For the last time, people, calm down! Even though you guys may think a big screen, big budget, Dexter's Laboratory movie, animated, live action, or both, might prove an unachievable goal for even a number of notable filmmakers, It will be I, Timbox, who might the unlikeliest of filmmaking individuals or so to tackle characters from a show like Dexter's Laboratory. My trick is to take the Dexter's Laboratory characters and brought them to life using 2D traditional hand drawn animated cartoons being integrated into a world fabricated from live action sets, real life location photography, miniature sets and sometimes virtual CG environments, rather than rely on human actors or CGI techniques.
But I, with my Dexter's Lab movie, Dexter's Odyssey, should not follow that show's zany cartoon antics too slavishly or so, for I will be a telling a serious, epic story, through the space of twelve films or so. If anyone can do a good job at reviving Dexter's Laboratory as a big screen, big budget movie or two or more and bring them to life correctly (using 2D traditional hand drawn cartoon animation techniques and in a character design style that would resemble, recreate and even be more faithful to the character designs of the first two seasons of Dexter's Lab or so), it shall be me or someone else. You guys think that Dexter's Laboratory is always unfilmable as a big screen, big budget movie, animated and/or live action, but I love Dexter's Lab as much as you guys do and I have taste, so I think I'll do an interesting job with the characters, even though it is a serious epic 12-episode fantasy movie saga mixing live action, 2D Traditional Hand Drawn Animated cartoons, CGI, full scale animatronics, and even special and visual effects both old and new, all shot using HD digital video, digital stereoscopic 3-D and 70 mm IMAX film cameras. But Dexter's Odyssey won't be quite the same as its source material, because I may have my own style, so don't bother or mind if I or someone else do this.
