small]I kid, I kid (no pun intended)[/small]

Bit of a sadist, aren't we?

First the torture, now this...
I never said I got joy from this...
And that torture thing was an idea, it was something legal, and if people would still be against it...

No I agree a small smack for a child does wonders if verbal tactics doesn't get the message accross. I was indeed smacked a few times as a child but it should only be done in the worst of circumstances. i.e: Tantrums, destructive behavior, etc.

Im not talking full out abuse here, I mean if someone as an adult is freaking out whats the most effective way to snap them out of it? yup, a good hard smack.
Works the same for a rampaging child.

Mothers are frightened now to do anything to their kids, even verbally, and it really makes me not want to be a parent any time soon.

I was smacked as a child, not in an abusive way but i got a firm slap on the ass if i misbehaved and i'd like to think i turned out a decent person as a result. There is a fine line between discipline and abuse. Personally i think the law has taken too much power from parents and teachers thus enabling misbehaviour.

However, irresponsible parenting also takes its part because kids are impressionable. If the parents are law breaking pricks with no respect for society, what lesson does that teach the kid?
