Little White Lie.

How many of you have been told "little white lies" as a child, or now as a teen/adult?
I remember when I was little "THE STORK" was one that pissed me off the most...

How about you? Have you ever told or been told on of these lies? If so, would you care to share it with the rest of the class?

I think this applies to everyoneas no parent really wantstheir child to grow up disilusioned and depressed.

As far as the Stork goes, my parents never even though of that. They would ask me if I had condoms since before middle school.

Most people were probably told about Santa, probably the most popular,especially in the US.

Being told that bambi was nothing more than a drawing. . .that one bugged me since I was always freaking out about his mother dying.

My mothers response to that was, "But honey, the artist just stopped drawing her. . ."

What do you mean. . . stopped. . .drawing. . . her. . . ?

Oh and the whole tooth fairy thing. Not that I was super upset by it, just the fact that I could have saved a lot of time and just knocked them all out at once and handed them right to my dad for a check

Never heard the term "black lie" just white so your one that has to throw the word "racist" in here first when it has nothing to do with the subject at hand oh goodie.

EDIT: He also said little so I presume he's hating on midgets as well.

2nd Edit: I've never been told such things and I've found out about the origin of babies from a huge anatomy book in 1st grade I found in the school library.

Toothfairy, I thought that was the greatest thing, I once bartered for a friends tooth, and put it under my pillow without telling my parents, didn't get crap, and my sister told me it was fake.

I lost my favorite transformer for nothing...

I still 'believe' in Santa too, in that I believe in putting differences aside and just enjoying the holidays together... the 'Christmas Spirit' if you will.

I also believe in another guy who told us to follow in His example, and I feel both of these beliefs are powerful things that can bring much good to the world and those in need

On topic, santa and the tooth fairy were the lies I was told as a child.

The First time I found out Santa Claus wasnt real, my Grandmother got me the same Batman pj's as "santa" and then I overheard my Grandmother asking someone "I wonder where (my mom's name) got that pair of Pj's from.

I was pretty pissed off, so I ruined it for everyone in my Class when we went back to school.

White is a symbolism of purity. Never heard of a black lie. Besides, humans aren't even black or white. And it makes you racist for ignoring Hispanics, Arabs, Asians, et cetera.
