Thank you very much.BloatedGuppy said:Included. Disable the originals or they'll conflict.erttheking said:Question. The guys that made it have six other Long War mods for XCOM 2 on the workshop. Are they included in the official Long War 2 mod, or are designed to be installed alongside it?
Oh good point, are the alien king or w/e there called which play by different rule in LW? With 12 unit on the field those would be really ridiculous.baddude1337 said:Currently re-downloading Xcom 2 alongside Long War. I personally only played a few hours of Xcom 2 as I just couldn't get into it (and it ran like crap, so hopefully many updates later performance is a bit better). Didn't play the first LW but played god knows how many games of EU and EW on PC, Xbox and Iphone, so hopefully LW2 is the fresh experience I wanted.
Also, it looks like that it's also compatible with all the DLC. Is any of it worth it, and does LW2 make the DLC's better? I did love the MEC's in EW and the Sparks look just like that, but most of the reviews for them seem to be negative.
Spark DLC is worth it, IMO. The other two are questionable.baddude1337 said:Currently re-downloading Xcom 2 alongside Long War. About 8 hours into LW2 now and I have become addicted. I have a bunch of customisation mods too as well. I get the feeling my ass will be kicked as I haven't played Xcom 2 properly before, but for now I am having a lot of fun managing multiple squads and bases.BloatedGuppy said:Spark DLC is worth it, IMO. If you have performance problems turn AO to tile only, and turn vsync and bloom off. Game should run smoothly.
Yo, question.baddude1337 said:About 8 hours into LW2 now and I have become addicted.
Default, no, but I do believe that's an in-game Long War 2 option.Zhukov said:Yo, question.
When leveling up your troops in LW2 does it show you all the future perks right from the start?
I saw some gameplay footage in which it did, but the person who recorded it was running a ton of mods so I don't know if that's standard.
Ah, righto. Found it.BloatedGuppy said:Default, no, but I do believe that's an in-game Long War 2 option.Zhukov said:Yo, question.

Yeah that was the case with the Perk Pack too. Something janky about the way XCOM2 is coded vs the first game, you can only access the Long War/Second Wave option from inside a campaign.Zhukov said:Ah, righto. Found it.
For some reason more options are available after you start a campaign than in the main menu. Probably a technical limitation.
As long as you keep infiltrating the mission at 100+ percent you should be fine with enemy count on extremely light.Asita said:I'll keep it in mind, but I'm still getting my bearings in the base game. I'm not sure I've got enough experience to handle the expected difficulty spike just yet.
