Final Fantasy XIII. The story took me 60 hours, though I have to admit probably 10 hours of that was grinding.
Oh no, Oblivion's campaign is actually just copypasta for a few hours. Morrowind's has proper variety.the spud said:Oblivion, maybe? That was really long, although I am not quite sure about how long it is without sidequests.
Yeah, but you could beat the game (see the end credits) in about 35 hours if you just get on with it.supermariner said:Final Fantasy X is pretty damn long
especially if you do all the sidequests
you basically have to traverse an entire planet on foot which takes days of gameplay time, then there's a twatload of dark aeons and PENANCE! but even once you beat the main boss (sin) the recurring side boss (seymour) is inside him, then there's yet another boss (Yu Yevon) which pits all your aeons against you which could be a string of 9 battles or so, then you fight Jecht and it's just a neverending expanding spiral of endless bosses
the game helpfully tells you how long you've been playing underneath the save
my longest record is 136 hours
i know, even for an escapist member that's still a bit long to spend on a game
I think it does actually finish after around 11 seasons.Jordi said:Technically, I think that would have to be one of the FIFA games I have, because the single-player "campaign" there is to basically just play games indefinitely.

(Thats a mod that combines BG1 and BG2 + expansions to one epic game
using BG2s engine)
Unless you ultra speed run that it will take a while.
Im currently on my 2nd run btw. and Im still in BG1 with too many hours to count.

Are you calling Throne of Bhaal a full game? That's pretty much just flat out wrong.
But anyway.
Never mind, it's the name of the mod.
I am not a fan of modifying BG, if feels dirty. Like if someone said "Hey let's take your childhood memories, and make them better!" You can't make them better.
Anyway. I spent more time in BG than any other game. The longest game would be a FF title I'm guessing.
I will just go right ahead and point out that my mate who pretty much lives off of Halo and thinks that TeS games are quaint for having swords rather than guns beat Oblivion in less than 8 hours. The main story in that game is really, really, really, short compared to what most people think it is.
