Kane and Lynch. I loved the game until like 90% of the way through. Why the fuck am I fighting a war in Cuba! Not really limp, just like weird
Lol, me too...FallenTraveler said:as I first read the title I thought it was some sort of joke about not being able to "hold it in" if you know what I mean, and thne trying to help her finish and being limp... yeah, that's what I thought when I opened this
OT: I have to agree with you, but I suppose most platformers for me, LittleBigPlanet was amazing, but the way they designed enemies I think kind of made the finale fall flat.Borderlands, surprised someone hasn't mentioned that yet... can't think of any more off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are plenty more
I don't mean to be an ass with this, just tossing it out thereTyro Seri said:ok yeah i know all that, but surely they could've come up with something bigger than "they leave in a space ship"Celtic_Kerr said:war for Cybertron ties into all the comics and TV shows, so ofcourse they couldn't give a definate ending... The war has to rage on for thousands of years, so if the autobots or decepticons win the war on cybertron, then the entire francise that comes after is altered...Tyro Seri said:i finished 'Alan Wake' this evening and was largely disappointed by its limp (and somewhat confusing) ending. but then i thought about it for a second..... sonic unleashed, transformers WFC, no more heroes 2, these were games that (in my opinion) had a good beginning story and good gameplay, but their endings sucked!
why do you think this is??????
what game do you think has a limp ending?
how about Optimus and megatron fight each other, then just when optimus is about to give the killing blow Starscream swoops in a saves Megatron, the desepticons leave cybertron just as the core shuts down, THEN the autobots board the ARK and chase the decepticons, with optimus vowing to megatron that no matter where they go, the autobots will always battle to destroy the evil forces of the decepticons!
isnt that cooler?
But it wasn't open. It ended with him still being insane, and him accepting his insanity and the orderlies then taking him to the lab where he gets lobotomized.Straying Bullet said:Shutter Island? How is that a limp ending when it's open enough for everyone to have their own view on it? I thought it was a masterpiece, the ending was for me really powerful.Arkhangelsk said:There are a couple, the one that stands out the most is Bad Company 2. But honestly, I'm more disappointed when movies have limp endings. The ones with the biggest guilt there are Shutter Island and Afterlife.
KOTOR 2's ending wasn't bad story-wise, it just wasn't explained very well. I think there needed to be some kind of epilogue rather than going straight from the final boss to the last cutscene and the end. I wish more games would have this, just a little more gameplay after the climax of the story, like in Dragon Age (with one of the endings). It helps to round things off better in my opinion.THEAFRONINJA said:KoTOR 2. I don't care about patches or anything. It sucked. The game up until that point was pretty good though.
Definitely agree with this one, the story in general was a little formulaic but that ending was useless. The boss wasn't threatening in the slightest, the enemy's motivation wasn't really dealt with (although I havn't played Fallout 1&2 so I don't know too much about the Enclave) and any game where they have to round it off with DLC, especially paid-for DLC, is a failure in my book.MMETEORAGA1994 said:Fallout 3. The original ending, I don't care if they released Broken Steel (a.k.a. We're sorry the ending sucked so hard we had to release mediocre ending...for $10)
Its not just that theres a squid in there but that ghost women says that it closes and now you cant enter it in your lifetime. The fact you've killed all those monsters and bandits, died countless times and pretty much cleared the entire path to the vault just for someone else to claim all the treasure ... Such a stupid ending.AlternatePFG said:Probably Borderlands. You spend like 30 hours grinding your way towards the Vault, and it turns out that all that's in it is a giant squid. Fuck that. (I liked Borderlands, but the ending pisses me off, I was hoping for at least some good loot to be in there)
...uh?Tyro Seri said:sonic unleashed [...] had a good beginning story and good gameplay[...]
Because of shitty writers, or, more commonly, no writers at all. Not much of a mystery.Tyro Seri said:why do you think this is??????
